Dual Sword God - Chapter 42: The Auction's Finale!

Inside of the Mystery Pavilion, within the Auction Room.

The auction was beginning to grow further intense as more and more top class influences were starting to take part in the bidding war for the various items being auctioned. Currently, there was a pair of ancient-looking shoes that had golden feather wings attached to its edges. It gave off a noble aura as if it was above the standard of rare graded treasures while it floated silently above the exhibition platform.

The auctioneer WhiteMask looked at the audience as he spoke of this unique pair of shoes. "Guests and Honored Guests, our 30th item for auction today was created by a Grandmaster Level craftsman from craftsman empire 'Margerum.' It is an artifact that is capable of gifting its user with the ability of primary flight but only for a short period. While it is not comparable to actual flying, it could still prove to be useful for anyone below the realm of True Soul Experts!" as he said this he waved his hand and series of recorded images began to display in front of the audience of the item being used by an individual.

The audience seeing these images were surprised some of them started to make a commotion.

"I must have this item at all costs!" said an individual from the bottom layer as he looked at the shoes with greed.

"If I have his Treasured Artifact, it should be able to increase my chances of exploring the upcoming mystic realm," said Ji Weng as he looked at this artifact with fire in his eyes.

Seeing the look in Ji Weng's eyes Xuan Bei frowned as he looked towards Mistress Xuan, upon seeing his look Mistress Xuan sighed as she nodded her head giving him the go ahead.

"Hmm, this items grade must at least be that of upper-rank earth tier for it to be capable of utilizing the fragments of the natural laws that govern flight." said an expert from the fifth layer in slight admiration as he looked at the floating shoes.

"Great! Introductions are now over, the starting price for this item is five hundred and fifty thousand low-grade essence stones!" as he said this the competitors immediately began to bit once more with even more outrageous prices.

"The Molten Axe Sect offers six hundred thousand low-grade essence stones!" said an influential individual from the sect.

"I Ji Weng offers six hundred and fifty thousand low-grade essence stones! "said Ji Weng as he raised his auction plate.

"I Xuang Bei offers seven hundred and fifty thousand low-grade essence stones! "said Xuan Bei.

The crowd who were observing the proceedings started to chatter as they heard these two characters competed.

"The Western Genius versus the Eastern Prince, hmm, this should make for quite an entertaining bout." said a man seated on the second layer.

Tang Wu and Xin Qing looked at the two in surprise but soon they came to realize why they were actually bidding for the item. Tang Wu looked at the pair of floating shows and shook his head while saying. "It's pointless to waste money for such an artifact, after all, even if one could fly for a short time inside of the mystic realm who's to say there won't be unexpected dangers in flight."

Xin Qing who share a similar idea also observed the two betting with a look of mock on her face as she thought inwardly."Hmph! Such big dummies! I wonder what they do if they found that getting such item only increases the risks they face?"

As the auction continued Feng Yu, Dai Lin, and Hui Ying had also been paying attention towards its proceedings. Currently, there were two swords resting on Feng Yu's legs, bounded together as if trying to achieve some sort of resonance.

"Young Master, do you not want anything more for yourself?" asked Dai Lin who was now playing with a sparkling black gauntlet with his hands. Vaguely, a spark of blue electric current would flow over the hard edges on its surface.

Feng Yu looked towards Dai Lin and replied: "I'm fine, I've already gotten what I've set out to acquire, now I only need to wait and see if this final auction item is actually as special as what is listed in the catalog." as Feng Yu said this he couldn't help but smirk when he saw the gauntlet in Dai Lin's hands as he spoke once more. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

"Heh, Dai Lin it seems you've taken quite a liking for those gauntlets."

"Ha Ha! of course, these fist weapons are very suitable to my combat style I can't wait to try it out in actual combat," replied Dai Lin as a look of confidence came over his face.

"Hmm, then why not we have a match when we head back to the Manor? I'd like to test my swords as well," said Feng Yu with a sharp look.

"Eh? Young Master is joking! I... I've only just gotten the items. I think I'll need to consolidate my cultivation base and train the new members of Dawnwing a bit..." said Dai Lin who was now feeling a bit flustered.

Hui Ying seeing his laughed as he added "Ha Ha Ha! Brother Feng, looking to bully your retainer why not add me to the fun?"

"The more the merrier!" said Feng Yu as his eyes boiled with fighting spirit.

After a while of talking Hui Ying then asked Feng Yu "Brother Yu, what do you think of the final item in the catalog?"

As Feng Yu heard this he was about to reply but suddenly there was a change in the auction room.

BANG!!

As WhiteMask slammed the cane in his hand onto the ground he looked towards the audience and spoke. "Sold to the Genius of Western Kingdom!!!"

"Damn! That bastard!..." said Xuan Bei as he looked towards Ji Weng with hatred visible in his eyes.

"Heh! Brother Xuan, you're still too early to be challenging me at betting games." Ji Weng said in a voice that reached only Xuan Bei's ears.

Clap. Clap.

Suddenly, WhiteMask clapped his hands together and the lights within the auction began to change.

Flash. Flash. Flash.

Soon, a collection of multiple different lights collected on the exhibition platform, creating an even more colorful scene as WhiteMask stood silently within the center of the stage. He looked towards the audience as raised his hands and spoke in a loud voice.

"Ladies and Gentlement, Guests and Honored, we have approached the end of today's auction, I'd like to introduce our final item today, that I'm sure many of you will find rather interesting. In fact, it is the very item that many of your esteemed individuals have come to today's auction to claim. I present to you..." as he said this he snapped his fingers causing a change to occur on the stage once more.

Puuiii!!!!!

With a bright blinding light soaring from the center of the sage to the ceiling an ancient and old looking piece of paper soon quickly appeared on this paper was a series of locations, each mapped out in an incredibly detailed and specific order. The paper had an image of a dragon that coiled itself around its edges, seemingly to be alive.

As the influential individuals saw this scene they couldn't help but feel excited, most individual at the most top layer of the betting room had also begun to grip their betting plates firmly.

Feeling that the time was right, WhiteMask smiled underneath his mask and spoke once more.

"I present to you... the Ancient Dragon Battle Chart!!!!" shouted WhiteMask as is voice resounded throughout the room.

As Feng Yu and Hui Ying saw this item the two of them couldn't help but feel surprised.

"So it was actually a chart of the Mystic Realm. No wonder they didn't clearly describe what the item was in the catalog, as it would have alarmed even more terrifying individuals into struggling to partake in this auction!" exclaimed Hui Ying who looked at the item floating on the platform.

"Indeed, this is going to be one fierce battle, " said Feng Yu as he looked towards this item.

"Brother Yu, does your family want this item? I don't think you'd be able to snatch it away from the noses of these individuals," said Hui Ying who looked towards Feng Yu curiously.

"Ha Ha! You're mistaken Brother Ying, I never intended to compete with these guys for the unknown item related to the Ancient Dragon Battlefield from the very beginning," said Feng Yu.

"What!" replied both Dai Lin and Hui Ying as looked at Feng Yu.

"Then why did you still bother to stay after acquiring your sword?" asked Hui Ying puzzledly.

"That's simple! Apart from my own personal objective, I was given one more task to accomplish while attending the Mystery Pavilion's Auction, and that was..." replied Feng Yu as he looked through the window at the forms seated on the topmost layer.

Soon, a few individuals could be seen seating themselves at the center of the top layers influences, the influential individuals who sat around them adopted a more docile and passive attitude.

Seeing these forms, or rather, the three individuals seated among these forms Hui Ying looked at Feng Yu in shock as he stated. "Aren't those three individuals from the last time?..."

"Em! That's right, they are most likely the strongest party that has now finally gathered here in Machen Town. My task was to gather as much information as possible about the hidden influences gathered at the auction. Now that they have made their appearance my duty is now complete, as that symbol gathered on that man's chest says it all." said Feng Yu as he pointed towards the man seated by the three familiar individuals from their last encounter.

Hui Ying following gesture looked at the symbol on the chest of the man, it was a golden dragon embellished with fine golden threads from of unknown materials.

"That symbol, so they were actually from there..." replied Hui Ying in slight surprise.

"The Golden Dragon Empire's Group..." said Dai Lin as he looked towards them with a bit of reverence.

Feng Yu looked at the figure of the young man seated among the individuals with a sharp look in his eyes as if sensing something the young man looked towards the wall directly staring at Feng Yu's position.

However, he soon moved away from his vision after furrowing his brow slightly.

"We meet again, mysterious youth..." murmured Feng Yu as his voice faded away into the commotion taking place.
Dual Sword God

Dual Sword God - Chapter 41: The Purple Rose Sword Exault, Crimson Ember

A sea of purple flames danced about the hollow world uniquely as they continued to endless burn in an attempt to devour its remnants. The strange purple haired man sat in this sea of odd flames as he casually glanced towards the red-haired young man who appeared before him.

A look of surprise could be seen on his face as he murmured in a soft voice:"A traveler of fate, one who is guided by a higher destiny? How strange? Why have you come to this realm?"

As he said this the sea of flames surrounding him began to churn as they danced around his form as if they were trying to eat him alive, Feng Yu who saw this man felt shocked!

"The Exalted Purple Rose Swordman!!! How could he be here? Is this strange Sword Tablet his legacy?" As Feng Yu thought up to here, he couldn't help but recall the name of this figure.

The Purple Rose Sword Exault, a figure of legend, said to have been one of the most mysterious character's of the sword in the Tianlan Sword World's history. Legend has it that this powerful figure had vanished after taking part in a battle that shock their world in the distant past, he disappeared for so long that very world itself believed him to have died from a serious injury caused during that battle. However, only a few individuals knew the truth, one of those individuals being the likes of Feng Yu's previous master.

******

It was an unusual place, filled with immense spiritual energies of heaven and the earth.

Far within the distance, a mountain could be seen standing firmly, as if it had shouldered the changes of time itself. It emitted an archaic prestige silently as it upheld its place in this world.

At the top of this mountain, there were two figures, an old man wearing Ancient Daoist Robes and a young man who seemed to be no older than 30 years of age; he had short black hair and an appearance that was common.

The old man stood with his back face facing the young man and his front facing the world below the mountain as he looked deeply in the sky with a profound gaze and spoke.

"Disciple, there are three individuals in this world that can be considered to have reached the apex of their respected area of skills."

"...." As he said this the young man who knelt behind him remained silent as he listened to his master's words.

"These individuals are, the Void Bladesman Warscar Blade Exault, the Light Sage TruthSeeker Exault and the expert at the pinnacle of the sword, the Purple Rose Sword Exault said the old man as he withdrew his vision from the world and glanced towards young man solemnly.

"Remember my words, never take the Sword Exault lightly, for the moment you do…" as he said this he paused again for a while before speaking.

"You will certainly suffer, a tragic end!..." as he said this he turned his head again and looked towards the distant horizon once more, but this time if one were to look closely at the side of his face they would see a strange scar that ran all the way to his neck.

******

Back within the sea of purple flames, Feng Yu who recalled the words of his old master couldn't help but run cold sweat. He looked towards the Purple Rose Sword Exault and responded. "I came seeking a sword from a broken legacy, may I ask why senior is here?"

"A broken legacy, ah… so that's what this is about? No wonder you could appear here. The mark on your destiny star also seems to be familiar, could it also be what has guided you here? Hmm, no matter, the faded shall remain as remnants while the things of the past will be forgotten through time. Take what lingers of my past and go!" said the Purple Rose Sword Exault as he waved his hand causing a rusty crimson sword to separate from the center of a stone platform and appear in front of Feng Yu.

Seeing the sword appear before him, Feng Yu was now too preoccupied with the sword to pay any attention to the words Purple Rose Sword Exault.

He reached out his hand and grasped the hilt of the sword while channeling his flame essence-energies.

Puuiiiiii!!!!!!!!

As if it found the source it needs the most the rusty crimson sword started to glow in a bright violet crimson light. Vaguely, some of the rust on the sword had begun to fade, but it remained mostly as a rusted sword.

Soon, an ancient voice filled the mind of Feng Yu who was holding the sword.

"I leave my legacy for the destined one, separated by time, here rests the last inheritance of my clan the Chronicle Sword R----L-----h!!!!"

As soon as the voice ended streams of information flowed from the sword and went into the Feng Yu's mind soon, he saw a vision of a scene that could only be described as 'the end.'

Infront of Feng Yu was a world a world that was filled with life, and many great beings that walked amongst the earth. But soon, there came war, as the supreme beings battled across the void, their world started to break to pieces as the once beautiful world turned into fragments that scattered throughout the endless void, soon, a purple haired man appeared.

He stood at the peak of a broken mountain and looked at the war-torn scene before him, a hint of regret was shown in his eyes as he spoke softly with a voice that trailed further along with the wind.

"Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, Return what is, To what must be... "

The figure drew the strange looking crimson sword causing torrents of purple colored flames to soar into the void as it blanketed the endless void into a sea of fire a place that later became, an infinite sea of purple flames.

The man seated in the sea of purple flames looked towards Feng Yu with a smile on his face, he reached his arm out that grew bigger and bigger until it eclipsed the world itself. Soon, Feng Yu's form was shrouded in darkness, but it was only a moment before he saw a bright light in the distance.

Suddenly, Feng Yu opened his eyes; a felt a feeling of weariness overcome his body. He moved his hand to his neck trying to catch his breath, as beads of sweat trickled a fell from his forehead.

"pant... pant..." as he regulated his breathing he looked around the room, only to see Hui Ying and Dai Lin looking towards his hand holding the tablet with excitement.

"Brother Yu! It seems you have succeeded in cracking the language behind this strange Sword Tablet, look the sword is about the come out!" said Hui Ying as he observed the Ancient Stone Tablet break apart piece by piece.

Dai Lin looked towards Feng Yu and asked with concern "Young Master, are you feeling alright?"

Hearing Dai Lin's words Hui Ying moved his vision to Feng Yu only to see something strange, an odd purple marking appeared on the left side of his forehead for a brief moment but after a short while it disappeared after a flash of green light.

Feng Yu feeling a bit better now wiped the sweat off his forehead as he replied: "I'm... I'm fine now... let's check out this sword!"

Crumble!!!

The moment the sword tablet broke to pieces the rusty crimson sword Feng Yu saw in his dream soon appeared within the room, it floated in the void for a short period before making its way to Feng Yu who then grabbed its hilt.

Rumble!!!!!!

The Mystery Pavilion started to shake as an unknown aura filled the space, soon this aura spread across the entire town, which then expanded further covering the kingdom, the empire, and eventually, the outer continent.

******

In a distant land, a young man sat in crossed-legged posture as he looked towards the sky. As if sensing something strange he furrowed his brows and spoke "This Aura?... How odd? Why is his presence here?" as he said this he pondered for a moment before no longer paying any attention to the strange change.

"It doesn't matter even if you arrive here, destiny will not change..." said Xiang Fang as he closed his eyes and fell into a state of deep sleep. If one were to look closely at this scene, they would see that surrounding his body was a strange star like formation diagram. It glowed with flashing lights occasionally which gathered star like auras from the heavens themselves towards his form.

******

The sea became chaotic as ripples of waves spread across the endless ocean, and clouds that were as dark as night blanketed the sky. The sound of thunder could be heard, as green colored lightning dancing amongst the clouds crashed about indiscriminately. It was a dreadful storm which found only in this strange area beyond land.

Within this storm was a small boat, it was no more significant than the rafts used for fishing, but oddly enough, it remained firm and steady within this dangerous, deadly storm that could destroy the hopes of any man.

Inside of this boat was a man with braided hair who wore a bamboo hat, as he lay on his back with both his legs crossed over each other, dressed in a simple loose fitting shirt and shorts along with a sandal on his feet. If one looked carefully on his face, they would see a stubble of beard and eyes that gave off a sharp light, resting on his chest was a strange looking blade with dark runes on its sheath.

As this strange man relaxed on his journey to the unknown, he was soon disturbed by an unusual presence. He lifted his head and looked towards a specific distant part of the sky as if piercing the sky to see through the dark clouds and arriving at the place that gave of the unique aura.

"Oh? Purple Rose Sword Exalt, Interesting, I never thought I'd see the day this aura once more came into being..." said the man as an interested glimmer shone deeply within his eyes. Vaguely, the direction of the small boat changed slightly as it slowly made its way across the distant treacherous seas towards an unknown distant land.

******

Within the Mystery Pavilion only a few powerful individuals looked up towards the sky, but none of them could pinpoint the location of the strange aura. WhiteMask who was currently observing the bidding of an item looked towards the sky with a strange light in his eyes; soon a smirk became visible underneath his mask as murmured.

"Destiny has found its path!..."

Inside of the VIP Booth, Hui Ying and Dai Lin looked towards Feng Yu in surprise, as they saw the strange sword hover in the air for a moment before resting in Feng Yu's hand. However, after that happened, there was no apparent change in the sword as it seemed like nothing more than a simple rusted sword.

Hui Ying frowned, he looked towards Feng Yu and asked "Brother Feng! Is this sword any good? Why does it seem like its nothing special?"

Dai Lin looked at the sword puzzledly.

Feng Yu hearing their responses smiled as he gently stroked the sword and he replied: "This sword is different, but not everyone will be able to release that. Its name was faded when I received its legacy as it was called "R----L----H. However, I'm sure the further I grow with this sword the more of its secrets I will be able to unearth."

Dai Lin and Hui Ying looked at each other with a strange expression, but soon they decided to ignore his statement and asked another question.

"Then Brother Yu, since you do not know the name of this sword. What will you be calling it?" asked Hui Ying.

"This sword? Hmm..." replied Feng Yu as he sunk into thought after a short while he lifted the sword towards the ceiling before Dai Lin's and Hui Ying's gazes. He looked at the rusty crimson sword that was giving off an invisible prestige that only he could currently feel and spoke in a soft voice that resounded within the room.

"I call you! Crimson Ember..."

Library of Heaven's Path - Chapter 1: Swindler

"Swindler! Great swindler!"

An enraged roar could be heard. Then, the sound of flurried footsteps on a bluestone pavement echoed.

Zhang Xuan raised both his hands up helplessly and said, "I'm not a swindler, I'm a teacher of the academy… I only want to make you my student! Besides, do you have to add in a ‘great’ at that? You make it sound as though I'm some unpardonable criminal…"

After which, he suddenly recalled the words of the principal and sighed. "This is the 17th one already! If I fail to find a student today, I'll have to pack up my stuff and leave tomorrow!"

Zhang Xuan wasn’t a person from this world, he was just an ordinary librarian in a high school. All he could remember was blazing flames, and then… There was nothing after that. When he woke up once more, he was already in this world.

This world was just like those depicted in novels, where the martial arts formed the foundation of the world and the strong reigned supreme!

He thought that since he traversed into another world, he would become a useless talent who was rejected by his fiancée. After which, he would strike back at those fools, slapping them in their face, and his life would proceed smoothly from then on… But it seemed like he was overthinking it! It didn't take him long to realize that he wasn’t a student but a… teacher!

The most pathetic teacher in the entire academy!

The lectures conducted by other teachers were always overflowing with people, to the point that many people found themselves without seats. On the other hand, there wasn’t a single person in his class. It wasn't easy at all for him to rope in a few students, but eventually, they ended up labeling him as a ‘swindler’ and escaped from him!

As for the reason... Putting aside the fact that the fellow whose body was taken over by him was the weakest teacher in the entire campus, and that he was inept in picking out talents, the crux of the problem was that… he even taught a student erroneously, causing the other party's cultivation to go berserk!

This was just like having a dead patient under one's record! His reputation was sullied, and he became a despised figure in the academy. Even the freshmen chose to stay away from him, fearful that they would land in the same situation if they were to fall into his clutches.

A bad track record and a lack of students caused him to be ranked last in the academy's Teacher Qualification Examination last year. He even received the very first zero score in the entire history of the academy. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Depressed, the previous host drowned his sorrows through alcohol. In the end, just as he wished, he died, thus providing an opportunity for Zhang Xuan to leap over to this world.

At the start of the new term, the academy issued an ultimatum to him. If he was unable to admit a single student to his lessons at the start of the semester, his qualifications as a teacher would be revoked!

There were seventeen new students who passed by his classroom today, but as soon as they heard his name, every single one of them ran away as fast as their feet could take them, as though young ladies running away from a suspicious uncle.

"I have to find a way to coax at least one of them into my lessons!"

Just as he was scheming a ploy to rope someone into his lesson, he saw a lady with a slightly dazed expression standing at the entrance.

"May I know if this is Lu Xun laoshi's classroom?"

(laoshi means teacher)

She had a cute and refined appearance, and her sweet voice felt like honey to one's ears.

Lu Xun laoshi was the academy’s star teacher. His lessons were always packed, and he was the reason why innumerable people chose to attend this academy.

"I'll take her!" Seeing someone walking straight into his trap, Zhang Xuan’s eyes lit up.

All kinds of 'acting cool' techniques he learned in his previous life flashed across his head, and eventually, he chose to sit quietly in his chair, bringing out the disposition reminiscent of a composed and enlightened expert. "You wish to become his student?"

The young lady nodded her head furiously as admiration gleamed in her pitch-black pupils, "I've heard that Lu Xun laoshi is the most incredible teacher in Hongtian Academy. All of the students he taught achieved extraordinary accomplishments, and joining his class in itself could be considered an honor!"

"Rumors may not necessarily reflect the truth. Teachers are just like shoes; what is important is whether it fits or not! No matter how well he lectures, if the theories he proposed aren't compatible with the techniques you practice, not only will you find it hard to advance to higher realms, your cultivation might even regress! Even if a teacher isn’t well-known, as long as his theories complement with your skills, you can still improve swiftly and your cultivation will rise exponentially!"

"Is that so… I've also heard my elder brother speaking similar words before!" The young lady pondered for a moment as uncertainty flashed across her beautiful eyes. "However, I don’t know what kind of lessons would suit me!"

Seeing that she was on the verge of biting onto the hook, Zhang Xuan’s eyes lit up. Wise quotes from great sages like Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels flashed across his mind as he slowly sieved through his next words. Feigning a look of difficulty, he said, "Our meeting can be considered as the planning of fate as well. How about this, since I'm also a teacher of this academy, I'll help you take a look at your bones, talent, and personality, and recommend a suitable teacher to you!"

"Teacher, I'll be troubling you then!" She didn’t expect a teacher she met by chance would be so accommodating, and she immediately nodded excitedly.

"Display your cultivation first!"

Zhang Xuan’s eyes were half-open, and his slightly lazy and casual posture seemed to say that this matter was merely a walk in the park for him.

"Yes!"

Huuuuuuuuuuu!

A gust of wind whistled within the room from the shockwave generated by the might of the young lady's punch. Waves of spiritual energy gathered and shrouded the body of the lady. Judging from how her spiritual energy didn't dissipate immediately, and her powerful but inconspicuous aura, she clearly possessed a solid foundation in her cultivation.

"Alright, I can tell that you've been training diligently. Your foundation is solid and your talent is top-notch. You are a hard-to-come-by genius!" After the other party finished a punching routine, Zhang Xuan immediately nodded in satisfaction.

He was imitating the fortune tellers from the world he came from, using slippery words that had a wide range of interpretation. Through this, it would be hard for those listening to find a flaw in his words. Instead, they would be astonished by how accurate his evaluation was.

"What that stands out is the strength of your legs. They possess immense might, as though a coiling dragon. Every single movement felt like the raging current of a river, overwhelming with strength. As long as you train hard, your future will be bright…"

"Teacher, my legs are injured. The physicians that have diagnosed me said that it's as good as crippled…" The lady interrupted his monologue with a doubtful gaze.

"Injured…" Zhang Xuan’s face flushed in anxiety. However, as he was thick-skinned, it was impossible for others to tell the difference. He continued to prattle on without showing any signs of embarrassment, "Do you think that I can’t tell that much? I knew it from the moment you exerted your strength! The reason why I said that is because… only through destruction will there be rebirth! Your legs might be injured, but this has presented you with an opportunity. As long as you grasp it, your legs will become your greatest strength!"

In any case, the most important matter at hand was to coax her in. If nonsense could do the work, he would prattle nonsense all day long.

"Opportunity? Teacher, what kind of opportunity do you mean?" Hearing those words, the lady's eyes lit up.

Ever since her legs were injured, she had always felt inferior to others, resulting in her low self-esteem. She didn’t think that such misfortune would present her with an opportunity instead.

"If you grasp onto this opportunity tightly, you can allow you to soar to the top in a single go. It won’t be too difficult for you reign supreme among the freshmen. After all, your talents are extraordinary, and a genius of your caliber has yet to appear in history. However…" Zhang Xuan went on and on. All he was short of was to whip out a ‘Buddha’s Palm’ manual at this point.

Upon hearing that she was a genius capable of rising to the top of the freshmen, the girl blushed furiously, and she continued asking, "However what?"

"However…" Zhang Xuan sighed. It was a sigh lamenting that a talent was about to be buried in dirt. "The teachers who are able to notice and bring out the talent within you don’t number many in this academy! Including me, there are only three who are capable of such a feat. The other two have already stopped accepting students from three years ago… It'll be difficult for you to acknowledge them as your teacher even if I were to speak up for you…"

"Stopped accepting students?" The lady had her hopes raised by Zhang Xuan's compliments, but upon hearing those words, her heart sunk. Then, an epiphany struck her and she asked, "They aren’t accepting students, but teacher, are you… accepting any?"

"Of course I am. Just that, as you can tell, I am indifferent to fame and fortune, and I don’t have much time to spare as well!" A look of difficulty flashed across Zhang Xuan’s face. "If one isn't a superior jade, I won’t take him in even if our paths cross…"

Putong!

Before he could finish his words, the lady had already kneeled onto the floor, and she kowtowed, "I know that teacher is a powerful expert, but please accept me as your student! I'll train diligently so as to not embarrass you!"

A surge of joy gushed through Zhang Xuan’s heart, but on the surface, he maintained a conflicted expression. "Fate has brought us together, but… As you can see, I prefer to pass my time quietly…"

"As your student, I promise to never interrupt teacher unless it's an emergency!" Seeing that the other party was still reluctant, the lady immediately nodded vigorously with an earnest look on her face.

"I don’t have many students, and so, the resources I have cannot be compared to other teachers. Also, you might be criticized by others…" Zhang Xuan continued.

"Is that so… I have heard that training resources are important…" The girl finally hesitated.

The resources a teacher could claim from the academy was directly related to the number of his students, the results of his students, and numerous other factors. These resources were of extreme importance, and without them, it would be difficult to advance one’s cultivation.

"Cough cough, I've only those words to test you. Since you're determined and sincere, I'll grudgingly accept you!" Noticing her hesitation, Zhang Xuan immediately interrupted her and said, "Let's affirm our relationship then!"

"Ah?"

She didn’t expect that the teacher before her to change his attitude as quickly as flipping the pages of a book. Taken aback, the lady blankly grabbed the token Zhang Xuan passed to her. This token would represent of her identity as Zhang Xuan's student if she were to verify it. Just as she was considering whether she should affirm the relationship, she saw the reticent Zhang laoshi pull her hand over to him and cut a small wound with a sharp dagger. A drop of her blood fell on the jade token.

Weng!

Light flashed.

"Ah…."

The girl was a little dumbfounded.

Didn’t the teacher say that he had to consider the matter carefully? Indifferent to fame and fortune, was it? If that was the case, why was his movement so fast and... it seemed like he even prepared the dagger was prepared beforehand?

"From now on, you are my student!" After the blood authentification, Zhang Xuan heaved a huge sigh of relief. Then, continuing to assume his image as a unworldly expert, he asked "What is your name?"

"Teacher, I am Wang Ying!"

Knowing that the decision couldn’t be revoked, the lady chose not to dawdle on the matter and replied respectfully.

"Un, collect your bedding and books through your identity token, and find yourself a lodging. We shall begin lessons tomorrow here!"

Zhang Xuan waved his hands.

"Yes!" Wang Ying nodded before turning around to leave.

"Huu! I have successfully coaxed one in!"

Having successfully admitted a student, Zhang Xuan heaved a sigh of relief and smiled.

It really wasn’t an easy matter to play off as an expert. If not for the techniques in acting cool that he learned from the internet, it would be highly unlikely for him to succeed

With this student, he would be able to avoid the ultimate tragedy of being expelled from the academy. The burden that was weighing on Zhang Xuan's all his while disappeared, and his spirit felt much more relaxed. Gradually, the obsession lingering in his mind disappeared.

"Rest assured. Now that I'm in your body, I'll live properly in your stead!"

The previous Zhang Xuan died because of his inability to bring in new students. His regrets was so strong that it continued to linger in this world even after his death. This new student admitted had fulfilled his last regret, and thus, his lingering will faded. Zhang Xuan finally gained complete control over this body.

Boom!

After settling this matter, Zhang Xuan intended to continue coaxing a few more students in. However, he suddenly felt a tremor in his head, and the ancient bells rang in his head.

"The callous world regards all beings as nothing more than insignificant ants..."

"Amidst the setting sun and waning moon, an imperfection surfaces in the world..."

Boom!

Profound adages left Zhang Xuan faint-headed. Then, in his mind, a massive palace come to appearance. Above the entrance, four words glowed brightly on a plaque.

Zhang Xuan pushed open the door and walked in. Innumerable bookshelves stood tall and mighty across the vast space, and countless books of all kinds filled the empty spaces between. The entire space was so immense that he couldn't even see the other end.

"Could this be the gift pack for transcenders? A library? Damn it, I was also a librarian my previous life. Am I to continue on with this occupation in this life as well?"

The gift packs that others received are old grandfathers, systems, or some overpowered tool. Yet, my gift pack is a library?

Zhang Xuan's vision turned dark, and he nearly fainted in despair.

Library? What purpose does it serve? Will I be throwing books in fights when the others are throwing swords around?

"Forget it, I should take a look at the books first."

Helpless, Zhang Xuan reached out to grab a book from one of the bookshelves, intrigued by the purpose of this library. However, his hand simply passed through the bookshelf, causing him to grab empty air.

"Are you playing with me? Giving me a library yet preventing me from grabbing and reading any of the books, what exactly do you want?"

Zhang Xuan was speechless. An urge to cry overwhelmed him, but tears refused to spill out.

True Martial World - Chapter 55: Su Jie

True Martial WorldJust as Yi Yun was pondering over it, he saw the fat elder take out a tattered piece of yellow paper. This yellow paper resembled the paper used in the 80s in China, ones which villagers used as toilet paper. But this talisman was more tattered than those toilet paper.

The talisman's paper quality was world's apart from the paper of the "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist" manual Lin Xintong had given him.

Under the questioning gaze of Yi Yun, the fat elder stuck his fat finger into his mouth and licked it. He used his finger as a pen and began drawing on the talisman paper with his saliva.

"It's done!"

The fat elder gave the talisman paper to Yi Yun saying, "Keep it well. My talisman is worth a fortune so you lucked out. Hey! Why are you giving me that expression? You don't have to shed tears of gratitude."

Yi Yun accepted the talisman speechlessly. The saliva on it was a mess, and from the looks of it, the saliva was drying up soon.

Yi Yun gave a constipated look. Although he didn't doubt the old man's strength, he was afraid that the old man was pulling a prank on him. After all, this talisman's purpose was to protect his life!

If at the moment he was about to lose his life, such as being cornered by a desolate beast, he would pull out that piece of talisman, but if it didn't do a single thing…

That scene was too perfect. Yi Yun could not bear to think about it any further. It could be expected that the desolate beasts with intelligence would have thought that Yi Yun was being considerate by leaving a piece of toilet paper. When they wanted to take a shit after digesting Yi Yun, they could use this piece of paper to wipe their ass!

"Alright, whatever that should be given has been given. Quick make the dishes for me!" The fat elder took out a large number of pots and pans from his ring, and laid it before him in a pile noisily.

This made Yi Yun sigh with emotion. A person of high stature could do anything, and he even had such an inventory space. Even when out traveling, he would bring with him seven to eight pots. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

He was not in a hurry to make his salt-baked chicken so he cupped his fists and asked, "May I know the name of this honorable elder?"

Having gotten to know him, and received plenty of kindness from him, Yi Yun still did not know the old man's name.

"Heh, My name…" the old man paused and seemed to reminisce, "it's been a while since someone called me. Since you want to know, I'll give you a stamp."

As the old man said it, he suddenly took out a seal-like object from his ring and stamped that piece of toilet paper.

In a while, faint light was emitted, leaving a red stamp on the piece of paper.

It read two words: Su Jie.

"Su Jie?" Yi Yun's mind whirled. This name sure is special. "Jie" indicates calamity, or disaster. For parents to name a child, they would usually choose a lucky name, and they would seldom choose "Jie" for a name.

"For today's kindness, I will gratefully remember it." Yi Yun said it sincerely for he knew that despite Old Man Su having a vile mouth while being greedy and stingy, he had still helped him. And he had definitely not helped him solely for a few rounds of 'salt-baked chicken'.

Yi Yun parted with Old Man Su. Before parting, Yi Yun wrote the recipe for the salt-baked chicken and wrote a few methods of cooking that used alcohol for Old Man Su. There were good cooks in the world who could follow the recipe and create a delicious dish for Old Man Su to enjoy. This was the only way Yi Yun could requite the favor.

Before Old Man Su left, he gave some ingredients to Yi Yun. After all, the life in the wilderness was too tough.

And it was so. As the sun slowly set, Old Man Su and Lin Xintong carried on their training journey. When they turned their heads, Yi Yun had already disappeared into the mountains. All that was left were the clouds that seemed to burn in the sky.

"Master, do you think highly of him?" Lin Xintong asked. After Yi Yun had finished making his salt-baked chicken, she had sparred with Yi Yun for a short while. But the strange feeling that happened to her dried up meridians did not occur again, disappointing her.

It was likely just an illusion.

Old Man Su shook his head and said, "I don't think highly of him, I just appreciate him."

"His perceptivity shocked me and he had good luck, but…I can't think of any way to fix his weakness of having a poor constitution. If he wants to cultivate to a higher realm, he would need massive amounts of resources. It will be too hard!"

In this world, there were many who aspired to be a warrior. There were as many as the sand grains of the five Ganges Rivers, but how many of those succeeded?

"Perhaps, this world will have a miracle…" Lin Xintong mumbled to herself. It seemed like she was referring to Yi Yun, but she also seemed to be referring to herself.

Old Man Su was stunned when he heard that but he remained silent.

Yes, a miracle…

He was a Desolate Heaven Master and he was extremely demanding about taking in disciples. He wanted them to have excellent constitutions and with exceeding talent in the Desolate Heaven technique. It was too difficult. He had searched for hundreds of years, and had seen uncountable numbers of offspring from the big family clans before accepting Lin Xintong as his disciple.

Although he was extremely satisfied with his disciple, she was cursed with Yin Meridians, wasting the potential of her excellent constitution which she had for practicing martial arts.

It was such a ridicule.

"Let's go…We may never meet him again. We won't stay long in the Tai Ah Divine Kingdom. When we leave the Tai Ah Divine Kingdom, this kid might not even have stepped out of the Cloud Wilderness. Even if he does step out of the Cloud Wilderness, it would be hard for him to step out of the Tai Ah Divine Kingdom in his entire life. The Tai Ah Divine Kingdom is too big."

Old Man Su felt a sense of regret. The kid had high aspirations, but he was born in the wrong place and lacked the needed constitution for practicing martial arts. It was depressing.

"Never meet again?" Lin Xintong went into a trance as she remembered the weird feeling she had when she exchanged blows with Yi Yun for the first time. Her dried up meridians did seem like they had been activated.

However, the events that followed proved that there was a 99% chance that it was just an illusion, but Lin Xintong was not willing to give up even a tiny bit of hope. Maybe her master would be able to give some explanation?

"Master, I have something I need to tell you…" Lin Xintong suddenly blurted out.

"Oh? What's the matter?" Old Man Su said with a solemn expression as he slowed down his footsteps.

Lin Xintong described her encounter in great detail. Hearing her words, Old Man Su was surprised, the dried up meridians were activated? What could be the reason?

He couldn't help but stroke his beard as he went into deep thought.

Old Man Su had spent the past few years researching Yin Meridians in a bid to cure it, but he had failed time and time again. But because of his research, few could match Old Man Su's understanding of Yin Meridians.

Yin Meridians were terminated Meridians, and they unable to hold any energy, just as a dry well cannot produce water. But from what Lin Xintong had just said, she had a mild energy flow within her meridians when sparring with Yi Yun!

Even if it was an illusion of Lin Xintong, Old Man Su took it seriously.

"Let's go to the Tao tribal clan first. I have already made an appointment with the Jing Long Wei's division leader and I had asked him to gather intelligence about the Purple Clouds' Birth. After I receive the information, we can discuss this in detail!"

Old Man Su's main reason for his coming to the Cloud Wilderness was for the Purple Clouds' Birth. He wanted to know if there was any treasure that had sprouted in the Cloud Wilderness, and if he could defy fate by joining up Lin Xintong's terminated meridians!

As for Yi Yun, it could have been an illusion that Lin Xintong had experienced. As such Old Man Su was not hopeful about it, but he would rather not pass up any chances, so he planned to investigate the matter.

True Martial World - Chapter 54: Unwilling to stay Ordinary

True Martial World
Seeing the head, Yi Yun suddenly constricted his pupils.

This head was covered with red scales. It was unknown how such beautiful scales were blackened.

Its head had three horns, sharp as a sword. It had sharp canine teeth and two long and thin feelers. It didn't look hideous and it even seemed to possess some dignity.

Although it was already dead, its two green eyes still seemed to possess a cold killing intent that emitted a chilling feeling.

"This is…"

Yi Yun did not know why for besides the killing intent he felt coming from the eyes of a dead fierce beast, he also felt a faint sense of disgruntledness.

"Its called a Chi Lin beast!" came a faint voice. It was not the fat elder but Lin Xintong’s voice.

To Yi Yun, Lin Xintong's voice was soft and gentle like a pearlbush flower.

Yi Yun was slightly stunned as he took a look at Lin Xintong. Ever since he had met them, Lin Xintong had been extremely quiet except when they sparred. She had never cut into his conversation with the old man.

Lin Xintong said, "Chi Lin beast is a desolate beast. Although its desolate bone quality is not low, a Chi Lin beast's strength is quite weak among other desolate beasts. Chi Lin beasts are special. A small number of them would suddenly die at the prime of their life."

"Oh?" Yi Yun dazed a moment. Suicide?

Lin Xintong carried on, "Rumor says that Chi Lin beasts have the blood of the Fire Qilin. If they light up their body's meridians, they can transform into a real Fire Qilin amidst the fire."

"But the current Chi Lin beasts are progeny that are countless generations apart from a Fire Qilin. Even if they really had the bloodline of the ancient Fire Qilin, they would be extremely rare. So most normal Chi Lin beasts would just lead a normal life for a few hundred years before they die of age."

"However…some Chi Lin beasts do not share similar thoughts. From the moment they were born, they would search and swallow all sorts of fire elemental items. They would even swallow fire and gather a large amount of fire energy within their body till their bodies reach their limits. They would then explode into a Chi Lin inferno!"

"These Chi Lin beasts would then undergo the baptism of fire. In that fire, they will search for their ancestor's Fire Qilin’s bloodline." noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

"But…they only have one outcome, and that is to burn to their deaths, without any exception…"

"Sometimes I guess that they probably know it clearly that it is impossible to awaken their ancestor's bloodline within themselves. But they would still not hesitate to do so, because although they can live their lives peacefully for hundreds of years, they would rather ignite a Chi Lin inferno within themselves at their prime and die in the fire."

Lin Xintong's voice grew faint. The Chi Lin beast was a desolate beast she had known since a long time ago.

She felt like a Chi Lin beast. Having been born with Yin Meridians, she was unable to break her curse. To be able to connect her broken meridians, she had to be like the Chi Lin beasts who aimed to awaken their ancient Fire Qilin bloodline.

It was as hard as ascending to heaven, and it was equivalent to bringing destruction on herself.

Was she to choose the life of a normal Chi Lin beast, and live an ordinary life for hundreds of years before dying, or to choose to be the brave ones among the Chi Lin beasts, to attempt at breaking the confines of their destiny, without worrying about sacrificing their lives?

Actually Lin Xintong had already made up her mind in her heart…

Hearing Lin Xintong's words, Yi Yun was silent.

Born to search for flames and choosing the fire elemental items that were the hottest. Using them as food till they burned their bodies, and eventually dying within the flames.

Even if they knew they had no chance of transforming into a Fire Qilin, they were willing to chase this shiny dream at the expense of their lives.

Because they were not willing to live amongst the weak. It could be summarized with a phrase that is: “Unwilling to stay ordinary! “

Yes, unwilling to stay ordinary. Yi Yun too was unwilling to stay ordinary. But he did not know that the gentle and frail Lin Xintong in front of him shared similar thoughts.

"Senior, are you using the Chi Lin beast to encourage the younger generation, or are you cautioning the younger generation against being overconfident to the point of burning one's own fingers?" asked Yi Yun suddenly.

The fat elder grunted in reply, "You think too much. What's the point of encouraging you with your constitution? I can at most tell you not to be overconfident. In this world, there are plenty who practice martial arts. Many have brought destruction on themselves. In order to obtain more resources they have gone out into the wilderness by themselves without knowing themselves, and eventually, they end up in the stomachs of wild beasts!"

Although the fat elder had a vile tongue, his words had sincere advice within. Yi Yun humbly said, "I've been educated."

"Well…" Seeing Yi Yun's attitude, the fat elder was very satisfied. "The book Xintong left you is too good for you. Read it well. Although you have a poor constitution in my opinion, your perceptivity still meets the mark. As for your 'Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist', it's so-so. Read Xintong's book, and your strength should improve."

Although the fat elder's words hinted at a deliberate disparagement of Yi Yun, Yi Yun could tell that they were words of encouragement, so he humbly accepted the advice.

"Sigh, what a pity." The fat elder shook his head and changed the subject. "Oh, kid you may not know, but if you were to sell this book in an ancient clan, and say that it has notes made by Xintong, I have no idea how many young masters will be willing to make a high bid for it. To these young masters, Xintong is…"

"Master!"

Lin Xintong grumpily interrupted the fat elder. For a particular reason, she was indeed the pursuit of many sons of the big families in an ancient clan. If not for her master taking her in as a disciple, she would have already been betrothed.

After all, although Lin Xintong had excellent talent, her power was limited because of her Yin Meridians, so her life span was just a few hundred years only.

A big family clan was very utilitarian. Everything was done for the family's interest. Clearly betrothing her would obtain the support of another family, which further pushed the interests of the family clan.

"Forget it, forget it." said the fat elder as he waved his hand. He changed topics and said, "Hey kid. This Chi Lin beast's head is yours. Chi Lin beasts are a bit special. After it dies, the Yuan Qi within its body will slowly emanate. It could do this for ten years. So if you were to hide this head properly, you can still absorb its Yuan Qi without refining it. How much you can absorb from it will depend on yourself."

From the fat elder's point of view, Yi Yun was not capable of refining the desolate bones. Also with Yi Yun's foundation, it was unlikely he would be able to digest the Chi Lin beast's head. Letting the energy emanate out and slowly absorbing it was the best method.

Of course this method was too slow. How could the sons from huge family clans wait ten years?

"Kid, although I've already told you. I can guess that you will still want to go out into the vast wilderness to gain experience. No matter. I'll write you a protective charm. When you reach the peak of Qi Gatherer, this protective charm will be activated. It can protect your life once. If we are fated to meet again one day, and you had not used the protective charm, you can use it as a gift to me."

"Eh? Why are you looking at me in that manner?" The fat elder asked as he noticed Yi Yun's eyes filled with suspicion.

Yi Yun did not expect that the old man was offering to give him some benefit. The sun must have risen from the west.

But if he offered to give something, was it trustworthy?

True Martial World - Chapter 53: Gift of a book

True Martial World
Yi Yun struggled to stand up. He adjusted his torn clothes and said with a wry smile, "Sister Fairy, please don't ridicule me any further. It's clear I lost. The attack I produced was with all my strength, yet you returned a blow at the key moment, sending me flying. It's clear who lost."

Yi Yun was convinced of his defeat, but the girl shook her head saying, "My level is much higher than yours, so it's totally unfair to battle against you, even if I suppress it. I had originally agreed to use 'Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist' to spar with you, but I was forced to use my 'Fairy Maiden Heart Sutra' by you at the last moment."

Lin Xintong was an honest person. Having agreed on using 'Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist', she had violated the rules by using another attack, so she had naturally lost.

She also did not explain to Yi Yun why she had lost her concentration during the battle.

When she had crossed fists with Yi Yun for the first time, she had felt a strange energy stay within her body and the energy had even seeped into her broken Yin Meridians. However, she did not feel it when they exchanges blows for the second time.

Lin Xintong was also unsure if it was just an illusion.

If not for losing concentration after the first crossing, she would not have been forced by Yi Yun to use her "Fairy Maiden Heart Sutra"

Upon hearing Lin Xintong's words, Yi Yun was surprised. This girl was indeed special. Any expert like her would be a proud daughter of heaven, and would have never admitted to losing to a kid from the vast wilderness. It was after all something hard for such proud people to accept.  noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

But this girl had admitted that she had lost, even though she had not lost from his point of view.

He turned his head and looked at the fat elder. Yet he saw the fat elder pulling at his beard with a horrible expression.

“What are you looking at?" The fat elder saw Yi Yun looking over and was pissed. He was shocked for how could a plebeian from the Cloud Wilderness be so powerful?

To have such power in the Meridians realm, he would not even be considered weak among the elites of a large family clan.

He had clearly learned "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist" secretly, yet he could display Tendons like Bowstrings, Thunderous Bones. It was practically the same as having mastered the essence of 'Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist', not "a thing or two".

What the hell is this? The fat elder had originally said that Yi Yun will be defeated within ten seconds. But till the end, not only had the time passed, even Lin Xintong had admitted defeat!

No way we're losing, we clearly won, alright!

The fat elder was extremely upset. Was his estimations wrong? This kid had only an average body constitution, and had used some treasure to reach the state of Tempered Body. How could he cultivate a technique to such a level?

Maybe he had excellent perception?

In practicing cultivation techniques, besides a person's constitution, one had to have perceptivity.

The importance of perceptivity was just second to constitution. A person with poor perception would learn everything slowly, so even if they had a good constitution, they were destined never to reach a higher realm since there were plenty of things in the martial world that could only be understood, not taught, especially for bottlenecks which could only be overcome by oneself.

In terms of perceptivity, Yi Yun was indeed not bad. On Earth, Yi Yun was good at his studies and had developed intelligence at an early age. Hence, the poor kids of the vast wilderness could not be compared to him.

In addition to him having crossed into this strange world, making Yi Yun experience two lives, all of this made his soul even stronger.

And with the Purple Crystal in his heart, that coolness was providing energy to his soul, and nourishing Yi Yun's spirit continuously.

When he cultivated "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist", he had added some of his own understanding unique to him, creating a situation of necessary success with the ripe conditions.

Seeing the old man's face wrinkled like a peach seed, Yi Yun could not help himself from laughing, but he did not dare to express it on his face, or the old man might explode.

"This is for you!"

Lin Xintong grabbed something from her interspatial wristband and threw an azure light towards Yi Yun.

Yi Yun caught it and realized that it was a book.

The azure book's cover was made of golden silk. Its paper quality was great, and it was well made, making it great to the touch.

On the book cover wrote five words: "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist"!

The five words were written with flair, making it look imposing.

This was the manual to "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist"!

Yi Yun was happy. He had been secretly learning "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist", but as the fat elder said, there had to be holes in the process of secretly learning techniques. Besides, the members of the warrior preparation camp had poor perceptivity, so Yao Yuan had not taught everything about "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist", and he had only taught them the first nine moves. For the remaining moves, Yi Yun did not know a thing.

So Lin Xintong giving him this manual was especially timely!

Yi Yun could not stop touching the azure-colored book. He found that the book possessed a faint fragrance, making it very seductive.

"Eh?"

Yi Yun curiously flipped the manual and realized that the manual consisted of pictures of people in various poses. Beside it was the mantras with notes by the side.

The notes were written with another color, and the font was small. The handwriting was very beautiful and had a mysterious smell associated with it. It was most likely the girl's handwriting.

These notes were clearly added on later and belonged to the owner of the manual.

Yi Yun was shocked, this had to be Lin Xintong's handwriting.

With Lin Xintong's level of training and her understanding of martial arts, her notes for "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist" would be extraordinary. If he could read it from cover to cover, it would give him great inspiration.

This was the insight Lin Xintong had obtained. And according to her, she had been reading this manual seriously for about half a year.

She had to be carrying this manual close to her all the time.

Yi Yun suddenly realized the value of the book. Although "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist" had been made public by the Tai Ah Divine Kingdom, the book was not valuable, but with Lin Xintong's notes, it was no longer the same.

"Sister Fairy, this book is too valuable. I can't have it. These notes are insights from your own understanding…"

"It's nothing, I already have all my notes memorized. I have read this 'Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist' from cover to cover so it’s no longer useful to me. With it, you might be able to get some inspiration."

"This…" Yi Yun accepted the book upon seeing Lin Xintong's insistence. He had really wanted it. It wouldn't only be some inspiration, but a lifesaver. With this book, he could master the entire set of "Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist".

As Yi Yun felt guilty accepting the book, the fat elder made an ill-timed comment. "Bah, if you want it, just say so. Stop acting."

Yi Yun choked upon hearing that. This old man was really sarcastic with his words. This had to be a form of revenge. The fat elder and his disciple Lin Xintong had characters that were opposite extremes. It was unknown how they had managed to get along so well.

"Alright, stop looking at me. You have proven your strength. I would accept that you know 'a thing or two' about the Dragon Rib Tiger Bone Fist," said the old man as he stroked his beard. It was an affirmation of Yi Yun's strength.

"Previously, I said that if you could last ten seconds, I would give you a miracle medicine. I'm a person who doesn't go back on his promises…" saying that the old man touched his ring and took out something. It was neither a desolate bone or desolate bone relic, but a black charred head!
