The Lord's Empire - Chapter 26 – Grey Wolf King

Zhao Fu sent two people to take the Azure Oxen back to the Great Qin Village while the rest of the party continued onwards. At this moment, some rustling could be heard from the grass nearby, causing everyone to stop. A Violent Flame Rabbit jumped out – this Violet Flame Rabbit was smaller than the one they had encountered some time ago.

Violent Flame Rabbits have extremely explosive temperaments, and it dared to attack Zhao Fu’s massive group of people, a fireball flying towards them.

A Shieldbearer raised his shield and stepped forwards, blocking the fireball easily. The force behind the fireball only caused him to take a single step back, and he barely took any damage at all.

At this moment, Zhao Fu ordered his Archers to attack. Facing so many arrows, the Violent Flame Rabbit tried to dodge as quickly as it could, but it ended up just being shot to death. However, after the Violent Flame Rabbit died, it did not drop a red orb, making Zhao Fu feel quite disappointed.

They continued forwards and encountered 30 or so Black Mountain Sheep. They used traps to once again capture and tame them, and this happened quite a few times over the next few days before they returned.

In the end, they tamed quite a few wild beasts: 36 wild boars, 85 Azure Oxen, and 215 Black Mountain Sheep.

They did not obtain a single Magic skill or find any horses. Over these few days, Wang Dawu had done a simple repair on all of the weapons they had obtained at the bottom of the crack and on the plate armor.

After changing their equipment, out of the 30 people that Zhao Fu had brought with him, most of the Archers and Shieldbearers had Blue grade weapons, while almost every Infantryman had Blue grade weapons.

After Wang Dawu completed these, Zhao Fu ordered him to create some special equipment. This equipment was designed by Zhao Fu, Bai Qi, and Li Si to deal specifically with the Skeletons.

Zhao Fu continued taking people to the Forest of Horrors in hopes of encountering some magic beasts or horses.

At this moment, Zhao Fu was passing by a mountain valley when a few Grey Wolves suddenly rushed at them. They were quickly killed by the Archers, but this piqued Zhao Fu’s curiosity, so he decided to explore the valley.

Who would have thought that he would find a Den within the valley? Zhao Fu and his soldiers hid on a mountain slope nearby, scoping out the area.

Below them was the mountain valley, and there was a flat piece of land around 3,000 meters in length. There were wild grasses growing around it, but there was a round stage made of brick at the center, and it looked very much like the [Origin] of a village. However, there was a statue of a wolf floating above the round stage.

There were many Grey Wolves around the round stage who were playing and fighting. There seemed to be around 400 to 500 of them, and there was even a Wolf King among them. It was as big as a tiger and had soft-looking grey fur. Its gaze was sharp, and the fur on its head was silver.

Even though they had not discovered any magic beasts or horses, Zhao Fu was quite happy to have made such a discovery.

Zhao Fu immediately returned to the Great Qin Village, gathered his forces, and headed back to the Grey Wolf valley with 326 soldiers.

Of course, Zhao Fu did not launch a direct attack. Unless he held an overwhelming advantage, he would never do such a thing, so they first hid for a while. He then ordered his soldiers to start creating traps to lure the wolves out. It was quite simple: they would use fresh meat and blood to attract them. The traps didn’t even have to be too close to the wolves because wolves have an excellent sense of smell. Luring over 10 or so wolves would be enough.

Zhao Fu caught and killed a few wild deer, cutting up their corpses and pouring their blood on the ground to ensure the success of the traps. Those who were ordered to hide nearby rolled around in the mud for a while and used bits of chili and garlic to cover their scent.

The plan went quite successfully. Soon, 10 or so Grey Wolves were attracted by the scent of blood and guts. The Grey Wolves were still quite alert and did not immediately leap onto the deer meat. Instead, they used their sense of smell from a distance, and after not discovering any danger, they slowly approached.

Following this, the Grey Wolves went beside the deer meat but did not immediately start eating. They lowered their heads and smelled it – it would have been impossible for Zhao Fu to use poison – and after confirming that the deer meat was fine, they started to eat when…

Swish! Swish! Swish…

Arrows shot out of the forest towards the Grey Wolves. They were greatly startled and turned to run away, but many of them were still killed. A few of them were able to escape from the rain of arrows but were immediately cornered by Zhao Fu’s hidden soldiers.

At this moment, one of the Grey Wolves stopped and raised its head. Zhao Fu realised that it was about to howl to attract over other Grey Wolves – this would cause his plan to fail, so he quickly drew his bow and shot an arrow at it.

The arrow drew an arc through the air, glinting with a cold light.

Puchi!

The arrow stabbed into the Grey Wolf’s neck, causing it to fall to the ground and rasp quietly. After twitching a few times, it died on the spot. Zhao Fu gave the order for the other Grey Wolves to be quickly killed so that they wouldn’t have an opportunity to call the other wolves.

Zhao Fu’s people quickly acted, disposing of the remaining Grey Wolves. After this, they continuously used the same method to lure over Grey Wolves but became much more careful.

In this way, they killed 213 Grey Wolves. After so many wolves died, the Grey Wolf King in the mountain valley detected something and stood up, walked to a large rock, and raised its head.

“Awoooo~~~”

A massive howl echoed throughout the valley, and the wolves that had been playing or eating all stopped what they were doing and howled in response.

“Awoooo! Awooo! Awooo…”

Wolves from all over the valley howled, giving off a fearsome aura and causing countless birds to fly away from the mountain valley.

By now, Zhao Fu and his soldiers had returned to the valley and gotten into formation. They marched with heavy footsteps, giving off the airs of a grand army as they entered the valley.

The Grey Wolf King on the large rock immediately saw Zhao Fu and his soldiers and furiously howled. The Grey Wolves started to rush at Zhao Fu’s soldiers without regard for their lives, and soon, 300 Grey Wolves were rushing at them like a grey flood.

“Assume positions!” Zhao Fu loudly roared.

The Spear and Shield Soldiers took three steps forwards, pointing their spears at the Grey Wolves. The Archers also drew their bows as the Gnomes readied their crossbows.

“Fire!” Zhao Fu loudly called out when the Grey Wolves entered their attack range.

Swish! Swish! Swish…

The sound of the air being torn continuously sounded out as arrows and crossbow bolts streaked through the air, raining down on the Grey Wolves.

Chi! Chi! Chi…

As the rain of arrows and crossbow bolts descended, the Grey Wolves fell one after another, but there were still ones that continued running.

“Fire!” Zhao Fu once again roared.

Arrows and crossbow bolts once again filled the sky, covering the pack of Grey Wolves and killing many of them.

By now, the surviving Grey Wolves had reached Zhao Fu’s forces, and they sprang towards them. However, the Shieldbearers at the front stabbed out with their spears.

Chi! Chi! Chi…

Blood splattered everywhere as multiple Grey Wolves were pierced by the spears. Wolves were not very strong by themselves and were only powerful in packs. After going through two waves of arrows and crossbow bolts, there were only 150 or so Grey Wolves remaining from the 300 Grey Wolves. Even though there were still many of them, Zhao Fu’s forces had double their numbers and were in perfect formation, creating an unbreakable wall. The battle was completely in Zhao Fu’s favor.

The Grey Wolf King could not watch on anymore, its body turning into a black blur as it rushed towards Zhao Fu’s soldiers.

The Lord's Empire - Chapter 25 – Den

Zhao Fu was happy that the Great Qin Village had finally leveled up. After returning to the Great Qin Village, he brought Deng Li and 36 pieces of plate armor to Wang Dawu and asked him to do some repairs on the plate armor.

Right now, the Smithy and Tailor Shop greatly lacked people. The weapons they had obtained from the bottom of the crack had still not been repaired, and now, there was also plate armor that needed to be repaired. As such, Zhao Fu had to add some more people to help them.

Afterwards, Zhao Fu re-established the Ferocious Tiger Village west of the Great Qin Village and sent a few people to manage it. Finally, he went to the Great Qin Village’s Village Hall and looked at its new stats:

Village Name: Great Qin Village (Legendary)

Level: Intermediate (24/30,000)

Village Area: 5 square kilometers.

Village Territory: 250 square kilometres.

Residents: 465/6000

Military: 216/2400

Popular Support: 80

Village Special Stats: Territory Crop Output +40%, Territory Crop Growing Time -40%, Population Limit +20%, Residents’ stats can randomly +2, Soldiers’ stats +2%, Population Attraction +30%, chances of attracting higher grade population +30%

Subsidiary Village Limit: 8

Subordinate Villages: Logue Village, Jean Village, Dorun Village, Li Family Village, Wild Wolf Village, Ferocious Tiger Village

In terms of stats, Zhao Fu was not too surprised that the village’s stats had increased by 10%. However, he was shocked to see that he could now have 8 Subsidiary Villages.

However, the population of the village was always a problem: he only had 465 residents, while the limit was 6000. Apart from the Great Qin Village, even the other villages had not been filled up. This was especially so for the Wild Wolf Village and the Ferocious Tiger Village – altogether, Zhao Fu had sent less than 20 people to those villages.

Before, the Li Family Village had been quite populated, but Zhao Fu took two-thirds of the population with him to the Great Qin Village, so the Li Family Village was also lacking people.

This made Zhao Fu sigh. However, he couldn’t expect to fill all of them in just a few days or even weeks: the development of villages took months, if not years, and they would only gradually become powerful over time. Right now, with all of the villages combined and the Great Qin Village’s special stats, he could summon 40 villagers every day.

As for the bottom of the large crack, Zhao Fu did not plan on exploring it for the time being. He decided that he would create two special teams to explore the bottom of the crack in the future.

Right now, Zhao Fu wanted to create a Mage group. Magic skills were quite rare, but they were incredibly powerful. As such, Zhao Fu planned to take some soldiers to kill magic beasts. He also wanted to tame some large beasts, such as cows, pigs, and horses. Because of their lack of horses, Zhao Fu had not been able to create a Cavalry team.

They could not do without Cavalry, the most powerful type of soldier in an era where cold weapons reigned supreme. Moreover, with horses, they wouldn’t have to run to places themselves.

Zhao Fu spent some money to obtain the Taming skill without changing professions and brought Bai Qi, Old Logue, 10 Spear and Shield soldiers, 10 Sabermen, and 10 Archers with him. Finally, after much pleading from Liu Mei, Zhao Fu could only agree to take her as well.

The Great Qin Village was in the outer region of the Forest of Horrors, and the further one went into the forest, the more magic beasts there would be. As such, Zhao Fu took his soldiers and headed west.

On their journey, the trees became larger and larger, and they seemed to pierce through the clouds. The lighting became quite dim, and the trees’ appearances were all quite strange. They would occasionally see some wild rabbits run past and make some noise.

Zhao Fu did not pay these things much mind, and he led his people onwards. Soon, he found a sow and 8 piglets looking for food.

Wild boars were animals that lived by themselves when they became mature, and unlike other animals that were usually caught in large numbers, they were quite hard to catch. If they could find a Den, that would be ideal.

Dens were like villages for animals, and they were places where wild animals would spawn. However, there were very few Dens, and they were protected by at least hundreds of wild beasts up to even tens of thousands.

They were now quite far away from the Great Qin Village, so it was impossible for them to go back just to bring the sow and piglets back, so they ended up sparing them.

Onwards!

Zhao Fu suddenly stopped as he discovered 10 or so Azure Oxen beside a small creek. Their fur was a light azure color, and they had 2 horns that gave off a metallic luster.

If they could capture these Azure Oxen, they could use them to plow the land as well as deliver iron ore, saving them a lot of manpower. As such, Zhao Fu immediately turned his attention to the herd of Azure Oxen.

However, these large wild beasts were not easy to catch. If Zhao Fu and his people rushed up to the Azure Oxen and caused them to go wild and charge at Zhao Fu and his people, things could go badly. His 10 Shieldbearers definitely wouldn’t be able to stop these 10 or so Azure Oxen.

Moreover, he couldn’t rely on Archers either. It would be fine to shoot a few arrows at them, but if the arrows hit their vitals, the Azure Oxen would immediately run away. How could someone chase after an ox that had been stimulated by pain? Moreover, if the other oxen became scared and rushed off, they would not be able to do anything about it either.

Perhaps the Archers could aim at the Azure Oxen’s legs, making it so that they couldn’t run. However, there was a chance of permanently crippling the Azure Oxen. Using crippled Azure Oxen to plow the land or to deliver iron ore wouldn’t be very efficient.

As such, using traps was their best course of action. Zhao Fu turned and told his idea to Bai Qi and the others, and they all nodded in agreement and started to set traps north of the Azure Oxen.

Zhao Fu split the soldiers into three teams, and Zhao Fu, Bai Qi, and Liu Mei took leadership of one team each. Because Old Logue was fairly old and was a Goblin, he couldn’t run very fast, so he would stay where he was and use his fireballs to make sure that the Azure Oxen ran into the traps.

Following this, they set their plan into action. Zhao Fu, Bai Qi, and Liu Mei’s teams came from the east, south, and west, moving towards the Azure Oxen. As they drew closer, the Azure Oxen sensed danger, stopped eating grass, and started to look around them.

At this moment, the three teams rushed at them but did not attack. They only loudly shouted or hit their swords and sabers against their shields, making it seem like they had a massive force. This caused the Azure Oxen to run away in fear.

The most cheerful of them all was Liu Mei, and she laughed loudly as she brandished her whip. As the soldiers clamored and rushed at the Azure Oxen from the east, south, and west, the oxen could only run north.

The three teams gradually joined together and chased after the Azure Oxen. If the Azure Oxen strayed off the path leading to the traps, Zhao Fu’s Archers used their arrows to herd them in the right direction.

Soon, the Azure Oxen rushed into the traps and their legs were tightly bound.

Bang, bang, bang, bang…

The Azure Oxen crashed to the ground, causing muffled sounds and dust to fill the air. The Azure Oxen quickly got up and tried to run, but they could not get rid of the ropes around their legs.

These ropes were two finger widths thick, and they were wrapped around trees that were at least 1 meter thick. As such, no matter how much the Azure Oxen struggled, they could not break free.

When they had used up all of their strength, Zhao Fu’s people went up to them and started to use Taming, easily netting them 16 Azure Oxen.

Limitless - Chapter 71: White-Wash

The news of Song Hong’s appearance was like a wind, rapidly spreading throughout the whole of Dragon City.

"That fella that was likely to have obtained the Crane Saint's legacy has appeared!"

"He's much more valuable than that Chu Yu!"

"The main actor has arrived!"

Just as many people were restless over this issue, a second news came.

Truth Ancient Sect's heir, San Sen, had received one slap and two kicks from Song Hong. Half his face had been destroyed and both his legs were crippled!

It's even said that he now looks to wretched, that not even his mother could recognise him!

When the people of Dragon City heard this news, they were all stupefied!

"The hell, isn’t that too brutal?"

"The Truth Ancient Sect has made its reappearance back into the world, and someone still dares to be so brutal? This Song Hong really has balls big enough to cover the heavens! From how I see it, there’s a good 80 to 90% possibility that Qiu Tianxue died at the Celestial Fox Immortal Cave because of him!"

"Oh god, that Song Hong… Is really so awesome? Didn’t they say that he’s only in the Acupoint Charging Realm?"

"San Sen is one of the direct disciples of Truth Ancient Sect. Even though he’s not the most impressive one, his level should at least be in Invigorated Meridian Stage 3 or 4 right? He was actually completely wrecked like this?"

"That Song Hong is too mysterious. Where exactly did he come from? Could there be a much stronger ancient faction?"

In no time, the entire Dragon City was filled with undercurrents.

Countless people could not help but be restless. On one hand, they were in aghast by Song Hong’s courage and huge balls. On another hand, they were all secretly scheming on how they could obtain the Crane Saint’s legacy!

After all, this was their real purpose in coming to Dragon City!

Within Chu Tianxiong’s villa.

After he answered a few calls, he stared at Chu Yu solemnly, "Things have gone wrong! Young lord, you need to leave now! Under this villa, there’s a secret passage that leads outside the city!"

Chu Yu looked at Chu Tianxiong, "Did those people hiding in Dragon City start to move?"

"Those people… to the current young lord, are not very terrifying. The real terrifying ones… are the Xiantian powerhouses behind them!"

Chu Tianxiong sighed, "The news from the Celestial Fox Immortal Cave can no longer be covered. The Crane Saint’s legacy, is coveted by too many people. Even Xiantian cultivators cannot help but be tempted."

Chu Yu laughed, "Don’t worry, I’m Song Hong now."

Chu Tianxiong’s face turned anxious, "It doesn’t matter who you are ah! Young lord, the powers in play now are too dangerous! What if within this group of people, there’s really a Xiantian powerhouse?"

Chu Tianxiong was very clear, Song Hong was Chu Yu. If Song Hong was dead, then Chu Yu was also dead!

This sort of loss, could not be bore by the Chu Clan.

He looked at Chu Yu and advised, "Just now, didn’t that Xue Ran say that she was going to bail the Chu Clan out? Young lord, why don’t you use this opportunity to leave, what are you waiting for?"

"Let’s see first, whether or not Xue Ran will even release the news."

Chu Yu laughed gently, "Uncle Xiong, rest assured. They won’t be able to catch me!

Chu Yu was quite confident; his Facebook… was not merely able to create the face of Song Hong!

At this point, Chu Tianxiong’s phone started ringing.

He accepted the call, and after listening to a few messages, a look of joy emerged on his face.

After hanging up his phone, Chu Tianxiong exhaled deeply, then turned to Chu Yu excitedly, "Sucess! Look at the post on social media! I can’t believe that woman really… Keke!"

Chu Yu switched on his phone and went to the biggest social media. Immediately, he saw the most trending post.

Written in bright, red words, the title of the post was like so - Where is the Crane Saint’s legacy? Is Chu Yu just a poor scapegoat?

Within the post itself, there were many additional details.

"Even though Song Hong had been claiming that Chu Yu is his junior brother, but everyone knows that Chu Yu had been wasted 16 years ago. So, the truth behind this matter is hard to determine. Moreover, for such a supreme technique like the Crane Saint’s legacy, why would Song Hong casually give it to another person?"

"Recently, the Chu Clan and Chu Yu have become a common target for all, as large amounts of ancient factions concentrate their forces in Dragon. There’s no need to discuss their purpose in coming to Dragon City, but these people, have they been scammed by Song Hong?"

"Everyone’s attention is now focused on the Chu Clan. On the other hand, Song Hong is no where to be seen, safe from everyone’s eyes!"

"This pushing of the blame to a scapegoat, had been well played…"

"Actually, this Chu Yu is rather pitiable. A former genius turned to trash 16 years ago. Now, he’s even being made use of."

"Song Hong’s schemes run deep. Now, he has made his way to Dragon City, and he even shows himself into the Chu Clan’s Dragon City Branch Head, Chu Tianxiong’s villa. All this, clearly shows his intentions."

"Poor Chu Clan, a mere underworld clan, actually has to bear sucha heavy pressure! I guess that they truly have no where else to go."

"Actually, everyone might have been scammed, and your attentions diverted!"

"Finding Song Hong, would be equivalent to finding the Crane Saint’s legacy. What’s the need to look farwaway when things are right in front of you?"

"I’m not helping the Chu Clan. Actually, if anyone knows my ID, you would know who I am. Why am I doing this? Simple, because Song Hong injured my friend, San Sen!"

"Even if we don’t obtain the Crane Saint’s legacy, I wish to help my friend seek justice. Bring this Song Hong to light!"

This post, was filled with righteous words, and its statements were grounded with logic!

The moment this post was released, it instantly caused a stir on the entire Internet.

Soon, many people came to an understanding. They have indeed been scammed by Song Hong!

That fella’s too cunning!

He purposely acted close to Chu Yu, all so he could divert everyone’s attention.

Too shameless!

He was clearly ignoring his own face ah!

If Chu Yu was really his junior brother, how could Song Hong scam someone so close to him?

Wasn’t that too much?

Countless people were enraged, thinking that Song Hong was too despicable, to even harm his own friends!

Now, many people were even questioning, was Chu Yu even Song Hong’s junior brother?

The person who released this post was naturally Xue Ran!

Not long after releasing this post, Xue Ran secretly sent someone over to Chu Tianxiong’s villa.

It was a 30 over year old man with ordinary appearances. The moment he saw Chu Yu, he directly reported his family name.

"Greetings Young Lord Song. I’m Miss Xue Ran’s follower. She asked me to relay a message to you, is there any more secretive place?"

"Let’s just do it here then!" Chu Yu looked at him with an "ashen" face. He continued, "She still dares to send someone here? She’s not afraid that I would kill you?"

The man laughed slightly, as he replied without being humble nor arrogant,"If this little one dares to come, I’m naturally not afraid of death. Moreover, Young Lord Song is an important figure, you definitely would not lower yourself to deal with a minor figure like me."

"She’s very clueless; spouting off nonsense and spoiling my plans!" Chu Yu snorted, his tone was icy cold.

"My house’s little miss has said, this matter is actually not a big matter. If Young Lord Song cannot take the pressure, you can choose to work with my house’s little miss. She is very sincere in befriending Young Lord Song. Furthermore, helping the Chu Clan was following Young Lord Song’s intentions. After all, Young Lord Song wouldn’t be willing to see the Chu Clan face a calamity for this, right?" The man said calmly.

"She only knows bullsh*t!" After Chu Yu cursed, he suddenly sneered, "What qualifications does she have to work with me? Does she really think that I’m afraid of these trivial matters in Dragon City?"

"My house’s little miss says, she had Xiantian powerhouses by her side. She can ensure Young Lord Song’s safety."

"So what if have more Xiantian experts? F*ck off. I’m not going to kill you, but I don’t want to see you any further. Tell your house’s little miss, for spoiling my business, I’m going to collect this debt from her in the future!" Chu Yu said coldly.

The man laughed gently, "This little one will definitely do it!"

With that, he calmly left the premises.

Waiting for this person to leave, Chu Yu and Chu Tianxiong glanced at one another, and could not help but laugh.

By the side, Old Yellow said weakly, "You human beings are so cunnign! You even slander our animal kind; what sly fox, and chicken stealing weasels, ah…"

"Those are just metaphors," Chu Yu said.

"Why don’t you use yourselves as the metaphor? Like a sly little kid, or a shameless chicken-stealing human?" Old Yellow rolled his eyes.

Chu Tianxiong laughed and said, "Now that the attention has been shifted, will the young lord really go and trouble them?"

"I want to see exactly how strong I am now. Uncle Xiong, don’t worry," As Chu Yu spoke, he turned to Old Yellow. "Come, let’s go out to the city and play!"

Old Yellow stared reluctantly at the cartoon on the TV, sighed, and followed behind Chu Yu.

"Did he really say that? In front of Chu Tianxiong?"

"That’s right. I can see that he was really angry, he seemed very reassured like he had a strong backing."

"He treated Xiantian experts with contempt? It’s not faked?"

"This subordinate feels, it should not be fake. He looked very self confident, even a little… En, it really seemed like he was fearless to the point that it seemed arrogant. Yes, arrogant."

"He said that I spoiled his business, to expose his true colours. So he’s angry and wants to settle a debt with me? Keke, I’m not going to give him a change. However, from the looks of it, he should have given the Chu Clan quite some benefits…"

"Little miss, it could also be a threat."

"Eh? Oh ya, now that you talk about it… it could be true! A mysterious expert who could easily kill Invigorated Meridian martial artists, and with such an obstinate personality… Threatening the Chu Clan to accomodate to him, seems very possible."

Xue Ran frowned, "If that’s the case, he seems to still have some hidden cards… He wasn’t driven to desperation by my post, that was a little unexpected."

As she spoke, Xue Ran could not help but laugh faintly, "So what if you still have hidden cards? You definitely don’t understand, this time, because of the Crane Saint’s legacy, many more hidden powers are secretly observing you!"

With that, she turned and faced her follower, "Come, let’s meet Elder Yue!"

It was deep in the night. There were few cars on the street. The weather in the North, despite it being a hot autumn day, had become cool and refreshing in the night.

If it got later, it would even be a little cold.

Chu Yu brought the old weasel out from Chu Tianxiong’s villa. They did not take the underground passage, but walked on the main road out of the city.

Now that someone had white-washed the Chu Clan and himself, Chu Yu was very relaxed.

On the road, he told Old Yellow, "If we meet some undefeatable experts, you should run. Run in the direction of Qing Qiu. We have a contract between us, so I will be able to find you."

"You want to scam someone?" Old Yellow raised his head, and saw as Chu Yu transformed… into the tall and thin Song Hong.

"I want to test my combat abilities!" Chu Yu said simply.
Limitless

Limitless - Chapter 70: Wishes

So what about Song Hong? Legend has it that he is very powerful... is he really very powerful?

Having been sh*t on by Lord Thief previously had driven the clean freak San Sen insane, and he had been bordering on crumbling the past few days.

He needed to vent out all the anger and frustration in his heart!

Who cares who he is!

The only issue was, he chose the wrong guy!

He had met with Chu Yu, who had just attained the great circle of Acupoint Charging

For someone like San Sen, he wasn’t even a match for Chu Yu before Chu Yu went into isolation, and even less so now.

Pa!

A loud sound echoed out!

San Sen’s body twirled on the spot for more than ten rounds before dropping to the ground with a thud. His head smashed into the coffee table and bled. Even though the flesh of an Invigorated Meridian martial artist was tough, upon losing the protection of his power, he was just as weak.

San Sen had been knocked completely unconscious.

Half of his face... was smashed!

Hiss!

Xue Ran took a deep breath of cold air, her gaze filled with awe and shock.

She could not even see how ‘Song Hong’ had attacked!

Feng Ning covered her mouth, her huge watery eyes filled with fear.

They looked at Chu Yu, feeling that this tall and skinny long haired youth was simply too scary!

"Mr. Chu, he hit you before?"

Chu Yu’s expression was icy, his tone strangely calm as he looked on coldly at the comatose San Sen on the floor.

Chu Tianxiong was also shocked by this terrifying display of strength and couldn’t find his tongue.

After some time, he nodded, "Young master Song, it's all in the past, it's no big deal..."

Chu Yu walked over without saying anything else and stamped on San Sen’s leg.

Kacha!

The crisp sound of a bone breaking rang out.

One of San Sen’s calf bone had been broken and his leg was now bent on an awkward position.

Ow!

The comatose San Sen let out a pitiful scream and fainted.

"Enough!" Xue Ran frowned and looked at Chu Yu, "Don't continue anymore!"

"Hm?"

Chu Yu raised his head to look at this beautiful girl, "Who are you?"

"I am Xue Ran, one of the core disciples of the Rainfall Ancient Sect." Xue Ran looked uncomfortable. She took a deep breath and said solemnly, "San Sen is one of the core disciples of the Truth Ancient Sect..."

Truth Ancient Sect?

Chu Yu smiled coldly in his heart: Is there no end to this?

First, Qiu Tianxue had died, and now they're sending another?

"Song Hong’s" battle power had really exceeded anything Xue Ran could have expected.

In the rumors, Song Hong had gotten the Crane Saint’s legacy from the Celestial Fox Immortal Cave. Some said that he passed this to Chu Yu, it would seem that... he didn't?

Upon deeper thought, it seemed to make sense, that was a saint’s legacy afterall!

Furthermore, the legacy of the Pill King Medicinal Saint was for a highly specialized profession.

How many people would let go of it so easily?

Could it be that in such a short period of time, he had already grasped the teachings of the Crane Saint?

Refined some form of superior pill?

Else, how could someone level up this fast in such a short time?

If that was the case, then... the people beside Chu Yu, and that damned bird could have been leveled up by Song Hong!

In this case... Song Hong may be... using Chu Yu to divert the attention away from him!

Yes, this must be it!

Xue Ran felt that she had already seen through Song Hong!

She wasn’t an ordinary person with no experience. Such diversion tactics were not unheard of in the ancient powers.

Furthermore, she knew that the most powerful pill masters in the ancient era could refine a pill that would launch a person straight into the Xiantian realm!

Since the world had just recently recovered, the superior spiritual medicines of the ancient era may be hard to come by. However, if one had the Pill King’s legacy in hand, he may just be able to... refine a superior pill!

This would mean that Chu Yu, was possibly a smoke screen!

A scapegoat... that Song Hong was using to divert the attention of others.

The person who was of value, was Song Hong!

He may have given Chu Yu an incentive, maybe... allowing Chu Yu to return to a cultivable state.

She believed that such an incentive would move Chu Yu!

If that was the case, then Chu Yu was still a relatively useless individual!

Being bright at an early age did not necessitate future success!

Chu Yu was a rare genius back in the day, but after being wasted for 16 years, could he catch up?

Xue Ran thought that the possibility of that was close to none!

As such, Chu Yu was in fact not very valuable, Song Hong... was the valuable one!

When she thought of this, Xue Ran’s heart warmed and her gaze towards "Song Hong" softened greatly.

"So what?" Chu Yu looked at her flatly.

Xue Ran’s voice became much gentler, "Please don’t misunderstand, I may know him, but we are not on the same side.

Feng Ning looked at Xue Ran, visibly confused as she thought to herself, Aren’t you and San Sen allies?

Xue Ran continued, "I feel that you have taught him a lesson and that is sufficient, there is no need to kill him. Killing him would do you no good, young master Song."

"Is there any benefit to me by not killing him?" Chu Yu looked at Xue Ran.

Xue Ran nodded, "Of course, as long as the person is alive, there is room for discussion. I am willing to help young master Song mediate..."

"Haha."

Even before she could finish, Chu Yu grinned, raised his foot, and broke San Sen’s other leg.

This time, San Sen did not have any reaction.

"You..." Xue Ran was furious.

Chu Yu looked at her unhurriedly, "Is that so? Then thank you, I will leave this to you, lady Xue Ran. Please bring him out, and remember to fix the door, thank you."

"..." Xue Ran was exasperated as she looked at Chu Yu, "Why must young master Song be so vicious?"

Even though she had plans to settle this previously, the current state of San Sen made it difficult for her to communicate with the Truth Ancient Sect.

She had initially thought that by being the mediator, she could benefit from both sides.

However, that leg from Song Hong... had completely foiled her masterfully crafted plan.

The feud that would result from San Sen’s broken legs and his smashed face would be huge.

The Truth Ancient Sect would not only hate Song Hong even more, they were likely... to pin Qiu Tianxue’s plan on Song Hong!

This would make things very difficult, Xue Ran frowned inside.

"Yes? Does lady Xue Ran still have any matters?" Chu Yu looked at Xue Ran and asked flatly.

He did not have a good feeling about Xue Ran either. The only person who he knew didn’t have much motive was Feng Ning, who was still stunned.

San Sen and Xue Ran were clearly on the same side, Chu Yu deduced!

THe only difference between them was their preferred mode of execution.

If he was "Chu Yu" and as "wasted" as the rumors said, and he was holding on to the legacy of a saint, he believed that Xue Ran would not be so courteous! There was even a possibility that she would have fought with San Sen over the legacy.

As such, these people had never been in Chu Yu’s good books.

Xue Ran’s busty chest heaved, and then she smiled. This smile had a lightening effect, thawing th ice in the room.

How beautiful!

"Young master Song kills decisively, and you are someone meant for great things. I believe you’re not afraid of a little trouble."

Chu Yu laughed haughtily, "I’ve only been afraid that I don’t have enough trouble."

"Is that so?" Xue Ran was slightly frustrated, "What about the Chu Clan? Young master’s acts here would bring much trouble to the Chu Clan... to Chu Yu, wouldn’t it?

"Haha, lady, you do care a lot about the business of others." Chu Yu replied flatly.

"Ok then, since you’re not scared of trouble, and since Chu Yu is young master’s disciple, you should care for him and carry these troubles yourself."

Xue Ran smiled sweetly, "When I get back, I will help the Chu Clan and Chu Yu get rid of this trouble, I believe that this would please young master Song, after all, you’re not afraid of trouble."

Xue Ran could not help but make it clear to "Song Hong" that he had foiled her masterplan, at the same time, she would foil his masterplan and find trouble for him.

As Xue Ran spoke, she picked up the comatose San Sen in one hand, and a chick in the other and left.

Feng Ning followed suit and left.

Xue Ran stopped at the door, and Feng Ning nearly knocked into her, but she managed to stop hurriedly.

Xue Ran looked back at Chu Yu, "Young master Song, there are many people from the ancient schools who have been looking for you. There is a chance some of them may stop by. If you can’t handle them, you can get the guy beside you to call me, he has my name card."

"I’ll wait for you!"

Xue Ran turned and left thereafter.

Feng Ning, who was following behind, closed the door softly behind her. Before she did, she looked carefully at Chu Yu.

The weasel sat on the sofa, still at a loss.

Chu Tianxiong hesitated for a moment before saying, "She’s smart, a pity that she was fooled by her own intelligence."

As he spoke, Chu Tianxiong smiled, "However, the way she is helping us is pretty interesting."

Chu Yu smiled too, of course he heard the threatening intent of Xue Ran’s words, but he didn’t care!

This was exactly his intent!

He wanted to put all the conflicts, disagreements, focus and gazes... on "Song Hong"/

By doing so, he could ensure the safety of the Chu Clan and himself.

Buying time for him to develop!

At that time, even if Chu Yu regains his power and has great battle prowess, it’ll all make sense.

He has a good senior!

This was exactly what Chu Yu had wanted to do!

Effectively, Xue Ran had given him a huge present and helped him out immensely!

Chu Yu couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity, how could he resist it?

What was funny was that she had thought that this would "force" Song Hong to have no choice but to work with her to guarantee safety.

How naive.

But, Chu Yu liked it.

At this point, the weasel sitting on the sofa seemed to finally understand a bit of what’s going on. It looked at Chu Yu, "Why do I get the feeling that this lady has played right into your hand?"

"Nope, how could I have plotted against someone? She was a smart alec and presented herself to me." Chu Yu said humbly.

The weasel could not help but roll its eyes, slumping back into the couch, speechless. It crossed its legs and held the remote control with its claws. It found an animated movie and began watching it, engrossed.

It even critiqued, "This is more interesting than "action films", at least these have plot, even though they’re a little immature, they win at..."

Chu Yu was exasperated, what the hell is this?

Do all animals like to watch shows that deal with their own kind?
Limitless

Limitless - Chapter 69: Must you hit the face?

When Chu Yu brought the weasel back to the Dragon City, they had barely made it in time for the lighting of lamps in the evening. The roads were packed with cars and pedestrains.

Seeing a human walk alongside a weasel was jarring, and many people looked at them curiously.

Some of them even secretly took out their hand phones to take pictures and pointed at the weasel.

Chu Yu was expressionless, he had already become Song Hong.

He did not care about what others suspected, fact could be fiction just as easily as fiction could be fact.

Only the king knew the truth.

The weasel was also extremely calm, ignoring the gazes of others.

"The air in the city is great, it is close to life, this is the kind of life that the humans should be leading." The weasel’s green eyes blinked as it soaked in the images of the beautiful ladies on the street. It couldn't help but exclaim.

"…"

Beasts who could walk the land and admire pretty girls... were rare.

Chu Yu felt that this shameless weasel could probably give Lord Thief a run for its money.

People's morals are constantly degenerating, people are no longer how they used to be, where is the trust amongst people? Since the girls wear so little outside, why do they still wear anything inside?" The weasel’s green eyes were fixated on a pretty girl wearing a miniskirt.

"Why don't you go die?" Chu Yu couldn't help but roll his eyes.

But Chu Yu felt that this old yellow skin knew a lot of things, and was by no means behind the times, definitely not the kind of demonic beast who had been hiding deep in the mountains.

"Do you come to the human cities often?" Chu YU asked.

"Humans can only improve through continuous learning." The weasel said sternly.

"But you're not human." Chu Yu rebutted.

The weasel rolled its green eyes, "Beasts are the same!"

It looked at Chu Yu, "Actually, I have done quite a bit of research into Island ******, I even have some pristine editions, does master want to observe and learn... no, it should be, judge it?"

"Scram!"

What a shameless weasel!

Extremely shameless!

God damn it, it doesn't even know what it's saying.

Chu Yu did not return to his villa, instead opting to go straight to Chu Tianxiong’s residence.

Chu Tianxiong had told many things to Chu Yu over messages, but he had left out the part where he was humiliated.

He did not want to affect Chu Yu’s judgement, more importantly, he did not want to bring Chu Yu any trouble.

This was because Chu Yu was now a priceless treasure to the entire Chu Clan.

As such, he had advised Chu Yu over text not to come back.

There were simply too many people looking for Chu Yu!

Some of them were so influential that Chu Tianxiong feared that there would be accidents.

Even though Chu Yu wasn’t a bigot, he really wanted to see the abilities of the best of the ancient schools.

However, since he had already morphed into Song Hong, he had decided to use this opportunity to quell some of his problems.

Chu Yu believed that his movements should have already been registered in the eyes of many.

Chu Yu pressed the doorbell, and Chu Tianxiong himself opened the door.

When he saw Chu Yu, he was initially stunned, as if he was thinking about something, and he totally missed out on the weasel behind Chu Yu.

"Ay, young master Song, why are you here? The current state of things in the Dragon City is complicated, you shouldn’t come!" Chu Tianxiong’s expression was one of impatience, but his heart gushed with warmth.

Unity, not leaving others behind, not giving up, going through thick and thin together!

That was the basic character of all the Chu Clan disciples.

"Quickly come in." Chu Tianxiong said. Then he saw the weasel and looked dazedly at Chu Yu.

"Our own." Chu Yu nodded.

The weasel followed behind Chu Yu, having heard what Chu Yu just said, it felt a wave of warmth in his heart.

Even though it felt that Chu Yu was quite a b*stard and inhumane, sometimes... it seemed... that he was ok?

Mm, still ok!

At the very least, he treated his own companions decently!

The weasel thought to itself as it smiled teethily at Chu Tianxiong, "Hello there!"

Chu Tianxiong’s expression was strange, as he thought to himself, Chu Yu seems to like adopting pets, seems to be a compassionate guy.

If this was heard by the weasel or Lord Thief, they would faint.

This b*stard likes adopting animals? Has compassion?

He has as much compassion as a strand of fur!

More like he loves bullying cute and adorable animals.

When they entered the room, the two men and the weasel took their seats.

"Tell me about the overall situation." Chu Yu could sense Chu Tianxiong’s impatience. As of now, his ability to sense was strong and this sensing had almost become telegnosis.

He could even feel Chu Tianxiong’s anger and humiliation.

"I believe you have seen all the news, and a large number of ancient schools have begun to enter society, and many of them have chosen China. However, there are a minority who have chosen to set up overseas. Some of these schools overseas are also powerful, but at this current moment, everyone is focused on improving their abilities."

"The web has many people trying to cause trouble for the Chu Clan and young master Song, the Xie Clan is the most suspicious."

"Many ancient schools’ best disciples have come to the Dragon City, they think that young master Song and his disciple Chu Yu... have gotten the Crane Saint’s legacy.

"Xiao Yue also seems to have some emergency, she sent me a message and left. I haven’t heard from her in days, Xiaoxiao says her phone is switched off."

Chu Tianxiong summarized the scenario to Chu Yu in one breath.

"I know about Xiao Yue’s problems, afterwards, I will make a trip to Qing Qiu. Since she is someone on my junior’s side, I will take care of her." Chu Yu continued, "The rest of the things, since I am here, i will settle them quickly!"

"Young master..." Chu Tianxiong started to speak before holding back.

"Just speak your mind."

"Then I shall." Chu Tianxiong sighed, "I just found out that Xiao Yue is a Qing Qiu, if that is the case, then in my opinion, that’s all the more reason for you to stay out of it.

"I will participate using this identity." Chu Yu said.

"..." Chu Tianxiong laughed bitterly, "Do you know that the people looking for young master Song now... far exceed those looking for Chu Yu?"

"We shall see later, I, Song Hong, have a strong sense of justice." Chu Yu spoke rubbish with a serious face.

The weasel was lost in the conversation and it looked at Chu Yu, rather dazed.

Chu Tianxiong shook his head while smiling bitterly, "In other news, the people who have been coming down to find us, they are all..."

As he spoke, the door to his villa was once again opened!

The door to the villa was locked, and Chu Tianxiong had just checked, but in the eyes of a highly cultivated martial artist, that was meaningless.

With such power, he could simply push the door open, or he could use his energy to open the cylinders inside.

A lock was child’s play to such people.

San Sen, Xue Ran and Feng Ning returned.

Chu Tianxiong’s expression changed, he had not managed to tell Chu Yu about this. Just as he was about to, these people appeared again.

San Sen did not look good, just a few days ago, Lord Thief had sh*t on his head, and dirties his hands.

Even though it was a few days ago, and he had taken multiple showers, he still felt that his head and hands smelled like bird sh*t.

How disgusting!

This feeling had tortured San Sen to insanity.

Xue Ran and Feng Ning were calm, especially Xue Ran, quietly sizing up "Song Hong", almost like she was appreciating an art piece.

Feng Ning was dazed, the only reason why she was with the other two was because of her birth.

She was entrusted to Xue Ran, and was supposed to follow her to see the world.

Xue Ran and San Sen were allies, but their relationship was not strong.

Everyone was just in it for their own benefits.

San Sen looked at Chu Yu and laughed coldly, "Why? No longer hiding? Finally willing to crawl out?"

As he spoke, he saw the weasel on the couch and his expression turned to one of mocking, "Trash is trash, all he can do is play with rubbish like sparrows and weasels.

"Doll face, are you looking for trouble?" The weasel was enraged, its eyes glaring at San Sen.

San Sen did not say anything else, a wave of Invigorated Meridian Energy exploding outwards.

The strong wave of power surged towards the weasel.

The weasel was shocked, only now did it realize that this youth had such an ability.

However, it was not scared as it thought to itself, just wait and see how I’ll torture you after!

Chu Tianxiong paled, he did not think that Chu Yu would take action against these people.

Even though he was being suppressed by the spiritual energy around San Sen, he said coldly, "Young master Song is the saint’s son in an ancient sect! Chu Yu’s sister Chu Xi is a disciple of Tai Qing..."

At such a crucial moment, Chu Tianxiong’s ability to bullsh*t was not bad, he could even come up with a term used only to describe the most talented in the ancient era.

Only the descendants of saints, and only the best of the best, can be known as the sons of saints.

When the catastrophe hit, all the descendants of saints had long left.

After 60 million years, how many descendants of saints were there? And how many of them could be known as the sons of saints?

As such, San Sen did not care about it and looked mockingly at Chu Tianxiong.

"Ha! Son of a Saint? How scary! Trash, doesn’t your face hurt anymore? That slap I gave you didn’t hurt?"

When Chu Yu heard San Sen say "doesn’t your face hurt anymore", a raging fire had burned in his heart.

He now knew where Chu Tianxiong’s fury and humiliation had come from.

He looked coldly at San Sen.

"Disciple of Tai Qing... how scary!" San Sen raised his head, aloof, and looked at Chu Tianxiong out of the corner of his eye, "Don’t you know... who I am?"

"You’re an idiot."

Chu Yu, who was looking on coldly, replied.

"Damn it, you’re looking for death..." San Sen launched an attack on Chu Yu as he spoke!

He raised his hand and directed it at Chu Yu’s face!

The only way to gain satisfaction was to hit someone’s face!

"Ah!" Feng Ning couldn’t help but gasp, "No... he is not Chu Yu! He is Song Hong!"

Xue Ran hesitated, but didn’t try to stop it.

She had known from the start that this person was not Chu Yu, but was the mysterious powerhouse from the legends - Song Hong!

The only reason why she didn’t remind San Sen was because she had heard that Song Hong was an Acupoint Charging martial artist. As such, she wanted to know what was the battle power of the legendary Song Hong.

San Sen’s power had already reached Invigorated Meridian Stage Three.

He had broken through three of his meridians.

A majestic force flowed within the three meridians, gushing like a large river, sprinting and snarling.

The power in this slap was not little. Any ordinary human would have been seriously injured.

San Sen heard Feng Ning’s reminder, but he only hesitated for a moment without stopping his attack.

He had a ferocious look on his face as he viciously... slapped at Chu Yu!

Limitless - Chapter 68: Great Circle Of Acupoint Charging

Chu Yu had been confined in this stone cave for nearly a month.

In this one month, he did not sleep nor rest; he was continuously cultivating. He did not have time to shower or shave; his hair and beard was growing like crazy, his body was about to turn sour.

It looked no different from a caveman

However, the waves of force exuded from Chu Yu’s body, was especially terrifying!

Following his cultivation, Chu Yu discovered that the sealing power from his vertical eye can be activated or de-activated according to his thoughts.

That meant to say, if he wanted to, he could choose to release his terrifying waves of force!

The current Chu Yu, was simply brimming with blood energy!

His entire body seemed like the searing hot sun.The amount of blood energy he was giving off, could fill an ocean!

Here, he did not have any cover or concealment; so all of this was thoroughly released.

The big weasel guarding outside the cave had been spending its days filled with shock.

It was completely unable to fathom, how was a person able to breakthrough so fast?

It was not an inexperienced newbie. On the contrary, it was extremely knowledgeable!

It had lived from the Mid-Qing Dynasty all the way to now; that was already close to 300 years!

Once, it even stayed in a scholar’s house for over 10 years. Everyday, it would secretly eavesdrop on his lessons, gaining a lot of knowledge.

It was just that during that time, it did not dare to reveal itself for it knew that its intelligence would not be accepted by the commoners.

All the way till 30 over years ago, the world suddenly changed and spiritual energy was revitalised. Its cultivation also suddenly soared rapidly. In these recent years, it would spend a few months every year to run to the mortal world, learning new knowledge.

The weasel would always tell itself: I might be a beast, but I’m called a demon. Still, I need to have a heart to seek constant improvement!

Thus, many new things that other spiritual beasts might be unaware of, were actually known by this weasel at the back of its hand.

The weaseal was very clear, those martial artists in the mortal world, even if they were geniuses, were definitely unable to be like his master… In one month, his cultivation had already gotten so scary.

Now, it wasn’t even clear exactly what realm Chu Yu was in!

Because those waves of power and ripples of blood energy, were truly too outrageous.

Even though there were seperated by a heavy stone door, shivers were still sent down its spine.

It seems… Being able to follow this man, was a good fortune ah!

Needless to say, a freak is still a freak. This weasel’s attitude suddenly became incredibly good.

The power to open his own acupoints, was definitely able to leave countless of people ashamed.

Within the stone cave.

Chu Yu examined himself internally, his mood could not help but get uplifted. Now, he was only left with one acupoint!

All the opened acupoints were brimming with intense power.

Among which, the 365 true acupoints were the most powerful!

The other acupoints were only secondary.

On internal inspection, all these acupoints seemed to be glowing with radiance.

If the human body was a cosmos, then these acupoints were like the stars and constellations!

The current Chu Yu, was filled with these bright stars!

If he wanted to, these stars will radiate with incomparably dazzling light. Each of these light, would contain a monstrous amount of power!

After he opened the final acupoint… what will happen?

Chu Yu calmed down, circulated the power within his body, and directly charged straight to the final acupoint!

Boom!

It was like dam had been breached! Or like the eruption of a volcano!

It seemed like tons of water had turned into a torrent, irresistably flooding out.

It was also like molten lava under the earth, gushing out of a volcano!

This was an unimaginable amount of power!

Boundless blood energy also erupted along with Chu Yu.

Peng!

The giant rock blocking the stone cave suddenly exploded!

It was disintegrated into dust, shooting off in all directions!

Even the weasel, which was slightly far away, had almost been hit by the debri, and it rushed to get away. It turned back and stared at the stone cave in panic, uncertain over what had just happened.

"What happened? Did his body implode under cultivation deviation? Where’s the blood?"

The weasel mumbled to itsel. All of a sudden, a human figure walked out from the dust. That figure was radiating with boundless blood energy, it was like a human-shaped sun!

It clearly wasn’t releasing any light, but the figure was blinding!

This was the qualitative change of the Great Circle of Acupoint Charging!

Chu Yu knew that his decision to stay after opening his 12 stages of true acupoints, had been correct!

"My god…" The weasel’s face was blank. "Did he f*cking become a cultivator?"

You couldn’t blame the weasel for its shock. The blood energy radiating from Chu Yu’s body was simply too stunning.

There’s this ancient folk phrase: Young people must be full of blood energy.

This ‘blood energy’ was actually referring to the vigor of a young person.

Blood energy is different from the vital blood in the body; vital blood was an actual physical substance, while blood energy was illusory, it could be felt but it could not be seen.

Typically, cultivators were incredibly sensitive to blood energy. Demonic beasts, like this big weasel, were especially sensitive.

In this vast forest, it was not as though this old weasel hadn’t met any strong existences.

Deep within DaXing’AnLing, there lived an old bear.

Over tens of years ago, that old bear had already reached the pinnacle of the Invigorated Meridian Realm.

All the demonic beasts within a radius of thousand miles could be considered the little brothers of that old bear.

There was once the old bear was celebrating his birthday; countless of demonic beasts had come to pay their respects. All of sudden, a fierce tiger that was also at the peak of Invigorated Meridian Realm clashed with the old bear.

When they were fightint, the old bear and the fierce tiger were erupting with surging blood energy.

Their blood energy was oppressive like an ocean, even from far away, other demonic beasts like the old weasel were left trembling, unable to move.

That battle seemed like it was just yesterday. Although many years had past, it still didn’t forget it.

Today, it actually experienced that same feeling as those years ago!

But compared to those years ago, this old weasel had already become much stronger. However, that feeling did not change!

It could even faintly feel, his master’s blood energy, was even stronger than that old bear!

"Aiyo, my god… This is heaven defying ah!"

The old weasel blinked its small, green-bean sized eyes and started sprinting. It stopped in front of Chu Yu and exclaimed, "Master, what realm are you in? Could it be… you’ve entered the Xiantian realm?"

Chu Yu looked at it and said, "Acupoint Charging."

"Ind…" The weasel was about to say "indeed", but it quickly swallowed its words. It laughed dryly, "Master, you must be kidding. Your power is comparable to a Xiantian cultivator. How could it be the Acupoint Charging Realm?"

"Is there a river?" Chu Yu couldn’t be bothered about it.

Spending one month without showering, coupled with his continuous breakthroughs, had lef to large amounts of impurities to be expelled and deposited on his body.

Chu Yu even felt like his entire body was a pile of rubbish.

"River?" The old weasel blinked its eyes, "Master, you must not be too rash…"

Chu Yu kicked it aside, "Don’t talk nonsense, I just want to bathe!"

"Ahhh, bathe ah…" Only now did the old weasel notice Chu Yu’s ragged appearance. Just now, it was too emotional, and it didn’t care about this.

Its nose twitched twice, adn the old weasel could not help but that two steps back. With a sour face, it said, "I know a place, it’s a hot spring…"

"Hurry and bring me over!" Chu Yu glared at it.

Half an hour later, Chu Yu walked out, refreshed.

After changing to another set of clothes from his storage ring, he shaved himself cleanly. However, he left his hair untouched..

His hair was long and flowing, giving of the impression of a comic book character.

"I’m going." Chu Yu said while looking at the weasel.

"Then what about me?" The old weasel started wagging its tail as it looked at Chu Yu.

"You can continue to be the king of the mountain ah!" Chu Yu laughed.

"I don’t want that ah, you are my king ah! You can’t just leave me here ah." A tear drop emerged at the corner of the weasel’s eye, it ran over and started hugging Chu Yu’s leg.

Chu Yu kicked it away, then glared at it, " You can follow me, but you better be honest. Don’t do anything dishonest or sly."

Thinking about that Lord Thief, Chu Yu did not want another similar character around him.

What if they formed a gang of animals and started commiting crimes, that would be a headache.

"Master, you can rest assured. I’ve never committed any dishonest acts. All that is just a misunderstanding towards us weasels, a misunderstanding ah!"

When the old weasel saw that Chu Yu had promised to take it with him, it was instantly excited and ecstatic.

On the way back, to please Chu Yu, the old weasel revealed many secrets.

In this area, which encompassed DaXing’AnLing, there might be an ancient ruin.

However, Chu Yu was in a rush to go back, so he first etched these information in his heart. When he had time, he would thnk about it.

Chu Yu sprinted along with the old weasel; his speed was simply too terrifying.

Running at full speed, he could feel his blood roiling, and his power surging. If he jumped suddenly, he could even jump over a small mountain!

It felt like he was flying.

For a usual martial artist at the Small Circle of Acupoint Charging, he could roughly attain a speed of Mach 1.

At Invigorated Meridian Stage 1, he could roughly reach Mach 2.

When one reached the peak of the Invigorated Meridian Realm, his speed would at least be Mach 7!

This sort of speed, was indeed faster than flying.

There was no wonder why strong martial artists could be seen as Earth Gods during ancient times.

And Chu Yu… after stepping into the Great Circle of Acupoint Charging, his true power was still unknown.

But his speed, had already reached the level of a Small Circle of Invigorated Meridain!

His full speed was already faster than Mach 7!

That meant to say, he was faster than flight!

Leaving the mountainous area of DaXing’AnLing, the old weasel could not help but turn back. IT had lived here for countless of years, it had already developed feelings for this place.

But for his dream, it did not hesitate to leave!

For that dream, it was willing to do anything. Not just having integrity, it didn’t even mind losing its virginity…

After leaving the mountains, Chu Yu switched on his phone. Large amounts of messages came rushing in like a river.

Chu Yu read through them rapidly. After reading, he puckered his lips and continued to run with an indifferent expression.

The old weasel seemed to have felt something. It glanced at Chu Yu cautiously, and eagerly followed behind him.

Library of Heaven's Path - Chapter 50: Peer

“That’s simple!” Oblivious to the shock and the thoughts going through the minds of others, Zhang Xuan smiled. “Even though the Chi Xiong is known for its invincible defense, its body is streamlined like a sharp sword. It specializes in quick assaults and overcomes its opponents through speed rather than strength! From this, it can be inferred that its disposition should be that of a sharp sword rather than a heavy mountain. Given how the painter got the disposition of the savage beast wrong, it is clear to see that it is an interpretation.”

Master Lu Chen’s body swayed.

It wasn’t that the other party was inaccurate in his appraisal, but he was too accurate in it!

All along, he had thought that since the Chi Xiong was known for its invincible defense, its disposition should be heavy like a mountain. The reminder from the youngster made him recall an introduction on the savage beast from a book. It mentioned that it was extremely fast, killing its opponent without even revealing itself. This was precisely the reason why very few people have seen its true form!

One of the greatest taboos of a painter was to mistake the disposition their painting should carry. If even the disposition was unfitting for the subject, then even the most valuable of paintings would be reduced to trash. Zhang Xuan was already sparing his pride by saying that the painting wasn’t bad, instead of saying something more extreme.

“Excellent! Incredible!” With his face flushed red with excitement, Master Lu Chen expressed his high appraisal of Zhang Xuan.

If it was just a single painting, it was possible that it might just be luck or coincidence. However, to see the crux behind two different paintings in an instant, he could confidently say that the youngster before him might look young, but he was a true master painter!

His skills could only be superior to his own!

It was easy to make friends, but it was hard to find a soulmate. Throughout his career as a painter, he was unable to find an equal in the entire Tianxuan Kingdom. Usually, when he deciphered a painting to others, they would only respond to it perfunctorily and instead, focus their efforts on praising him. No one was able to truly understand the essence of those paintings, needless to say, point out the flaws in them.

This was precisely the reason why he felt desolate, and often opened up his residence to encourage diligent juniors in the hope that there would be someone to succeed him.

At this moment, upon meeting someone who was able to point out the flaws and weaknesses of a painting, he felt as though he had met a soulmate. How could he not be delighted over it?

If not for his strong will and self-control, he might have leapt in joy on the spot.

Seeing the master so exuberant, Huang Yu and Bai Xun no longer bickered and stared at one another. Their eyes widened into complete circles, almost popping out from their heads.

They have been acquainted with this master since young. He was always calm, and no matter what came in his way, he never allowed it to interfere with his mind. The last time the emperor sent some servants to deliver the 【Harsh Lands Night Illumination Pearl】 to him, a gift that was worth a king’s ransom, he didn’t even take a look at it before ordering a servant to keep it in the warehouse.

Yet, a casual answer from the young man left him in such a state… Could it be that his words were true?

At this point, the two of them shot their gazes towards the young man. However, no matter how they stared at him, he looked nothing but ordinary to them.

“Xiao Yu, aren’t you going to introduce this gongzi to me?”

While she was still struck with bewilderment, Master Lu Chen’s words echoed in the room.

“Introduce? He…” Upon being questioned, Huang Yu was taken aback. Only now did she realize that she had not asked for the other party’s name. Her face turned red and she scratched her head awkwardly as she turned towards Zhang Xuan and asked, “Ah, right, what is your name…”

Hearing these words, Bai Xun, who was sitting beside her, looked constipated.

Just a moment ago, he was still overwhelmed by jealousy, thinking that someone had beaten him to his goddess, causing the urge to beat up this youngster to well up in him. Only now did he realize that… Huang Yu didn’t even know his name!

If only he knew earlier, he wouldn’t have gotten so angry over nothing.

However, his dilemma didn’t end here. Immediately after, he heard Master Lu Chen’s angry voice, “What do you mean by he! No decorum at all! This little brother here is a peer of mine, you will have to address him as a master in the future!”

“Peer?”

This time, not only Huang Yu and Bai Xun felt lightheaded, even the butler Uncle Cheng froze in shock. The three of them stared at Zhang Xuan as though they were looking at a monster.

[What kind of standing does Master Lu Chen possess?

Emperor Shen Zhui’s teacher, a true emperor’s tutor!

There isn’t a single person in the entire kingdom who dares to claim to be his peer. If one were to do it, it would mean that one is claiming to be the senior of the country’s emperor!

For a person of such standing to view a youngster who isn’t even twenty as a fellow peer of his? Surely I am hearing things?]

“Didn’t you all hear my words?”

Seeing the two of them in a daze, Lu Chen chastised them again.

“Yes!” Bai Xun and Huang Yu hurriedly bowed. “Paying respect to the master!”

“There is no need to be so formal!” Zhang Xuan didn’t expect Lu Chen to be so polite. He nodded his head helplessly and said, “I am Zhang Xuan. I just happen to understand master’s paintings out of coincidence. I am not fitting of the title of a master!”

“So it is little brother Zhang Xuan. You can’t put it like that, manners are manners! You are able to see through the flaws in my work with just a glance, this means that you are well-versed in paintings, and you possess an exceptional eye for them. If you aren’t worthy of the title of master with your standards, wouldn’t that mean that I am unable to live up to my title as a master as well?” Lu Chen said.

Zhang Xuan laughed dryly.

It was true that he was able to point the flaws in the paintings, but that wasn’t because of his abilities in that aspect. He only made use of the cheat called “Library of Heaven’s Path”.

Without this, needless to say appraising it, he might be scratching his head with a confused expression, unable to even identify what was being drawn.

“Alright, stop being so polite. Feel free to reprimand these juniors when you meet them in the future!”

Unsure about what Zhang Xuan was thinking about, Lu Chen casually said.

“Juniors? Feel free to reprimand?”

Bai Xun and Huang Yu were on the verge of crying.

[The heck, we are around the same age and yet you became a senior of our grandfather’s generation in an instant… Dude, you are way too formidable!]

Ignoring the despondent duo, Master Lu Chen looked over in puzzlement, “Little brother, to follow Xiao Yu here, you probably aren’t here for leisure. May I ask what is it that you require my help on?”

“I have heard that master has a wide collection of books. The reason why I am here today is to find some Fighter 6-dan cultivation technique manuals to browse through…”

Hearing Master Lu Chen questioned his purpose, Zhang Xuan hurriedly replied.

The main aim of his journey here was this, so he mustn’t let this opportunity slip by.

“My collection of books is quite vast, but they are mainly on painting. I do not possess many books on cultivation techniques here. As for those on Fighter 6-dan, I only have a couple of them. They are in my study. Come, I will bring you over to take a look!”

Hearing his purpose, Master Lu Chen stroked his beard with a smile and stood up.

“Laoye, your study…” The butler Uncle Cheng quickly walked forward and asked questioningly.

Laoye‘s study did possess quite a lot of one-of-a-kind limited edition books, and each of them were extremely valuable. He had never allowed any outsiders to enter his study, and even Emperor Shen Zhui was blocked at the door when he came the previous time!

There was a maid who wasn’t aware of the rules and ran in to clean the room. In the end, she was beaten to death!

This was precisely the reason why the study of the Lu residence was the forbidden zone within forbidden zones, and no one dared to enter it…

Yet, laoye intended to bring in a young man whom he had just met, leaving him at a loss.

“The reason why I don’t allow others to enter my study is for fear that they would afflict it with their vulgarity. Little brother Zhang Xuan is a fellow peer of mine and a master painter. It is an honor of mine to have him enter to offer me some pointers. There is no reason for me to stop him from entering at all.”

Master Lu Chen’s face darkened.

“Yes!” Uncle Cheng retreated in a fluster.

He might be ignorant about painting, but even he was able to tell at this point that there wasn’t a single error in the appraisal of the young man!

Otherwise, it was impossible for laoye‘s attitude to do a 180 degree turn and act so amiably.

“Let’s go!”

Master Lu Chen led the way while Zhang Xuan followed behind him. After a moment, they reached a wide room. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

As expected of a master whom Huang Yu was full of praises for, the collection of books in his study was massive. All kinds of manuals filled the shelves, and there were at least hundreds of thousands of books here. Zhang Xuan felt as though he had walked into a library.

Walking between the shelves while taking a casual look, it was exactly as the other party said. The books were all about painting, and there were barely any on cultivation techniques and martial arts.

“Those about cultivation techniques are over here. There are only a handful of them. They were left behind from back when I was still cultivating!”

Master Lu Chen introduced with a smile as he brought Zhang Xuan towards the corner of the study.
