Limitless - Chapter 40: Golden Necklace

The ship travelled quickly and transported Chu Yu back to the river within a few hours.

In the moment it transited from the open sea to the river, Chu Yu felt like he had penetrated the space-time continuum.

Chu Yu felt an inexplicable connection to the river when he saw it.

As he looked out, a mesh of energy continued to float on the river surface.

Yet, the power gave way to the ship.

Finally, the ship stopped by the river bank.

It stopped on the side of the palace.

Chu Yu looked at the palace, slightly exasperated and said, "Brother boat, can I make a deal with you? How about you drop me off on the other coast?"

The ship did not make a sound, nor did it move.

Chu Yu was also speechless, he was not so arrogant to think that he was the best in the world.

Of the five people who had entered the palace, the three Han Xiao Invigorated Meridian realm experts as well as the two Jiu Xiao ones, especially Liu Qing, could easily overpower Chu Yu.

Even Qi Heng, if he wasn’t injured, would overwhelm for Chu Yu.

Was the ship trying to find trouble for him by sending him here? Chu Yu did not think that Qi Heng would show him mercy if he met him.

What now?

Why not just stubbornly stay on the ship and not disembark? After all... there was no shamelessness when dealing with a ship

Just as he thought about it, a strong wave of force was emitted from the ship and directed at Chu Yu!

Chu Yu felt as if someone had kicked him in his butt, and he was kicked off the ship.

"F*ck!" Chu Yu turned to raise his middle finger at the ship, only to find that the ship had disappeared. He was completely speechless and his expression had elements of depression.

Chu Yu stood on the river bank, pondering for a moment before sighing. His mouth twitched and he murmured impatiently, "I guess this is the only way."

Afterwhich, his appearance began to change!

Chu Yu was extremely talented in cultivation. As such, even though he had not spent much time learning the technique to change his appearance, he had relatively good control over it.

The secret to changing one’s appearance lay in a unique method of utilising one’s internal energy to change the arrangement of one’s muscles and bones.

Of course, it was more than just this, one had to imitate the other’s posture, disposition, aura, even voice, as well as many other intricate details.

All of these were difficult to master, and required strong talent and above average powers of observation.

Else, even if the appearance changed, no matter how much it changed, you will still be yourself. As long as others are meticulous enough, they will not be fooled.

Chu Yu did not dare say that he imitate someone perfectly, as such, he tried his best to take on the body of a stranger.

However, he could not do so this time.

This was an ancient ruin!

In such a place, everyone who was not a friendly was the enemy, there was no other option.

Furthermore, if given the chance, Chu Yu wanted to sneak in an attack on Qi Heng.

As such, Chu Yu prepared to morph into someone in their midst. However, he could not choose Liu Qing from Jiu Xiao. He and Qi Heng were brothers in arms, and would definitely know quite a lot about each other.

It could be the case that even a tiny movement could cause the entire ruse to fall through.

Chu Yu decided to morph into someone from the Han Xiao side.

But who?

Chu Yu thought about it before making a decision. He was going to be Xiao Zhangqing.

This was for Xiao Zhangqing’s choice to side with Qi Heng against his own junior. Since he was going to find someone to bury, Xiao Zhangqing was a good choice.

Chu Yu was rather vengeful.

In a moment, Xiao Zhangqing’s face appeared on CHu Yu. Following which, Xiao Zhangqing’s unique aura was also imitated by Chu Yu.

Right now, even if Xiao Zhangqing stood here, he would also be confused, wondering when he had a twin brother.

The only flaw is that Chu Yu’s cultivation level was far lower than that of Xiao Zhangqing’s.

However, with things such as cultivation level, not everybody can release strong energy fluxes on command. Furthermore, Chu Yu could block the scrutinizing vision of others. For short interactions, he could still cover it up.

Chu Yu guessed that the five of them would have separated, as long as he wasn’t so unlucky as to meet Xiao Zhangqing, there should be no problem.

Afterwhich, Chu Yu swaggered in the direction of the palace.

When he neared, Chu Yu used his vertical eye to observe the palace. He found that the palace also contained many magical formations.

Furthermore, one could not sense the presence of the magical formations until one was close enough.

"This is good."

Chu Yu was ecstatic, his vertical eye would be put to good use in such a situation.

After he entered the magical formation, he realized that the situation here and what he saw outside had slight differences.

From the mountain top, he could see the entire palace clearly, including the highest tower.

Even when he reached the river, he could still see the entire palace clearly.

However, upon entering the palace, it seemed that the entire layout had changed.

Chu Yu had wanted to get to the high ground, but found that there was a spider web like mesh of strong energy just above his head. This energy was more terrifying than the one found on the river!

He could not see it from the outside!

If he was careless and jumped, he would have been killed instantly!

"How vicious!" Chu Yu exclaimed.

He tried to open some of the doors to the palace, yet he found that all of them were protected by a large amount of inscriptions.

Some of the doors to the palace were engraved with more complicated inscriptions, when one neared them, you could feel the aura of danger emanating from it.

It had a repulsive aura.

He searched the entire area, but could not find a single palace that he could enter.

This caused Chu Yu to be extremely disappointed. He had initially thought that he had stumbled upon an intact ancient ruin, and could get a large amount of treasure.

He realized now that it was merely a fantasy.

Even though he had already become a disciple of Confucius in the whirlpool and gotten the Superclass, to be greedy was part of human nature. As such, if he could possibly gain more, why would he say no?

As Chu Yu walked, he suddenly heard a beastly sound. The sound was crisp, almost like thunder, and was rather startling.

Chu Yu was shocked, and his eyes were dull.

"There was life here?"

What a rare find!

This was really a terrifying thought. An ancient ruin that had been left untouched for aeons actually had living things within?

Chu Yu walked towards the direction of the sound. Even though he was anxious, his curiosity got the better of him.

He wasn’t far from the point of origin of the sound.

He avoided the killing zones in the magical formation and quickly closed in on the location.

There was a silhouette over there, and it was sprinting towards Chu Yu. However, Chu Yu was inside the magical formation and thus was invisible to the sprinting figure.

However, Chu Yu had kept his vertical eye open the whole time. As such, he saw who that person was immediately. His heart leapt at the coincidence.

The person running frantically towards him was no stranger, it was Qi Heng!

He had so many secret treasures on him, so even though he could not see through the entire magical formation, he could easily avoid all the dangerous zones.

There were only the few paths leading through the magical formation, so when Qi Heng ran towards Chu Yu, Chu Yu could avoid him. However, he was currently Xiao Zhangqing from Han Xiao, furthermore, he wanted to know what had happened there.

As such, he continued in walking in the direction of Qi Heng.

Qi Heng thought himself extremely unlucky. Chu Yu was not seeing things, he was carrying a magical item that could be classified as a secret treasure.

However, he did not take it out previously as he was saving it for this final stage, to reap maximum benefits for himself.

After entering the group of palaces, and activating this magical item, the journey had been very smooth sailing for him.

However, he met with the same situation as Chu Yu. The tens of thousands of palaces here were inaccessible. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Qi Heng had fumbled around and ended up in a parade square. He found a pond in the middle of the square and there was a strong spiritual energy emanating from it.

Qi Heng was almost certain that this was no ordinary pond, this was the spirit pond from the legends!

When there was sufficient saturation of spiritual energy, it would congeal into a liquid. With enough spiritual liquid, it would form a spiritual pond.

It was said that there were also spiritual lakes and spiritual oceans.

Cultivators only needed to drink spiritual fluid from the spiritual lake daily in order to advance at breakneck speeds, even without much effort.

As a result, such places were inhabited by saints, commoners rarely got close.

What was unexpected was that in this well preserved ancient sect, there was a spiritual pond!

This was a complete surprise!

What caused Qi Heng even more awe and excitement was that there was a golden water lily in the middle of the pond!

The leaves of the water lily were golden and they sparkled in the light.

In the middle of the water lily were a large number of golden lotuses!

Upon closer inspection, one could smell whiffs of medicinal scent.

For any normal lotus, Qi Heng would not lose his composure. Yet, these golden lotuses, according to legends, were the superior medicine of choice for many ancient sects.

The lotus could not only heal people on the brink of death, but could also rapidly increase a person’s power, letting them break through in a short period of time.

Even in the golden ages 60 million years ago, such golden lotuses were considered a superior medicine.

Even though the spiritual fluid was extremely valuable, it was a class lower when compared to the golden lotus!

"Golden lotus... golden lotus ah! It is the golden lotus that the legends speak of! Hahahahaha, golden lotus... I love you!"

Qi Heng was born rather late, and he did not like to read, as such he could only express his excitement this way.

However, anyone who could recognize a golden lotus would find it difficult to keep their composure.

However, just as Qi Heng was preparing to leap towards it, a ferocious beast appeared from the false hill behind the spiritual pond, its scary aura almost squashing Qi Heng to death instantly.

It shrieked, its voice like thunder, and it caused Qi Heng’s ears to ring, nearly causing his eardrums to rupture!

Qi Heng’s face darkened and he escaped immediately.

Luckily, the ferocious beast did not give chase.

However, Qi Heng was extremely depressed, as if he had been trampled over by ten thousand beasts.

When he looked up, he saw Xiao Zhangqing.

Limitless - Chapter 39: Lin Shimeng’s Luck

The ship rode the waves and sailed in the open sea.

Chu Yu sat on the deck, holding the ancient Superclass, feeling increasingly intoxicated by it.

According to the Superclass, Acupoint Charging and Invigorating Meridian were realms known as - Foundation!

Skyscrapers are built on solid foundations, only by having a good foundation would a cultivator be able to push to the higher levels stably.

According to Chu Yu’s understanding of cultivation, once one broke open 365 of the vital acupoints, one would be at the highest level of Acupoint Charging, once on broke through all 12 vital meridians, one would be at the highest level of the Invigorated Meridian realm.

Afterwhich, one entered the Xiantian stages and became a real cultivator in the search for immortality.

Only now did Chu Yu understand, according to the old methods, whilst one could still enter the Xiantian stages, the foundation would not be stable.

Even though one would be a cultivator, one’s potential advancement would be greatly limited.

As for the path to immortality... that would be completely impossible.

Woosh!

Chu Yu looked over the cultivation techniques at the end Superclass quietly, realizing that they were similar to those that he learnt before. He felt that this Superclass was increasingly deep and difficult to comprehend.

This could be the most superior martial technique for training one’s foundation!

After he had become Confucius's disciple inside the ancient palace, he had been sent aboard the ship. Afterwhich, the ship soared into the sky, out of the whirlpool and sailed back in the direction where it came from.

Even though he did not manage to explore the huge ancient palace, Chu Yu did not have many regrets.

A cultivator’s own body was the most essential. Even though magical equipment were nice, they were still worldly possessions.

For example, the ancient bronze dagger in Qi Heng’s possession was a Xiantian magical equipment with great powers. Yet, in the hands of Qi Heng, it was lost so easily.

If Qi Heng was strong enough, how could Chu Yu have gotten his hand on it?

Chu Yu’s eyes sparkled, he thought to himself, if a tiger was outfitted with wings, it would make the tiger incredibly formidable.

If wings were fitted on a pig however, it would just be a flying pig.

The same set of wings can achieve vastly different results depending on who’s wielding it!

As such, it was imperative to be very strong on one’s own!

"I wonder how is Shishi, what kind of opportunity did she get?"

Chu Yu murmured to himself, finding himself missing Lin Shimeng

The two of them were childhood friends, and he did not know if such infatuation was considered love, but he just wanted to be with her.

He believed Lin Shimeng felt the same way too.

Even if the two of them do not know what love is, they knew they needed each other and would make sacrifices for each other.

"I hope that Shishi can meet with good luck this time and change her fate." Chu Yu stood up on the deck.

The ship rode the waves and Chu Yu stood on the bow, his eyes looking towards the horizon, full of determination.

"If you can’t get enough luck to change your fate, I will send you good fortune!"

Chu Yu had made up his mind to help her solve her problem no matter what.

This was because he had in his possession a real piece of treasure, the Superclass, one that everyone would be envious of.

Chu Yu did not know how far he could advance just based on this Superclass, but he knew that he could change countless lives with it!

Enter my sect. Learn my ways. Pass my dao. Expand my ideas.

Isn’t this what Confucius, his saint teacher... wanted him to do?

...

Lin Shimeng looked at the ancient temple in front of her eyes with awe.

The ship had brought her here, in the midst of an endless wilderness was this huge temple!

The temple was made from limestone and stood hundreds of meters tall.

Every block of limestone had ancient inscriptions on it.

It seemed like some form of language which bared some resemblance to traditional chinese, but Lin Shimeng could not recognize any of it.

The inscriptions radiated some energy fluctuations, almost as if it was protecting the temple’s immortality.

Soon after, the five colored walkway extended from the ship to the temple entrance.

Lin Shimeng did not hesitate and bounded along this rainbow colored walkway towards the ancient temple.

When she neared, the ancient temple opened silently.

Lin Shimeng entered, and the entire temple only contained a statue of Buddha at the end. In front of the statue of Buddha was a squeaky clean table.

On the table was a suet colored jade vase, with a willow branch inside it.

What shocked Lin Shimeng further was that the willow branch was extremely green!

The leaves on the branch were like jade, sparkling in the light!

"My gosh..." Lin Shimeng was in awe, and she couldn’t help but squeal.

Lin Shimeng did not know how long the temple had existed here, but from the ancient, never before seen inscriptions, Lin Shimeng surmised that it came from an era... extremely long ago.

Even from the viewpoint of a commoner, the temple was at least... thousands of years old!

If we put all the factors together, the temple could be tens of thousands of years old... or even older!

This was because this place was clearly an ancient land for cultivation.

Anything that could be termed an ancient cultivation land must be 60 million years or older.

After the world was sealed, there were no more ancient cultivation lands, all that was left were ruins.

Yet, this willow branch inside the suet colored jade vase was able to maintain its vigor!

What was considered a miracle? This was probably it!

Lin Shimeng cautiously sized up the statue of Buddha in front of her, it seemed like it was carved out of limestone, its expression was compassionate, full of Buddha-nature.

An invisible aura was emitted from the statue.

Lin Shimeng approached the table, there was a squeaky clean grey cushion just in front of it.

She knelt down and bowed to the statue, "I am Lin Shimeng, I have been led here by fate, please guide me along mighty Buddha!"

"Enter my sect. Learn my ways. Pass my dao. Expand my ideas."

As Lin Shimeng bowed, a grand magical voice boomed from within the ancient temple.

The voice was filled with the power of compassion, capable of calming an individual instantly.

Lin Shimeng was stunned, in that moment, a volume of ancient classics appeared on the table.

The ancient classic was made of some kind of metal, the cover was a light golden color, it was slightly dim, and looked extremely dated. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Lin Shimeng’s exquisite face broke out in a surprised smile. She warmed herself up and reached for it.

At this point, a gentle voice rung out.

"Lin Shimeng!"

"Ah?" Lin Shimeng jumped in shock, a shiver running down her spine as she surveyed her surroundings in surprise.

Even though that loud magical voice had surprised Lin Shimeng, she was not scared.

The ancient sects had extremely clever tactics. They were many times stronger than whatever black technology that existed.

As such, the existence of a magical voice in this ancient temple was not particularly surprising.

However, when a gentle womanly voice calls out your name, even the bravest soul would have chills down their spine.

If the grand magical voice was a result of voice combination techniques from an electronic device, this gentle womanly voice came from an actual person!

"Who’s out there?"

Lin Shimeng asked icily, even though she was clearly anxious.

"Lin Shimeng, your essentials are of the Yin Fantasy, which is a great fit for us. As such, we have brought you here. However, I sense that you have feelings for someone back home. You should know, if you join us, you will be removed from the common dimension, and you must be free from human desires and passions. You cannot be contaminated by love from the common dimension. Can you do it?"

The voice was gentle, and one could tell from the voice that the person speaking was a gentle girl.

She was like a senior, full of compassion and understanding.

Lin Shimeng’s anxiety lessened, although she frowned when she heard what the lady had to say.

She asked, "Why must I break off with the person I like? Why must I break free from human desires and passions? Must I stay forever alone in my pursuit for immortality? If this is the case, I... would rather not?"

The gentle voice broke out in light laughter, "It’s not what you think. Asking you to break off from the communal dimension is not asking you to become unfeeling. It’s just that the techniques I teach here can only be used by the pure and noble."

"And who are you? Can I see you in person?" Lin Shimeng could not control her curiosity.

"Me? I am just a notion." The gentle voice caressed. Afterwhich, a ray of light shone in front of Lin Shimeng, forming the silhouette of a lady, floating in mid air in front of the statue of Buddha.

"A notion..." Lin Shimeng was shocked.

What sort of notion could survive tens of thousands of years?

If the notion was so strong, how influential is the actual person?梦

"Have you made a decision?" The blurry silhouette asked, her soft gaze resting on Lin Shimeng.

"I... I have, I am going to reject it!" Lin Shimeng hesitated, but managed to muster up enough courage.

"Why would you reject it? A relationship is tiny, benevolence is limitless." The hologram of the lady reasoned. "The path to immortality is meant to be lonely, the commoners return to the ground after a hundred years. In the long journey of cultivation, only technique is eternal."

"Please... please don’t say anymore." Lin Shimeng rejected the idea, "If that is the final goal of cultivation, and that is all, then I rather stop cultivating."

"How about the trouble you’re facing, can you fix it?" The hologram of the lady asked softly.

Lin Shimeng felt a chill, she looked at the hologram of the lady, "Who are you? How do you know all these?"

"I am just a notion, your cultivation level is too low, and I can easily sense your emotions, based on calculations, I can easily find out about your situation. However, it is of little interest to me."

The hologram of the lady spoke in a soft and calming manner.

Lin Shimeng calmed down and explained, "I can differentiate clearly between my love and hate, there are some things that are scarier to me than death. Some may laugh at me and call me stupid, but that is my stand, and I will not waver."

She looked determinedly at the hologram, "As such, if the price for cultivation is to give up my emotions, then, I will definitely reject it!"

Lin Shimeng thought about it before saying, "maybe it’s because I don’t have such a big heart or view of the world. To me, if I have to give up my personal emotions, how can I talk about benevolence? Furthermore, why is it that just because I have someone that I like, I am not pure?"

"Maybe you’re right, else..." The hologram appeared to be deep in thought before smiling, "You should try, can you open this manual? If you can open it, this manual is yours."

Lin Shimeng jerked, she did not expect to still have a chance after what had transpired.

"Previously... there has been no such incident, but... what should have disappeared, had disappeared. As such, I would like to see what will happen." The hologram laughed, "If I were here, I would probably not agree to this. But I’m not me, so I shall give it a go."

Lin Shimeng reached out and touched the ancient manual on the table. It was cold to the touch, following which, she picked it up.

The hologram was slightly stunned, after a long pause, she laughed bitterly, "I see that even with infatuation, one can still be pure. Since that is the case, the theory is quite simple. I understand that now, but I wonder if the real me... will understand too?"

Limitless - Chapter 38: The Saint Teacher

Chu Yu stared blankly at the ancient book in front of him.

Was this some supreme, almighty manual?

The whole thing just left him puzzled.

And… Did this mean that he was being taken in as an apprentice?

Was this really Sage Confucius?

Chu Yu looked back up at the statue behind the table.

He did not attempt to use his vertical eye to examine it. Because during this period, he had already discovered, it might be due to his limited cultivation, but his vertical eye was not omnipotent.

Moreover, he did not dare commit any acts of blasphemy on this statue in front of him!

It was of a saint teacher ah!

There was no need to know what was Confucius’s status and power in the cultivation world. Over 2000 years ago in China, he took in countless of disciples and educated tens of thousands of citizens. His Confucian school of thought laid the foundation for later societies, leading to his eternal canonization as a saint.

Just merely one of his accolades was enough to earn him the respects of countless people!

Thus, Chu Yu’s heart was filled with reverence towards this senior sage.

However, from his visual observation, Chu Yu found that this statue seemed different from the statues of Confucius he saw before.

Those statues did not exude any immortal energy, and almost all of them painted a caring image of Confucius.

However, not only did this statue ripple with immortal energy, it also brimmed with heroic spirit!

By heroic spirit, it was referring to heroic mettle!

Hero!

This reminded Chu Yu of a Confucian belief which was previous emasculated!

Perhaps one of his most famous words were "Requite evil with good".

However, this was a complete distortion of Confucius’s intentions, lying to countless of people for over 2000 years.

Confucius said: Requite evil with good, then what do we requite good with? Requite injustice with justice; requite good with good.

What did "Requite evil with good" mean? If someone stepped you on your foot, would you look at him with a sweet expression and say that you weren’t angry? Would you offer him to have a kick at your foot next?

What were they trying to pull with this?

This was the scheme by those monarchs who tried to maintain their self interests 2000 years ago. They removed the essence behind Confucius’s words, causing them to lose its original meaning.

This was a mere thing used to fool the citizens!

It was only till recent times when thinking had become more broad. The citizens were no longer foolish, and when they revisted Confucius’s text, they finally understood Confucius’s original meaning.

But these emasculated idea had been passed down for more than a thousand years, so it still lingers on to this date.

Chu Yu did not like it.

Ever since Chu Yu was young, he had wished for the guidance of a master teacher.

From 60 million years ago to now, there were too many fractures in the transfer of knowledge and culture.

Even though the Chu Clan was an underworld clan, and even if those clan members in separate pocket dimensions were counted, there weren't any supreme experts in the Chu Clan.

He could still find advice during the foundational stages of cultivation, but to discuss about higher levels… There was no point thinking about it.

Moreover, while there was quite a number of books in the Chu Clan's Hidden Library, the truly useful ones were few.

In the former years, the Chu Clan Ancestor hastily left Earth and entered into a separate pocket dimension. However, he bring with him many useful manuals.

And as time passed, many legacies and countless treasures were buried in the grand passage of time.

So, even though the poles had currently reversed, resulting in the revitalisation of spiritual energy, it was difficult to reform the great and grand world of cultivation which existed 60 million years ago. Clearly… It required much more time.

The cultivators of today, could somewhat be considered the first generation of trailblazers!

What they needed to learn, to do, to regain… was truly too much!

Not just the Chu Clan, but most of the underworld clans were roughly facing the same situation.

In a commoner's eye, they were high and mighty people who stayed in pocket dimensions, just like gods and immortals.

In reality, they were on their last legs, barely maintaining themselves as they degrade progressively. Each generation was worse than the last.

In the years without revitalised spiritual energy, they lived arduously. Compared to commoners, they merely had slightly better medicine and some cultivation legacies.

Over these 60 million years, the underworld clans, or even ancient sects and schools, which naturally died out…. were like carp in a river; too many to count!

That's why, if this statue was really of the respected sage who changed the world over 2000 years ago, and if he really was a supreme, mighty existence, then being able to accept him as a master was simply a dream come true for Chu Yu!

"Mr really wants to accept me as a disciple?"

Chu Yu's heart surged with emotions as he rushed to bow towards the statue.

Huala!

The ancient book on the table soundless flipped itself to the first page.

There, lied two seal characters in the ancient Chinese language - Superclass.

Chu Yu was slightly doubtful, his brows slightly twitched as he wondered about the meaning behind "Superclass".

Cultivation Superclass?

This name… was a little too huge right?

He slowly stepped forward, wanting to flip through this ancient book and see the content behind.

In the hall, the majestic voice resounded once more.

"Enter my sect. Learn my ways. Pass my dao. Expand my ideas."

Chu Yu frowned, but he still continued to extend his hand forward to try and flip the book. After which, his hand directly passed through the book, slapping down on the cold table surface below.

"..." Chu Yu was speechless as he looked on with disbelief; he continued to try and place his hand on the ancient book. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Slap! Pa! Slap…

Yes, they all landed on the cold and hard surface of the table.

"This is… fake?"

Chu Yu murmured to himself.

Thereafter, the ancient book flipped to the next page.

Similarly written in seal characters: Cultivation is vast and boundless. Within the human body, conceals an entire cosmos. Cultivating oneself, is thus, the path of cultivation. The human body has 365 true acupoints and 12 true meridians. There are also 8 extraordinary meridians and over 1000 minor acupoints. To cultivate to the higher level, requires one to open all the acupuncture points, meridians...

The ancient book wasn't very thick; it looked to only have 10 over pages. But each page contained many words, all with small seal characters.

This page primarily illustrated some ideas with regards to cultivation.

Even though it didn't go into the specifics on how to cultivate, Chu Yu was bedazzled, as though he was looking at a treasure!

Because the introductory knowledge described on this page had never been seen by Chu Yu before!

According to this Superclass book, only opening 365 true acupoints could not be considered to be the Great Circle of Acupoint Charging.

It could only be considered a Small Circle!

By only opening 365 acupoints, one could only open the 12 true meridians.

By attaining this Small Circle, one could reach higher stages, but would forever lose the opportunity to get stronger!

According to the theory in Superclass, only through opening every single acupoints and meridians then would the human cosmos be fully ignited!

Only this could be considered the true… cultivation!

The was the illustrious fusion between Heaven and Human.

If one didn't open all the acupoints and didn't perforate all the meridians, then how could he achieve Heaven-Human fusion?

If one couldn't achieve Heaven-Human fusion, then what's the point in chasing the path to immortality?

This Superclass was the culmination of theories from countless cultivation techniques.

It was specially for the opening of all the acupoints and meridians in the body!

In the past, if anyone were to raise this sort of cultivation to Chu Yu, he would either remain sceptical, or even scoff at it.

But seeing this ancient book from the saint teacher, he had to believe it.

Chu Yu kowtowed in front of the statue, uttering in reverence, "Mighty teacher, please accept disciple's three kowtows!"

After three kowtows, the ancient book drifted slowly and landed in front of Chu Yu, just like a feather.

This time, Chu Yu extended his hand and held the ancient book in his hand.

It had become real!

A sage’s methods were truly profound and enigmatic.

Limitless - Chapter 37: Saint’s Book

What did it feel like falling through a bottomless abyss?

Chu Yu was experiencing it now!

This whirlpool was unfathomably deep, the huge ship directly descended straight into it.

It was like a high-speed elevator; but it was indefinitely faster than the world’s fastest elevator!

This sort of terrifying speed left an incredibly uncomfortable feeling in Chu Yu.

"Bloody hell..."

Chu Yu’s eyes rolled backwards as he forcefully held the ship’s handrail. His face had turned deadly pale.

Even the bravest of men would sh*t bricks when facing such a situation.

Chu Yu was even feeling a little a regret. It was said that one would encounter pleasure and surprise while exploring ancient ruins. But from his experience, he hardly experienced pleasure, but he did meet with immeasurable surprises.

The speed of the ship’s descent had already broken past the sound barrier. In merely a few minutes, the ship had already fallen by hundreds of kilometers.

But he still hadn’t reached the end.

Chu Yu felt as though ten thousand sheeps were running through his heart.

He felt a little queasy, and he even wanted to vomit!

At this instant, the ship seemed to have suddenly passed a protective screen; the entire ship violent trembled.

Then… it stopped abruptly.

This intense braking force directly sent Chu Yu soundlessly into lalaland.

After half day, Chu Yu finally inhaled a deep breath, adjusting himself and taking a look outside.

Instantly, it felt like the gloomy clouds of death had cleared and light was shining through brightly!

This huge ship was actually floating in mid air!

Chu Yu could feel intense waves of power reverberating through those inscriptions on the ship.

Not only could this ship sail across the ocean surface, it could even fly!

This sort of feeling, was truly to mystical.

Chu Yu, however, did not have the time to be mused with happiness. Because the scene in front of him had completely left him stupefied!

The ship was floating in mid air and below it, was a huge ancient city. Each side of the it was actually at least 500 kilometers long!

The architecture in this ancient city was similar to the palaces which Chu Yu saw before.

Just that the city was more magnificent!

And more elegant!

At the center of the city, there was a grand hall; it was at least 300 over meters tall!

Just the countless of steps extending from the hall was already close to 200 meters!

The towering hall stood there proudly, just like a giant overlooking the entire city.

The ancient city emitted an otherworldly ancient aura. Even though it was silent and quiet, it sent shockwaves into people’s hearts.

It was too grand!

Exactly what sect was this ah? It could actually be so huge!

Chu Yu still remembered this essay he saw when he was young called "Ah Fang Palace". It had the following description.

After the end of the Six Kings, the empire bounded by the Four Seas was unified under a single ruler; With Shu Shan stripped of its woods, the Ah Fang Palace appeared. It stretched to more than 300 li, covering the sun in the sky; From the north of Li Shan, it meandered to the westm and then made straightway for Hsien Yang.

Two rivers flowing gently coursed their way into the palace walls. Every five steps, there stood a storeyed building; Every ten steps, there stood a hall. With corridors winding like waving silk, andn the projective eaces turning high up like birds’ bills. Each of the structures possessed its vantage of ground; but they were all ingeniously interlocked together, or one set against another. Some were domed, and others were curved. The courts were like so many cells in the beehive; and of the lofty eave-drippings who can tell how many millions they were!

The long bridge is lying upon the waves; how can the dragon come without clouds? The roofed causeway is stretched in the air; how can the rainbow appear without having a clearing-up sky? Both the high and the low are shrouded in the mists, and it is hard to distinguish the east from the west. When the singing platform was re-echoed with happy songs, it was full of genial warmth of the spring; but when the dancing sleeves became cold in the dancing hall, it was chilling like wind and rain. The climate did remain the same even on the same day and in the same palace!

When Chu Yu first saw Ah Fang Palace, even though he was born from an underworld clan, he still felt that Du Mu’s words were a little exaggerated.

It stretched to more than 300 li… The climate did remain the same even on the same day and in the same palace.

How was that possible!

Now Chu Yu finally understood, there was really such a terrifyingly huge city in this world!

If he compared Ah Fang Palace to this ancient city, it was like a giant in the presence of a super giant.

It paled into insignificance!

At this moment, the ship started to sail from mid air down towards the ancient city.

Chu Yu anxiously used his vertical eye to observe the layer of power above the ancient city.

He could clearly feel that his power was more than multiple times stronger than the river surface just now!

At the instant the ship approached, Chu Yu’s heart had already found its way into his mouth.

If he said that he was not afraid, he would be lying.

Facing this sort of uncertainty, how could he not feel any wave of emotions?

Luckily, this ship was reliable. When the ship approached, that layer of power directly parted into two, forming a "path" for the ship.

After the ship passed through, the layer of power automatically closed upon itself.

Who knows how many eras this defensive formation had lived through? But it could actually still function so precisely.

Just that alone was something Chu Yu had never seen before.

The ship brought Chu Yu down from the sky, saiing in front of that big hall at the center of the city. Finally, it landed at the plaza in front of the hall.

As he overlooked the city previously, he only felt grandness and magnificence from the hall. Now that he looking up at it from below, that feeling was multiplied several times!

Just the staircase alone had a total of 999 steps!

The staircase was wide and made from bluestone; it emanated an ancient aura.

Too domineering!

Chu Yu sighed with emotion.

At this instant, a bell suddenly rang from some unknown location in the ancient city.

The ring was vigorous and long drawn, leaving a long afterwind.

The instant that bell rang, Chu Yu jumped up in fright; he stared towards all directions with a look of anxiousness.

Thereafter, the same bell rang another 8 times!

A total of 9 sounds!

The moment the bell sounded, it seemed like there was a sort of reasonance at Chu Yu’s forehead.

"It’s… welcoming a guest?" Chu Yu suddenly felt like the hairs at the back of his neck stand up.

This feeling was very weird. He arrived at an uninhabited ancient city, but a bell suddenly rang.

After the sound of the final bell completely dissapated, the gates to the grand hall in from of him soundlessly opened.

Chu Yu stood on top of the ship, opening his vertical eye, trying to discern clearly what was inside the hall.

However, there seemed to be some formless power within that hall. Chu Yu’s vertical eye… was unable to see through it!

Clearly, there was a magical formation which prevented peeping.

"Ok then…" Chu Yu jumped down from the huge ship, then followed along the staircase. Step by step, he carefully headed upwards.

You shouldn’t blame Chu Yu for being overly cautious. This place was truly filled with strange things.

It left an uncomfortable feeling in his heart.

Chu Yu walked very slowly. Finally, he reached the very last step and arrived at the foyer of the hall. Hesitation filled his heart as he stared at the open doors.

Because he had already reached the front of the hall but he still couldn’t see what was inside.

However, Chu Yu still chose to enter this grand hall. Because he had thought things through.

The ship was welcomed; rainbows had paved the way; he had traversed the vast ocean and entered the eye of the sea… Finally he arrived here.

If they wanted to screw an Acupoint Charging realm junior like him, then all this was truly too excessive.

As Chu Yu stepped into the hall, there was indeed no form of ripples or waves.

From the outside, he felt that though there would be many floors to this hall. Only after he entered, he found that there was only one floor which was over 100 meters tall!

The four walls of the hall were decorated with huge ink drawings.

It was unknown how old these blank and white ink drawings were, but it didn’t show any signs of fading.

It emanated a rich immortal energy, causing viewers to instantly sink into intoxication.

It seemed like what was drawn on those paintings, was the true Immortal Realm!

At the same time, there were many altar lamps mounted on the four walls. The hall was brightly lit, giving it the impression of daytime.

At the ceiling of the hall, was a star map.

The star map was also drawn using ink. Chu Yu merely glanced at it before feeling like he was instantly transported into the endless space.

This was too realistic!

Deep in the hall, there was a statue.

The statue seemed to be carved using bluestone. The statue had an upright posture with a huge figure. Its face was high and ancient, with a long beard.

Even though it was only a statue, it seemed to ripple with sage-like energy.

Chu Yu seemed to find this statue a little familiar, as though he had seen it before.

After some time, Chu Yu slapped the side of his head, uttering in shock, "Sage Confucius!:

Thereafter, he carefully ran through his memories another time, before confirming, this statue… was of that Sage Confucius who existed 2000 years ago!

However, it wasn’t exactly the same at the statues of the sage throughout China, causing him to be unable to recognise it at first glance.

"This ancient city… Has over 2000 years of history?"

Chu Yu subconsciously felt that it was impossible!

There was no need to talk about the age of the ancient city. Just the location of the ancient city alone could not be accessed by people after the Dharma-ending Age.

And the scale of this ancient city, was not possible by people of the recent age. [1]

Everything here seemed to match the features of a glorious ancient school.

But why did Sage Confucius’ statue appear here?

Could it be, that manifestation over 2000 years ago… was merely an avatar of Sage Confucius?

This sort of words, if uttered tens of years ago, would be treated as nonsense.

Just like that Xiao Zhen those years ago. When he expressed his thesis, he was treated as a lunatic by countless of people.

But now, no one would think so. The world had changed.

Over 2000 years ago was an era where many sages and saints appeared. Many of their identities still remain a mystery today.

Chu Yu took in a deep breath, then walked in front of the statue. He sincerely kowtowed three times.

Pa!

An ancient book descended from above, landing on that spotlessly clean table in front of the statue.

At the same time, a grand voice resounded throughout the hall.

"Enter my sect. Learn my ways. Pass my dao. Expand my ideas."

[1] 2000 years is considered recent in Chinese history.

Limitless - Chapter 36: Eye of the Sea

Chu Yu was equally surprised, he did not expect that there would be another opportunity like that, but yet, another boat appeared.

This boat was exactly the same as the one Qi Heng and the rest got on.

The boat was pitch black in color, and it floated slowly towards the river bank.

Qi Heng and the rest had not gone far. They too saw the boat and began to feel a strong sense of doubt.

"Why is there another boat?" Qi Heng frowned, clearly troubled.

An additional boat meant two additional opponents.

"Could it be... that this place has a method of knowing how many people are here?" Wang Nan said.

"Isn’t that a little impossible? And they split us into batches?"

Liu Xing’s eyes also betrayed his disbelief.

"That is strange..." Xiao Zhangqing sighed before saying, "If my guess is right, this boat is here to pick up Sister Lin... and that man."

"Damn it, don’t let me see him!" Qi Heng said icily.

However, in the next moment, Qi Heng saw Lin Shimeng and Chu Yu. The two of them sprinted down the mountain and towards the boat docked on the river bank.

"Damn it!" Qi Heng’s expression blackened and the way he looked at Lin Shimeng also darkened considereably.

Qi Heng grit his teeth internally: B*tch, if you ever fall into my hands, you shall know my wrath!

Chu Yu ran to the riverside and waved to Qi Heng and the others, who had not gone very far.

"Good luck, little b*stard!"

Xiao Zhangqing and the others looked exasperatingly at Chu Yu.

Qi Heng said through his teeth, "F*ck your luck!"

"Is your brain damaged, rejecting my luck? Fine then, I shall wish you misfortune." Chu Yu laughed.

Since he had already stepped on his toes, he had no need to be courteous.

Qi Heng and Liu Qing were furious, if Chu Yu had antagonized them like that on the shore, they would have snuffed him out on the spot.

They would have let him suffer a torturous death!

However, they did not dare to move freely. The lesson from the two men who died rang in their head. They knew that this river hid many dangers.

Qi Heng stared at Lin Shimeng and Qi Heng, his doll face becoming icy in an instant, "You b*stard, remember, don’t even fall into my grasp!"

Chu Yu laughed it off and waves to Chu Yu.

Lin Shimeng was slightly worried, "What if our boat follows closely behind their?

Chu Yu laughed, "Rest assured, when they reach the opposite bank, their first order of business would be to search the palace. This is because your senior... has no patience. "

Lin Shimeng stiffened before laughing, "that is true, but I must still thank you, Brother Song, if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t know what to do.:

Chu Yu shook his head, "Don’t mention it. However, Ms Lin, have you thought about the future?"

Lin Shimeng became rather depressed and whispered, "The future... not yet. I have thought about it, even if I report it to my tutors, it may not change the result. Unless... unless I can become more talented."

As she spoke, Lin Shimeng laughed bitterly, "But as for things like that, they are controlled by the heavens. Instead of hoping for a miracle to happen, I would rather just hope that we can find something of value here."

Chu Yu thought about it before nodding, "Your wish will come true." He laughed.

"I hope that Brother Song is right!" Lin Shimeng laughed out loud before jumping aboard the small boat.

"Ya, how stable!" Lin Shimeng was taken by surprise.

Chu Yu also jumped on soon after, but it did not feel like he was jumping onto a boat, instead, it felt like he had landed on solid ground.

"This boat... is not bad!" Chu Yu rubbed his chin as he sized up this small black boat beneath his feet.

Lin Shimeng was stunned for a moment, then she broke out in laughter. Brother Song was quite interesting, he actually contemplated taking this boat with him.

Qi Heng and the gang saw the other boat from afar. Qi Heng could clearly see Lin Shimeng’s bright smiles. The rage in his heart burned even brighter as he cursed in his heart, "Slut! Slut! Slut!"

After Chu Yu and Lin Shimeng boarded the boat, it similarly shone a ray of faint light, first scanning over Lin Shimeng.

When she saw the ray of light, she became slightly anxious, but also surprised and curious.

It only extinguished after scanning Lin Shimeng to and fro for a long time.

This scene caused massive confusion on Qi Heng’s boat. They could not understand why the light had only scanned them briefly, but had scanned Lin Shimeng over and over again.

Lin Shimeng was equally clueless, even though she did not feel anything, she did not dare to move about willfully.

Afterwhich, a new ray of light scanned towards Chu Yu.

However, at the moment the light ray approached Chu Yu’s body, there was an invisible wave of energy that was emitted from Chu Yu’s forehead.

That ray of light disappeared instantly!

Qi Heng, who was some distance away laughed out loud, "B*stard, you’re finished!"

His shrill, loud voice travelled all the way to Chu Yu.

Lin Shimeng was also extremely nervous.

However, after a long wait, nothing had happened.

This caused Qi Heng to feel extremely disappointed.

Chu Yu squinted to look at Qi Heng and asked, "Are you dumb?"

Qi Heng was enraged.

At this point, a huge ship appeared out of nowhere!

It appeared on the surface of the water, a few hundred meters from the river bank.

This ship was at least seven to eight meters high, 30+ meters long, and over 10 meters wide.

Aboard the ship was a huge pavilion!

The pillars of the pavilion were engraved with intricate drawings, and they were extremely colorful and magnificent!

Even though Qi Heng and the gang had floated downstream some seven to eight miles, they could still see this clearly.

Everyone was dumbfounded!

"What... what is going on?" Liu Qing stared, tongue tied, at the huge ship.

Following which, there was another ship, five to six meters wide and 17-18 meters long, which appeared on the surface of the river. The two ships were parallel to each other and steamed towards the boats.

This smaller ship also had the same intricate carvings on the pillar of the pavilion as the larger ship. How beautiful!

Both ships radiated an ancient aura.

Almost as if they had sailed from history.

Qi Heng, Xiao Zhangqing and the rest were all completely dumbfounded!

The two ships quickly arrived in front of Chu Yu and Lin Shimeng and stopped.

Afterwhich, something more astounding happened!

Two rays of light shot out from the two ships!

One of the ships shot out seven colors of light!

Red, orange, yellow, green, light green, blue, purple, formed a bridge that extended all the way to Chu Yu.

The smaller ship shot out five colors of light, red, orange, yellow, green and light green.

They too formed a rainbow walkway that extended to Lin Shimeng.

"This..." Lin Shimeng’s eyes widened, feeling as though she was in a fantasy.

Chu Yu was also slightly confused, but he carefully stepped out and onto the seven colored walkway.

He steeled his heart!

The feeling of his feet on a solid surface was reassuring.

He turned and smiled at Lin Shimeng, "Ms Lin, good luck!"

As he spoke, he bounded along the rainbow path towards the big ship.

The moment Chu Yu boarded the ship, the rainbow path disappeared... along with this huge ship!

"Brother Song, good luck!" Lin Shimeng murmured, and stepped onto her own rainbow path without hesitation.

Even though she was still unclear about what was happening, she had a feeling that this was a huge opportunity.

Her exquisite face managed to portray and expression of calm, but her heart was anything but.

Lin Shimeng’s eyes turned a little red and she took a deep breath.

Whether she could change her fate depended on what she could gain from this!

Afterwhich, when Lin Shimeng boarded the ship, it disappeared from the river’s surface in an instant.

Qi Heng and the gang, who had already floated out many miles, looked stupidly at the empty water surface before looking at each other.

They all felt extremely hurt.

Why were the two of them received by huge ships? And why were the five of us forced to squeeze on a tiny boat?

This was too unfair!

Especially that b*stard!

Qi Heng was so angry that his teeth trembled, he did not know where that guy got his lucky from, but he had managed to get such a great opportunity.

"Best if they dragged them straight to hell!" Qi Heng growled

Xiao Zhangqing, Wang Nan and Sun Wei did not look well, after all, their junior was over there. If Sister Lin really had such good luck to stumble upon a large amount of loot, her marriage with Qi Heng... may not go through.

As such, the three of them chose not to speak.

After Qi Heng finished, he realized he had gone overboard and corrected himself, "Of course, nothing can happen to my fiancee!"

Very quickly, the small boat docked at a shore some 30 miles downstream.

The five of them raced to get off before looking at each other.

Xiao Zhangqing said, "Since we are already here, let's go our separate ways and see where our luck takes us!"

The others nodded and Liu Qing reasoned, "Since that is the case, good luck everybody!"

"Good luck!"

The rest of them nodded and rushed towards the ancient palace.

...…

Chu Yu stood atop the huge boat, surprised by the scene in front of his eyes.

He was... actually in the open sea!

How could there be a sea within the pocket dimension dimension beneath the Ruins of the Pile of Three Stars?

If not for the salty sea breeze, Chu Yu would not have believed it.

He thought to himself, could it be that this pocket dimension was linked to an open sea?

Apart from Chu Yu, there was no life on the ship. Chu Yu had walked the entire ship, and did not find any valuable treasure on board, causing him some disappointment.

Initially, he had no idea what was powering the ship, his vertical eye could not see through the ship’s body.

After which, when he leaned over the railing and used his vertical eye to observe the seawater did he realize that there were a large amount of inscription on the ship’s body, just beneath the surface.

When the ship was cutting through the water, the inscriptions had faint waves of energy fluctuations, nothing major.

When the ship slowed, Chu Yu needed to be very conscientious in order feel the tiny energy fluctuations from the ship.

"It is the inscriptions!"

Chu Yu squinted, his shock was unparalleled.

He had not even entered the nucleus of this area, yet Chu Yu could already feel that this place was not ordinary.

Chu Yu stood on the deck, his eyes looking out into the open, yet he found the sea boundless.

He was not familiar with the open sea, thus, he had no idea where he was.

The ship began to speed up, until it finally reached speeds approaching the sound barrier!

The sea looked calm, with no big waves. There were also no spiritual monsters approaching the ship.

After three hours, the ship finally began to slow down.

Chu Yu was stumped, the ship had travelled over 3000 miles in the 3 hours!

Just ahead, there was a huge whirlpool, almost 10000 meters in diameter.

The boundless sea water were all sucked into the whirlpool. Even from a great distance away, Chu Yu could feel the power and grandeur emitted by the whirlpool.

"Eye of the sea!"

Chu Yu could not help but exclaim softly, feeling a chill down his spine.

He did not expect to find such a large eye of the sea in such a foreign place.

Where is this place?

The ship sailed straight for the whirlpool, before Chu Yu could react, the ship had been swallowed by the whirlpool. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Library of Heaven's Path - Chapter 5: Young Mistress

“Have you heard? Cao Xiong laoshi had just competed with the academy’s number one teacher from the bottom, Teacher Zhang Xuan!”

“They competed? Then, wouldn’t Zhang Xuan laoshi have lost for sure?”

“Unexpectedly, that wasn’t so. Zhang Xuan laoshi won! He casually guided a student and made his strength increase by onefold!”

“Increase by onefold? In his first guidance? Even Lu Xun laoshi wouldn’t be capable of doing that! Are you for real?”

“A lot of people witnessed it for themselves, so how could it not be real?”

……

Those who witnessed the competition in the canteen were discussing over it excitedly.

“For the student’s strength to increase by onefold in the first guidance?” Zhao Ya scoffed. “It is definitely just luck!”

Baiyu City was the third biggest city in the Tianxuan Kingdom and Zhao Ya was the daughter of its City Lord. From young, she had been put through top class education and her motive for coming to Hongtian Academy was to be accepted as Lu Xun’s student.

However, she didn’t expect to hear that Lu Xun would be inferior to Zhang Xuan before she even found him. Naturally, she didn’t believe such rumors.

“Luck? I don’t think that it is luck. After all, it is an increase by an entire fold! Just luck itself won’t explain it!” A student sitting not too far away from her couldn’t help but respond to her words.

“You think that it isn’t luck? Don’t think that I do not recognize that Zhang Xuan laoshi. He is the one who scored a zero in the Teacher Qualification Examination and almost got fired! What capabilities do you think a guy like that would possess? If you do not believe my words, I can unmask his facade right here and now!”

Zhao Ya had had an impatient personality since young. Upon hearing someone praise the worst teacher in the academy, she immediately bellowed.

“Fine! We also want to know whether the teacher is just all talk!”

Instantly, two students stood up.

The three of them walked out of the canteen and after asking around, they found Zhang Xuan’s classroom. Pushing open the door, they walked in.

“You are Zhang Xuan laoshi?”

Walking into the classroom, they saw the young man sitting on the teacher’s seat smiling foolishly to himself. No matter how they look at him, he didn’t seem like an impressive teacher. In fact, they started to feel uncomfortable.

“That’s me!”

After noticing the entry of a few students, Zhang Xuan stopped analyzing the Library of Heaven’s Path and turned over to look at them.

“We’ve heard that you have won in a competition against Cao Xiong laoshi and the student you guided had an increase in strength by one fold.” Zhao Ya stated with clear disbelief in her tone. “Good. Then I would like you to guide me as well, to see whether you can increase my strength by one fold as well!”

“I’m not free!”

Zhang Xuan waved them away.

Teachers also have their own pride as educators. They aren’t performers who would perform to the will of the audience. How could they just guide others just because they wanted them to?

Besides that, what’s with your attitude? It’s not like I owe you something.

“Not free? Aren’t you very idle right now?” Zhao Ya could tell that the other party was just trying to shake her off. She grinded her teeth in anger.

She told her friends that she would come and expose his facade, yet right now, she was being chased away without even getting a glimpse at his abilities. She felt embarrassed.

“I have to recruit students. I don’t have the effort to fool around with an arrogant little girl!” Zhang Xuan said calmly.

“You…” Zhao Ya was so furious that her beautiful eyes rolled around.

She was the daughter of a city lord, not to mention she was blessed with good looks. No matter where she went, people looked at her with eyes of admiration. However, not only did this fellow reject her, he even said that she was fooling around. How hateful!

Even if he was a teacher, this was unforgivable!

“What must we do for you to guide us?” Grinding her jade-like teeth, Zhao Ya questioned.

“Acknowledge me as your teacher!” Zhang Xuan replied calmly, as he looked at Zhao Ya with a bizarre expression.

Seeing how the other party was looking at her as though she was an idiot, Zhao Ya staggered, “Fine, I will acknowledge you as my teacher. However… If you were to teach me erroneously or give me bullshit, I will expose your lies!”

“Zhao Ya!”

“You can’t! If you were to take him as your teacher, you won’t be able to become Lu Xun laoshi‘s student…”

The two friends who came with her almost fainted upon hearing her acceptance of his request. They immediately tried to persuade her.

Hearing the persuasion of her two friends, Zhao Ya hesitated.

She was aware of the school rules. After becoming a teacher’s student, if the student wanted to acknowledge another teacher, they would have to first withdraw from the lessons of their current one. However, if they were to do so, the other teacher would tend to reject the student. Not to mention, a popular teacher like Lu Xun.

“You don’t have the guts to? If you don’t dare to, just hurry up and leave. Don’t hold up my business… Recruiting new students!” Zhang Xuan waved her away.

“Who says that I do not have the guts to?”

She was still hesitating but upon hearing Zhang Xuan’s words, Zhao Ya immediately exploded. Her eyebrows furrowed and she said, “I will acknowledge you as my teacher right now! Let’s verify our relationship!”

“You attitude is too bad. Even you want me as your master, I don’t want to accept you!” Zhang Xuan waved her away yet again.

It was natural to want to recruit obedient students, just like the previous Wang Ying. However, the current one seemed to be on gunpowder. Even if he lacked students, he was unwilling to admit her in.

“You…”

She didn’t expect that when she chose to bear with acknowledging him as her teacher, he still refused to accept her. Zhao Ya could feel flames arising from her.

She came here specially to expose his fraud. If she were to stomp away furiously now, wouldn’t she be falling into his trap?

Perhaps, this fellow was intentionally trying to chase her away, so that his fraud could not be exposed.

She was adamant to not allow things go his way!

“Hmph, I will just admit it as my fault first then. After I expose your true face, see how I will put you in place!”

Thinking so, Zhao Ya suppressed the rage in her heart. She smiled faintly, exposing her white teeth, “Teacher, don’t get angry. I was disrespectful! I sincerely wish to become your student, may I plead with you to accept me!”

“This is more like it!” Seeing her change in attitude, Zhang Xuan nodded his head. “I can accept you as my student. Before that, I would like you to clean this room. I don’t want to see a speck of dust here. Also, help me tidy up the washroom outside. Scrub the toilet bowls clean. Afterward, I will check on it. If I am satisfied with your work, I will admit you in under my tutelage!”

“Don’t go too far!”

Zhao Ya was about to go on a rampage.

What was her identity? She was the daughter of a city lord, a daughter of a noble. From young, she had never done any household chore before, and yet this fellow intended for her to sweep the room? Even… cleaning the washrooms? Scrub the toilet bowls?

Was he insane?

“If you can’t even do such superficial tasks, you can leave right now. I don’t need lazy and useless students!” Zhang Xuan said.

Hehe, little lass. You want to play with me? You are still much too inexperienced!

“Who says that I am useless! I will clean up now, I will scrub now!” Zhao Ya grinds her. Grabbing a broom and mop, she starts to tidy up the room.

“Zhao Ya, how about we just forget about it…”

“I don’t think he is really capable. He is purposely making things hard for you…”

The two friends who tagged along with her, upon seeing the young mistress of a city lord starting to clean up the place, they were all horrified and quickly attempted to convince her otherwise.

“Both of you wait outside first. Since young, I, Zhao Ya, have never really lost before. Today, I have decided to go all out against him!” Zhao Ya frowned.

“That…”

Her two friends understood Zhao Ya’s temper. Seeing that she couldn’t be persuaded, the both of them looked at each other, at a loss of what to do.

“Inform butler Yao, didn’t he come as well? If the butler were to know that the fellow who scored zero for his Teacher Qualification Examination was ordering young mistress to scrub the toilet bowl, he would definitely stop him!”

After staring at each other for a moment, one of them came up with a solution.

For a person of Zhao Ya’s identity, even though there weren’t any threats on the journey to the academy, there was still someone who escorted her. The person who escorted her was butler Yao. Presently, he should still be around the academy.

“Alright, let’s look for him now!”

Without any hesitation, the two of them immediately rushed out of the academy.

For Zhao Ya who had a stubborn temper just like any other daughters of rich households, even though she had never done household chores before, it didn’t take her long to adapt to it. Swiftly, the interior of the room became clean. Even the washroom outside was sparkling.

“Not bad!” Zhang Xuan nodded his head in satisfaction.

“You should be satisfied now. You can admit me as your student and guide my cultivation now, right?”

After finishing her work, Zhao Ya crushed her teeth together ‘luo luo!’. Her jade-like face distorted as she tried to hold herself back from punching the guy in front of her.

“Un, your identity card!”

Disregarding the other party’s murderous gaze, Zhang Xuan threw a jade token to her casually.

Taking a deep breath, Zhao Ya dripped a drop of blood on it, verifying their relationship.

“Zhang laoshi, now that I am your student, can you give me a pointer or two?”

Now that she was on the verge of accomplishing her objective, revealing the true face of the despicable man before her, Zhao Ya suppressed the excitement in her heart and asked.

“Display a fighting technique to me first, so that I can gauge your fundamentals!” Zhang Xuan beckoned.

“Yes!”

Without any nonsense, Zhao Ya clasped her hands together and bowed before executing her skills.

Huhuhuhu!

The wind howled. Her blow was full of might. As a female as well, her blows were much faster and stronger than Wang Ying. With a single look, it was apparent that she put quite a bit of effort into her training.

While looking at Zhao Ya execute her skill, Zhang Xuan’s mind was currently in the library. As expected, with a light tremor, a book fell from the shelves.

The two words ‘Zhao Ya’ were written on the cover.

“Zhao Ya, the daughter of the City Lord of Baiyu City. Fighter 1-dan Juxi Realm Pinnacle!”

“Cultivation Technique: White Jade Pure Maiden Skill!”

……

Weakness: 27 flaws. No.1, her personality is rash and she is easily angered. This goes against the White Jade Skill’s nature of calmness and smoothness, so she is unable to bring out its full strength. No.2…”

The book was just like what he saw previously. It recorded all of the flaws and deficiencies in Zhao Ya’s cultivation.

Peng! Peng! Peng!

After a short moment, Zhao Ya completed the entire punch routine. Clenching her feminine hands, she turned around and sent a blow towards the rock pillar in the classroom that was used for measuring the strength of one’s blow!

A crisp sound. A set of number appeared on it.

110!

“Not bad, not bad!” Zhang Xuan couldn’t help but nod his head.

To be capable of wielding such strength in her fist before coming to the academy, Zhao Ya was indeed the daughter of a City Lord, holding extraordinary strength.

“Alright, give me some pointers!”

After executing her skill, her face didn’t turn red nor did she gasp for breath. Zhao Ya turned to look at Zhang Xuan.
Library of Heaven's Path

Library of Heaven's Path - Chapter 4: Slapping Face

“I…”

The tremor from the Library of Heaven’s Path just now caused his attention to be concentrated in his mind and he was still in a dazed state. Furthermore, he didn’t even know what the other person’s punching routine was, so how the hell could he guide him!

“Teacher Zhang, please correct my flaws!”

Liu Yang stepped forward and bent over completely.

By one side, Wang Ying blinked her eyes. She wants to see how this ‘expert’ she had just met would guide him.

“Keng!”

Everyone’s gaze concentrated on him. If he didn’t speak soon, he would only end in embarrassment. Just as Zhang Xuan was about to spout bullshit, he suddenly remembered Liu Yang’s flaws that were recorded in the book in the library.

He didn’t know whether what was recorded on it was true or not. However, given the situation, it was probably impossible for him to make something up on the spot. Thus, he could only buck up his courage to say, “There are many flaws in your punch routine, a total of 12 of them!”

“Haha, he said that there are many flaws in there, 12 of them? I didn’t hear wrongly, did I!”

“This is the funniest joke I have heard!”

“This Soaring Flower Fist may not be very advanced, but it is one of the most common skills in the entire kingdom and is known as the Basic Fist. After thousands of years of simplification and refining, although it cannot be considered as perfect, he actually says that there are 12 flaws?”

“A bunch of lies! He probably couldn’t discern anything, that’s why he decided to make things up!”

……

Initially, the surrounding crowd was still pondering over what he would say. The moment he opened his mouth, everyone of them burst into laughter.

Soaring Flower Fist was one of the most basic punching routines of the Tianxuan Kingdom. It was similar to the Taizu Changquan, as long as one was practicing martial arts, they would have to learn it first. After thousands of years of refinement by countless experts, though it didn’t hold much might, but it was well-reputed for its lack of flaws. Even more so, some people called it the ‘Flawless Fists’.

For such a punching routine, that fellow actually claimed that there were 12 flaws in it… What kind of joke was it!

Ignoring the fact that he scored zero for his Teacher Qualification Examination, even if the principal were to come over, he probably won’t be able to point out so many flaws!

“Oh? Teacher Zhang sure is a genius, to be able to find 12 flaws in the Soaring Flower Fists. Do enlighten us!”

Apparently, Cao Xiong didn’t expect Zhang Xuan to be so boastful and to say such words the moment he opened his mouth. Excited, his eyes twinkled. He purposely said those words to push Zhang Xuan into a corner.

Even despite hearing the words from the crowd, Zhang Xuan remained expressionless. However, his heart couldn’t help but beat erratically. He didn’t expect that the Liu Yang fellow would use a punch routine everyone was aware of.

His previous self would definitely be aware of it. However, given that he just transcended over, the other person’s memory had yet to fully merge with his!

However, even though he was a librarian in his previous life, he was still a transcender with an entirely different set of knowledge. Not to mention, his skin was thick. After rolling his eyes, he said, “Why, you don’t believe it? It isn’t that I don’t want to guide him, but that you all do not trust me. Since you don’t want to do as I guided you to… Then, you all can’t blame me for it! Wang Ying, let’s go. This kind of gamble is pointless!”

“Hold it there, we trust you! Do enlighten us!”

Seeing that he was on the verge of leaving, Cao Xiong immediately stopped him.

He could tell that the other party is intentionally coming up with exaggerated figures, so that other people would refuse to trust him and he could make use of this opportunity to sneak away. However, it wasn’t easy for him to grasp hold of this opportunity to teach him a lesson, so how could he give up at this point!

“That…”

Seeing that he was unable to sneak away, Zhang Xuan could only take out the book compiled by the library once again.

“If I die, so be it!”

Since there’s no backing out now, he stared at the flaws recorded in the book and looked through the 12 of them once again. Then, his gaze fell on the last one. He grinded his teeth and spoke, “The punch routine you just used is right-handed. Let me give you a suggestion. Try using your left hand to strike the stone pillar!”

Since it was a special privilege granted to a transcender, there was a chance that it could be correct. Besides, even if the information on it wasn’t accurate, he couldn’t think of a better reason to worm his way out at this point.

“Try using the left-handed version?”

“This can be also considered as guidance?”

“What kind of joke is this. One’s left hand is normally weak. If he were to execute it with his left fist, won’t he be screwing up the entire punch routine?”

……

The crowd first became stunned before a commotion broke out. All of them stared at Zhang Xuan with looks of contempt.

Everyone knew that the left-hand was weaker than the right. Given the shock wave from the fist Liu Yang just executed, he obviously wasn’t left-handed. Yet now, to ask him to execute it with his left hand… What kind of joke is this?

“Liu Yang, try using Teacher Zhang’s method so that he can give it up!”

Apparently, Cao Xiong didn’t expect Zhang Xuan to say that. He was so excited that he was on the verge of skipping with joy, but he still yelled a command to Liu Yang.

Even though he just accepted him as a student, he was extremely sure that Liu Yang was more skilled with his right and that he wasn’t a left-handed. If he were to really execute it that way, the force behind it probably wouldn’t even hit 30kg!

For a student to hit 62kg before guidance and below 30kg after guidance, this would definitely cause Zhang Xuan’s reputation to fall to the gutters!

Let’s see whether he can still remain so smug!

“Yes!” Liu Yang snickered coldly and executed the punch routine again.

He was very aware of the fact that he wasn’t left-handed. To get him to execute the blow with his left-hand… A load of bullshit.

Soaring Flower Fist was the basic fist he had been practicing since young. Although he wasn’t very used with the inversion of left and right, he soon got over it. Even though the shock wave from the fist created a strong gale, regardless of whether it was his strength or proficiency, it seemed to be worse than the previous one.

“Could it be… my privilege as a transcender is a sham?”

Zhang Xuan was very nervous.

Other people’s privilege when they transcend included an old grandfather who could just casually enlighten them. As long as they were to follow his instruction devotedly, there would be bound to have no problems. Yet, he just had to get a library with all sorts of messy things written in the book. If what was written in the book was false, he would definitely get expelled from the school!

Hu!

Very quickly, he finished the routine. Liu Yang walked over to the stone pillar and raising his left fist, he smashed it in.

Weng!

A series of digits appeared.

“One. Haha, to think it would be in the tens…”

When the digit ‘1’ appeared on it, Cao Xiong burst into laughter as an exhilarated expression appeared on his face. However, before he could finish his words, they got stuck in his throat. His eyeballs were about to fall onto the ground.

“123?”

“123kg?”

The crowd who had intended to mock him were scared foolish and they trembled uncontrollably.

Previously, Liu Yang’s blow did 62kg and now that it had risen to 123kg, that was almost a single fold! That was… almost a 100% increase!

Was that for real?

Even the teacher who scored first in the Teacher Qualification Examination throughout the campus, during his first guidance, couldn’t possibly cause his student’s result to increase by a single fold! noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

“I… I… Is this from me?”

Even the person in question, Liu Yang, was stunned.

He stared foolishly at the rock pillar in disbelief.

He knew that he isn’t left-handed. However, never could he imagine that his left-hand strength would hold so much strength! That was a single fold more compared to his right!

The crowd was astonished. Zhang Xuan almost leapt from all the joy surging through his body.

“It’s true!”

At this instant, he could finally confirm that the flaws compiled by the library were true.

To be able to see through the skills a person was cultivating in and his weakness… This privilege of a transcender was really going to bash through the heavens!

“So, how was it? Your guidance has led to a 20% improvement while mine has led to a 100% improvement. Teacher Cao, what else do you want to say?” Zhang Xuan snickered.

“I…” Cao Xiong’s face turned pale as he felt a burning sensation on his face.

Initially, he proposed this competition to see the other party make a fool out of himself. In the end, the one who was made a fool of was himself.

Retrieving a jade token from his embrace, he bit on his finger and a drop of fresh blood fell on it. “Liu Yang, I am revoking your status as my student. You can now acknowledge Teacher Zhang as your teacher!”

After saying that, he glanced at Zhang Xuan, “You don’t have to be too smug about it. This time, you were lucky. The next time we compete, I will make sure that your reputation is ruined…”

Then, he turned around to leave.

This time, not only did his reputation took a blow, he lost a student and even got slapped hard on his face.

It was one thing to lose to other teachers. However, the main crux of the problem was that this fellow was the one who scored a zero in the Teacher Qualification Examination, the worst teacher in the entire academy…

“Teacher, teacher…”

Watching as Cao Xiong departed, Liu Yang’s face darkened.

Although he managed to achieve a good result under Zhang Xuan’s guidance, he, like Cao Xiong, believed that it was only due to luck. He didn’t believe that he would have this kind of skills.

“Alright, you are now my student. Hurry up and take out your identity card!”

Zhang Xuan didn’t care what he was thinking about. A victory in a bet had given him a new student, so he was still busy celebrating over it. He casually tossed a jade token over.

Although Liu Yang wasn’t really willing to become his student, he knew that he had to give into the results of the bet. If he didn’t acknowledge this Zhang Xuan as his teacher, the other teachers would definitely reject him. Thus, he could only drip his blood onto this jade token to complete the verification.

“Tomorrow, meet here for lessons!”

After finish dealing with Liu Yang, Zhang Xuan didn’t say anything excessive. He looked at Wang Ying and said those words faintly before walking out of the canteen.

Returning back to his lecture hall, Zhang Xuan delved into his mind without second thoughts to examine the Library of Heaven’s Path closely.

After examining for awhile, he finally understood a thing or two about it.

As long as the person executed his skill or martial art before him, it would immediately compile into a book of their flaws.

“Haha, I have really struck it rich this time! With this thing in my hand, I would be able to see through any flaws at one go. I don’t believe that I will still score a zero for the next Teacher Qualification Examination!”

Frenzied joy raced through his heart. As a transcender, Zhang Xuan finally felt some enthusiasm for the future.
