True Martial World - Chapter 947: A Sword Through Nirvana!

Chi Zhuiyun immediately became the focus of attention.

As for Yi Yun's voice, it constantly echoed throughout the desolate plains.

Only after Yi Yun's voice faded away did Chi Zhuiyun slowly speak. His voice wasn't loud, but it was easily able to suppress the din from millions of people, reaching the ears of everyone.

"You want to challenge me alone?"

Chi Zhuiyun's words were like he was of supreme stature, with a condescending arrogance.

"Hahahaha!" Chi Zhuiyun burst out laughing. "To continue to challenge me after experiencing an intense battle, you are really biting off more than you can chew!"

As Chi Zhuiyun spoke, he stood up from his seat of honor. Putting his hand out, his spear landed in his palm.

He turned around and looked at Luo Huo'er, who was sitting on a seat of honor as well. "You know that you will lose to me, so you aren't going to fight?"

"Tch!" Luo Huo'er scoffed. "Who do you think you are? Does every genius of the alliance revolve around you? You think that we want to engage in a tag-team battle? Today, Yi Yun alone will battle you so that you won't come up with excuses after losing!"

Luo Huo'er was merciless in her mockery, but the crowd was secretly horrified when they heard her. Luo Huo'er was too bold with her words!

In fact, even though many members of the Luo clan were cheering for Yi Yun, they were actually a little flustered. With Luo Huo’er saying such things, how was she going to get out of the situation if they lost in the end?

"Princess Purple Spirit, your words seem certain that Zhuiyun will lose? Is it because of Yi Yun?" The person who spoke was Yu Tianfeng. It was like he had heard the funniest joke in the world.

Luo Huo'er could not be bothered with the retard as she looked at Yi Yun and sent a voice transmission. "Little Yun, I'm counting on you. I've already helped you take the step forward."

Yi Yun was speechless. "You have so much confidence in me, but you don't even know the limits to my strength, right?"

"I really do not know. In a while, if you were to lose, we will be bearing the brunt of it together, so I hope that you can give me a pleasant surprise." Luo Huo'er said nonchalantly. She always had such a rash personality. So what if they lost?

When Yi Yun heard Luo Huo'er's words, a smile flashed in his eyes. "Alright!"

"Since you want to challenge me, I'll grant you your wish!" As Chi Zhuiyun spoke, he took a step out into the void, and he walked towards Yi Yun, who was standing in the middle of the arena!

Every step he took caused fluctuations in the void, like it was the rhythm of the Dao.

It was tens of thousands of feet away from the seats of honor to where Yi Yun was in the middle of the arena. However, in a few steps, Chi Zhuiyun had already landed in the arena, just a hundred feet away from Yi Yun.

"If you and Purple Spirit had joined forces to fight me one after another, I might have to be slightly serious. But now... if I'm just dealing with you alone, the War Demon Form is sufficient!"

War Demon Form?

No one understood what War Demon Form Chi Zhuiyun was referring to, but without a doubt, it was definitely not Chi Zhuiyun's full strength.

Yi Yun laughed and said, "Really? Usually, people who say such things raise death flags and die even faster."

The conversation between the two was sharp and biting, stirring the emotions of the audience.

This was exactly what it meant to be young and crazy!

"Cut the nonsense!"

Chi Zhuiyun raised his spear as his Shura Domain spread out!

In an instant, a crimson patch emanated from beneath Chi Zhuiyun's feet, instantly engulfing the entire arena!

This sanguine energy enveloped Chi Zhuiyun and his spear. There were countless phantom images of wraiths and demons struggling and wiggling above the spear as they emitted intermittent howling and wailing.

For such a scene to appear suddenly in the eyes of millions of warriors, it was like Chi Zhuiyun had charged out of a hellish prison!

Even as spectators, they felt a sense of horror when they saw such a scene.

"It's Chi Zhuiyun's Shura Dao Domain!"

In the eyes of everyone, it was as if the entire southern desolate mountain plains had disappeared. There was only Chi Zhuiyun in this world, like he was the center of the universe, the source of all massacres! Just looking at him made people feel like they were lost in nightmares, unable to extricate themselves.

Just a Dao Domain alone had enveloped millions of people, impeding their mental processes. Chi Zhuiyun's Shura Dao Domain was simply amazing!

"Yi Yun has been engulfed by the Dao Domain!"

"Say, it seems that Yi Yun has yet to demonstrate his own Dao Domain!"

People thought about it carefully, and indeed, Yi Yun still did not have a Dao Domain. A Dao Domain was the attainment of a certain nomological cultivation level. It was able to affect the surrounding space, forming a small world.

Dao Domain was a realm of Dao, but Dao Domains might not be suitable to be used in battle because a Dao Domain itself did not have any offensive capabilities.

Even the members of the Luo clan had to admit that Chi Zhuiyun's Shura Dao Domain was terrifying. It was like it permeated all of existence, slaughtering gods and killing buddhas, like the entire world had fallen into darkness!

As for Yi Yun, he had been engulfed by the darkness. In their perception, they could not even locate Yi Yun anymore.

The members of the Luo clan felt their hearts tighten. If Yi Yun was completely suppressed by Chi Zhuiyun's Dao Domain, there was no need to carry on the fight.

And at that moment —

"Whew!"

A dazzling light flashed as pure Yang flames burst out from the darkness and shot straight towards Chi Zhuiyun like it was the light of dawn that pierced through the twilight.

This was a sword beam that pierced the heart.

Pure Yang Sword Intent!

Back then, the Pure Yang Sword Palace owner had used this strike to cleave a Great World apart, and now, in Yi Yun's hand, this strike pierced through the Shura Dao Domain, moving forward in the darkness in an indomitable fashion!

Weng!

When Chi Zhuiyun thrust his spear forward like a dragon, the swirling wraiths lingering around the crimson spear headed straight for Yi Yun!

An intense clash between spear and sword beams!

Boom!

With an explosion, the wraiths were consumed by the pure Yang flames, vanishing into nothingness!

"Not bad! But in my domain, the power of bloodlust that I have is endless. I want to see how much you can burn!"

As Chi Zhuiyun spoke, he stirred the clouds and the wind with his spear. The wraiths that were incinerated by the pure Yang flames crawled out once again. They struggled to come together and they increased in size, like they were emanating a devilish fire.

This is…

It was alarming. How could they reappear again after being burnt to ash by the pure Yang flames?

This was probably what they meant by the resurgence of dying embers.

What Chi Zhuiyun said that the power of bloodlust was endless in the Shura Domain was nothing but the truth!

If the power of bloodlust could constantly be reborn, how were these demons going to be vanquished?

The crowd began to worry for Yi Yun.

At that moment, the demons had combined with each other to form a war demon that had bare fangs protruding out of a hideous face in front of Chi Zhuiyun. The war demon went from a genuflection before slowly standing up. Its body was hundreds of feet tall, and in front of Yi Yun, it resembled a small mountain.

"Roar!"

The war demon suddenly gave an angry bellow.

The angry roar caused the minds of the warriors present to quiver, as their lifeblood churned in turmoil.

What is that!?

"War Demon Form!"

Chi Zhuiyun hooked his spear up and immediately, a sea of blood was stirred!

At the same time, the terrifying war demon raised the spear in its hand, its actions identical to Chi Zhuiyun.

Like a gigantic pillar, the spear was thrust ruthlessly at Yi Yun. Thick bloodlust caused the surrounding air to turn viscous and sticky.

"It's time for your defeat!"

The spear struck out as the world faded in color!

"Just nice!"

At that moment, Yi Yun struck out with his sword as well.

The rusty broken sword, a lonely figure, charged at the war demon, like a moth heading into the fire.

However, just as Yi Yun was about to clash with the war demon's spear, a dazzling brilliance burst out from behind him!

The Golden Crow screeched as the Nine Neonate howled!

Boom!

An explosive clash immediately caused a shockwave to burst out into the surroundings.

In the sky above Yi Yun, shockwaves burst out incessantly, penetrating the clouds, and leaving a gigantic hole above the arena in the desolate plains.

It was just the beginning of that single strike.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Both sides exchanged attacks again and again. Terrifying power and astounding speed were possessed by the two figures as thunder-like claps echoed from their exchanges!

It was so fast that the warriors spectating the battle found it overwhelming.

They held their breaths as their hearts leaped to their throats.

"Yi Yun doesn't have a Dao Domain, but every one of his nomological sword strikes is able to cleave the Shura Dao Domain in front of him apart," said Bai Yueqing.

Chu Yunjian was also surprised seeing this battle. In the previous battles, Yi Yun did not even use his true strength. The speed at which his sword was slashed and the power in his strikes were too amazing. It had assumed formlessness. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

However, Yi Yun's cultivation realm was lower than Chi Zhuiyun's. If they continued to expend their energies in such a manner, the road ahead for Yi Yun would be bleak. The crux of the matter was that Chi Zhuiyun's Shura Dao Domain's bloodlust power was endless.

If this continued on, Yi Yun would be lacking in stamina.

At that moment, a desolate aura suddenly surged out of the Shura Domain!

Yi Yun was calm, as an ancient and lifeless concept was augmented on his sword.

This strike thrust straight at Chi Zhuiyun and accompanying it was a stance of the soteriological annihilation of everything!

Ka-cha!

The broken sword clashed with the gigantic war demon's spear, and time seemed to freeze at that moment!

A crisp crack sounded, like a mirror breaking. The war demon and its spear appeared like a statue that had experienced eons in an instant.

First, it turned gray before shattering, and finally, it was reduced to smithereens!

Withering concept — A Sword Through Nirvana!

In front of time, even a demon would wither and decay. A demon could be reborn after being slain, but once they turned to ash because of time, they would experience complete nirvana.

With the war demon soteriologically annihilated, Yi Yun's sword maintained a slashing pose, but there were no longer any barriers. His sword was aiming straight at Chi Zhuiyun!
True Martial World

True Martial World - Chapter 946: The direction in which the sword points

After Yi Yun defeated Tianya Haoyue, there was a moment of silence before deafening cheers came from the surrounding Luo clan warriors.

"Yi Yun!"

"Yi Yun!"

To the Luo clan warriors, the battle that just happened in the southern desolate mountain plains was truly rousing. The dark clouds that came from Chi Zhuiyun's declaration of sweeping the Luo clan was wiped clean!

Yi Yun and Luo Huo'er had defeated Tianya Haoyue and goddess Xi Ye respectively. They could be called the Luo clan’s Gemini Gods of War!

Furthermore, people realized that not only was Yi Yun powerful, even the sword in his hand was extraordinary. With that sword, Yi Yun had managed to slash through the Dragon's Roar Purple Armor that should not have been broken in the Dao Manifestation realm.

"I wonder what history Yi Yun's sword has… " Someone asked curiously.

However, people shook their heads in response to this person's question. An elder with quite an impressive cultivation level said, "Since the weapon that Yi Yun has has been corroded so badly, it must be a weapon left behind from primordial eras! However, there are just too many divine weapons from primordial eras. The 12 Empyrean Heavens is so large, so to suddenly reveal one of them, who can guess its history. Many weapons exist in books of legend, having existed for hundreds of millions of years, or even billions of years. They might be buried in a ruin, yet to be discovered. The day that it sees the light of day again, those who had seen such a divine weapon might have already been dead for dozens of generations. It's impossible to recognize them based on the description in records, unless one knows where the ruin was and infer based on the ruin's history."

"That's right! If there is a precise location of the ruin, especially if the ruin's master leaves behind notes or cultivation manuals, only then is there a chance to barely infer from those materials. However, over billions of years, the description in the books might not all be true." Another elder said.

Although they had inferred that the weapon in Yi Yun's hand was of primordial origin, it was apparent that Yi Yun's strength was lacking for entering a primordial ruin in an escapade.

Then, the most likely possibility was that a mighty figure had taken the sword out of the primordial ruin, and eventually died from age or an accident, leaving behind a new ruin. Such an event might happen several times, and for some reason, this sword had eventually landed in Yi Yun's hands.

In that case, trying to probe its origins was truly nearly impossible. Of course, its power was beyond doubt.

"This should have been an opportunity that Yi Yun encountered. Only a genius with providence augmented on him can go further. If our Luo clan wants to become strong, we have to try our best to nurture and protect such a genius."

The Luo clan had existed in the Ten Thousand Fey Empyrean Heaven for a very long time, but compared to a Divine Lord level faction, the Luo clan was still greatly lacking. And now, with the Fey Phantasm Sect looming in the horizon, it threatened the survival of the Luo clan. At such a juncture, the Luo clan had to use whatever hidden capabilities it has. If not, it was not impossible that the Fey Phantasm Sect would wipe them out.

...

At that moment, Tianya Haoyue, who had been knocked unconscious by the brick, had been hastily removed from the arena by people from the World Margin Sect. However, Yi Yun remained standing on the arena, while cheers continued!

As one of the Luo clan's Gemini Gods of War, Yi Yun's popularity surged, with him nearly catching up to Luo Huo'er.

Now, the Luo clan had already defeated the Eternal Eventide Sea and World Margin Sect, leaving only the Oracle Fey Kingdom, which also had the strongest person, Chi Zhuiyun.

Chi Zhuiyun had obtained the approval of Felicitous Rain Lord and he had previously defeated Princess White Fox. Furthermore, people could tell that Chi Zhuiyun had yet to go all out.

He was able to defeat Princess White Fox without doing his best. In addition to how he had defeated a White Fox clan genius that had been famous for a very long time, Chu Yunjian who was at the Dao Manifestation realm, Chi Zhuiyun's strength was unfathomable.

Now, the two genius of the Luo clan, Luo Huo'er and Yi Yun, were going to fight Chi Zhuiyun, but the members of the Luo clan were still uncertain.

What was the limit of Chi Zhuiyun's strength, considering how his cultivation level had reached half-step Dao Manifestation?

Many people had such questions in mind, but the outcome would be revealed almost immediately. The only people who remained undefeated was Luo Huo'er, Yi Yun and Chi Zhuiyun. Regardless of it was Luo Huo'er or Yi Yun, the fight any one of them had with Chi Zhuiyun was enough to send ardor and zeal coursing through their blood!

"Princess Purple Spirit will fight first. Maybe Princess Purple Spirit will be able to defeat Chi Zhuiyun!"

"Don't be too optimistic. Although I adore Princess Purple Spirit, truthfully, the feeling that Chi Zhuiyun gives me is that he's very strong. That person is unfathomable, or else why do you think that Felicitous Rain Lord would approve of him? It is Felicitous Rain Lord, an important person that leaves even our Luo clan's Third Imperial Uncle in the dust!"

In fact, during Luo Huo'er's battle with Xi Ye and the battle between Yi Yun and Tianya Haoyue, many people had observed Chi Zhuiyun's reaction. From the beginning to the end, he did not reveal any looks of surprise. It was like everything was well within his grasp!

Especially in the seats of honor, Chu Yunjian and Prince Crimson Firmament had been monitoring Chi Zhuiyun from the very beginning. The way that Chi Zhuiyun remained so calm and composed, having that expression like he was confident about facing any sudden turmoil, was extremely irritating. But at the same time, it also cast a dark cloud over them.

A possibility for Chi Zhuiyun to remain so calm could very be that Luo Huo'er and Yi Yun's strength had never exceeded his expectations. He had the ability to deal with them!

"According to the rules, Princess Purple Spirit will fight Chi Zhuiyun first! Princess Purple Spirit is extremely gifted, but her cultivation level and age are her disadvantage. Even if Princess Purple Spirit is no match for Chi Zhuiyun, she will be able to drastically expend Chi Zhuiyun's stamina. In the following match, it would be Yi Yun, and he should be on par with Princess Purple Spirit in terms of strength. With the two of them fighting one after another, I don't believe that Chi Zhuiyun would remain undefeated!"

A few Luo clan courtiers discussed in private. Although Emperor Luo and Empress Luo were not present, it was only because they needed to consider their stature. For such an important showdown, everyone in the Luo clan attached a great importance with it, so the Luo clan courtiers naturally would not be absent. They were only standing amongst the ordinary spectators, without revealing their identities.

Chi Zhuiyun wanted to sweep through the geniuses of the Luo clan with his blatant challenge, so he certainly had to accept challenges by the Luo clan geniuses one after another. Since the rules were as such, there was nothing about it being unfair!

"It should be Chi Zhuiyun and Princess Purple Spirit's turn now."

The Luo clan courtiers discussed in private, but they realized that Yi Yun remained in the arena.

"What is Yi Yun doing?"

Many people failed to understand.

"Hmph! That punk probably has never experienced the cheers coming from millions of people and he is probably intoxicated by it!" In the seats of honor, Oracle Fey Kingdom's ambassador, Yu Tianfeng said disdainfully.

As long as Yi Yun remained in the arena, the fervent audience of the Luo clan would not stop with their cheers. Each burst was louder than the previous one, like it was a tsunami or landslide!

With millions of people watching the duels, the battles allowed one to make a name of oneself. Millions of warriors were cheering, reverberating the lands, tearing through the cosmos!

Such glory was the dream of countless people!

At that moment, it was Yi Yun's new peak in life, but it was not necessarily a good thing for young people. The moment that one was intoxicated in it, it was easy to lose oneself and make it difficult to extricate oneself from the situation. It might even put a halt to any progress!

Yu Tianfeng apparently had such a thought as he said with a sneer, "That punk has only defeated an arrogant man from the World Margin Sect, and he thinks he's the strongest in the world? He has probably forgotten who he is. He has immersed himself in the cheers for nearly a minute. How long does he want to stand there?"

Yu Tianfeng's words were not said with a voice transmission, so Chu Yunjian, Prince Crimson Firmament, Bai Yueqing and company, who were sitting in the seats of honor, heard him clearly.

Prince Crimson Firmament's face sank. Although he disliked Yi Yun, he was very irritated by the way that Yu Tianfeng spoke.

"Huo'er, it's time for you to go on up. Tell Yi Yun to return. Standing there for too long isn't good." Prince Crimson Firmament did not want Yi Yun to continue standing there either. It would illustrate that the Luo clan geniuses were overly arrogant. Now, there was exuberance, but if Yi Yun was to be defeated by Chi Zhuiyun later, it would disgrace the Luo clan completely. When the time came, the irritating Yu Tianfeng would jump out and say something like "All of you shouted too fervently, in the end, he's not even able to withstand a hit".

"Get Yi Yun to return? The reason why Yi Yun hasn't returned is because his conversing with me in a transmission!"

When Luo Huo'er said this, Yu Tianfeng guffawed and said, "Right! It's best to discuss how to expend Zhuiyun’s stamina. If the two of you work well together, there might be that glimmer of hope. Everyone should always have hope, shouldn't they?" Yu Tianfeng said with a teasing tone as Luo Huo'er's eyebrows pricked up.

She gave Yu Tianfeng a teasing look as her lips moved slightly, as she transmitted her voice to Yi Yun: "Little Yun, proceed as you proposed."

"Alright!" On the arena, Yi Yun gave a heavy nod.

At that moment, the arena in the vast wilderness had an audience of millions who were in fervor!

Yi Yun stood proudly amid the millions of cheers, and at that moment, Yi Yun was extremely ready!

Suddenly, he lifted his sword and pointed it straight at Chi Zhuiyun!

"Chi Zhuiyun! I'll be the only one battling you today! Come on down!" Yi Yun's roar echoed in the vast wilderness, abruptly drowning out the cheers from the millions of people!

"Come on down!"

"Come on down!"

"Come on down!"

...

The loud voice reverberated again and again as millions of people held their breath. The cheers had also come to an abrupt halt.

Yi Yun was planning on challenging Chi Zhuiyun alone today!?

Millions of pairs of eyes instantly gathered on Chi Zhuiyun who was sitting on a seat of honor!

Dual Sword God - Chapter 86: The Strange White Cocoon? A Spark that Leads the Way!

The Gloomy Forest had become 'lively,' as a fierce pursuit was in progression. Hordes of fiends swiftly traversed the wild forestry, moving between the trees and tall grasses. Some of them even tunneling through the earth at high speeds while others flew high above the forest with their wings, utterly unaffected by the harsh downpour leaving no stones unturned.

Rumble! As they tore through the forest inch by inch to find their target, the environment began to shake as if a magnitude ten earthquake was devastating it. The weaker creatures who lingered in the fields quickly made way, as they took off in all directions causing a stampede that further added to this chaotic scene.

The Squad Leader and the Ghoulfiends who saw this scene up close became stunned, as they quickly made way to avoid the chaos. After they escaped the range of the danger, the Squad Leader then looked towards the location of the pursuit and frowned while he spoke, "Damn! So, they found the human the that Tribe Leader is chasing. This beast tide also isn't a good sign, I have to head back to camp and warn the elder."

As he finished his words, he nodded towards the squad members and moved towards the direction of the camp at full speed. The Ghoulfiend squad members swiftly following by his side, not even bothering to waste any time to contact the odd Ghoulfiend outside of the party, as if they had unanimously agreed to leave him behind in this chaotic scene.

Feng Yu was confused; he didn't know whether it was his identity that had been compromised or it was another trial participant that had entered the Central Regions alone due to their poor luck. So, he wasted no time as he quickly transformed into a streak of lightning that beamed towards a distant place.

Soon, he found a very well hidden cave in the distance that would usually have not been visible to even the keenest of hawks. However, the Pheonix was said to have eyes unlike no other, and as a plus, he had a substantial amount of cave hideaway experience.

Swoosh! His figure vanished into the darkness behind clusters of thick bushes, he then will for one of his swords from his Storage Ring and slashed randomly towards the ceiling of its exit.

Bang! Following a loud bang, groups of rock soon after collapsed completely closing the entry passage of the cave. If one looked from the outside, however, they would see nothing unusual as stones had perfectly melded with its surroundings.

Phew! A beam of blue light shot from the sky and materialized into the form of a blue creature that hovered silently above this area. It was a small female with blue water-like wings that had cyan scales all overhear body; she wore a set of revealing of clothing made of leaves that covered only the most private of sections on her small form.

An Aqua Nymph, small beautiful creatures that despite their cute nature was actually the most dangerous fiends in this forest. They are a Fiend Race that was of the middle-class harmful to all who cross their path.

The Aqua Nymph looked around the region of the forest with the deep gaze as if she could trace the whereabouts of all who hid within the rains water. Quickly, she swept her eyes across the cluster of bushes that covered rocks leading to Feng Yu's hideaway cave.

Carefully inspecting it for a moment, she then shook her head and flapped her wind fling towards another location of the forestry. The chaos behind her quickly catching up to this region as the pursing fiends lay waste to all things within their path while scoured these lands.

*******

Inside of the Feng Yu's new cave hideaway.

As Feng Yu hide in the darkness, he couldn't help but curse to himself as thought about his predicament, "Damn! Will I have to keep on hiding in these caves every time I go on a journey?! If this is the case, why do I even bother? I should just simply give up the mundane and become a caveman[1]!"

He then snapped his fingers causing a flame to appear before his eyes that lit up the cave. The light cleared away a majority of the dark scene, causing Feng Yu's downcast mood to liven up. He looked around the cave to pass his time of boredom, seeing nothing interesting he was about to focus on cultivating with the energies of this world but was soon distracted by a strange sight.

It was a white slick-like cloth that wrapped around a form like a caterpillar. Vaguely, the sound of a heartbeat could be heard as it pulsated at a slightly irregular interval. Feng Yu instantly became cautious as he noticed this strange thing, he sent a wisp of semi-condensed spiritual power towards the slick and instant became shocked.

"This silk is actually hair?! What in this earth is this creature? Why is did it have to be in my hideaway?" Feng Yu felt conflicted as he did not know what kind of creature slept within this hair cocoon, and he had no way out as both the angry fiends and the force beast tide had arrived at this region.

However, soon his worries became for naught. A strange unknown power began to spread from the cocoon as if it was inviting him to touch its surface, unknown to even Feng Yu himself he already walked towards the cocoon in a dazed manner soon placing his palms against its surface.

Buzz! A strange power soon after started to flow from Feng Yu's hand as it flowed inside of the cocoon, deep inside was a small white-haired female child that had a pale face as if she had lost all her blood. Her thumb held in her mouth and eyes closed to the world outside. As the scarlet-golden colored energy from Feng Yu's body flow between the hairy channels, it was quickly devoured by the small girl inside.

If one looked carefully, they would see that upon absorbing the energy from Feng Yu the body of the small female had started to change. Her body grew by a small percentage as the paleness of her skin began to regain some color, a little wristband that was on her wrist glowed brightly before it disappeared and reappeared around Feng Yu's arm.

Quickly, the strange power faded as Feng Yu returned to normal. However, there was no look of confusion in his eyes. He simply calmly gazed at the cocoon before his eyes as if he could see the figure beneath its surface and spoke in a soft tone, "So it was you... sigh, fine. I will help you out seeing that you have helped me out this time."

Upon saying this, he couldn't help but cast his moved his sight towards the artifact that was now on his wrist. He smiled as he looked towards the collapsed entrance of the cave as if he could see the scene outside and spoke confidently, "With this, my mission just became a whole lot easier. Matuk I wonder what expression you'll make when you see the destruction of your camp!"

His eyes gleaming in a sharp murderous light that threatened to cut apart the air itself. Unknownst to him, however, was that his half-step sword intent had also striven further towards the path of achieving true sword intent.

******

It was a deep pit, or rather a large crack in the earth, one whose depths remained unseen as it stretched across the endless horizon. The sound of rushing water echoed below this massive gorge, but it was too far below the surface to see.

Still, these were not the only peculiarities of this place.

Crackle! Ka-bang! A massive amount of snake-like thunderbolts and electrical lights danced about the entirety of this gorge as they randomly bombarded the walls and any lifeform for that matter that dared to travel between their channel.

At the bottom of this gorge and the sea of lightning was a massive water channel, with chunks of large rocks scattered about its surface. These rocks grew from under the water channel and acted like tempory landmasses for those who traveled through the place.

A beautiful young female could be seen seated on one of these small landmasses, her hair was parted into two sides with two long braids reaching all the way down to her ankles; she wore a black shenyi with golden sleeves with white wrappings around her arms and also her feet that were inside a pair of decored sandals. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Xin Qing looked at the scene before her eyes with a desolate expression, her eyes were misty as she felt helpless and she complained, "No! Why have I been sent here? I want to go back send me back!"

As if the Thunderbolts were disturbed by her manner, they rumbled and released their fury.

BANG! One massive bolt of thunder shot its way towards the small landmass that Xin Qing was on with full momentum, not even giving her the time to scream. She could only look at the bolt of lightning that will soon bring her to her doom. Vaguely, a sense of peace arose with her heart as the bolt of lightning overlapped with a familiar form.

Soon though, she realized that this time it wasn't and random fantasy.

A tall blue haired young man with a broad back stood before her body, with his large conical hat covering most of his chiseled face and black qigong robes that had to symbol of 'Dawn's Wing' on its front side and back.

The devastating thunderbolt dousing his form as if it was trying to wash his body, painting him in a godlike manner. Soon, the thunder dispersed, and young man cracked his neck side and side and complained, "Tsskk--! And here I thought I could get a good spark from this bolt."

As if he realized something, he turned around and looked towards the dazed female before him in surprise as he spoke, "Eh? Well, isn't it Miss... ah... I mean fellow Daoist Qing! How did you get here?"

Xin Qing who was still in shock couldn't help but snicker as she woke from her daze upon hearing his words, she spoke teasingly with a bright light shining her bright eyes, "Puihei~! So, the famous Blue Thunder Dai Lin loses his words when speaking to girls! This will make great news if it's passed on to the empire..."

Dai Lin hearing this felt puzzled as he thought to himself, "This isn't good! Can't let my title get destroyed over some silly mistake now can I? I should play it safe and try to change the topic she certainly wouldn't go that far," He then scratched the back of his head before speaking to Xin Qing, "Haha! I don't believe a beautiful lady such as yourself would stoop so low as to play this poor retainer. What happened to y---"

However, as he tried to change the topic, before he could finish his words he was quickly interrupted by Xin Qing who spoke in a serious but playful tone, "Want to bet?!" A steady light was shining her eyes.

Dai Lin seeing this felt uneasy, he quickly tried to find a compromise, "Ok Miss Qing! you win, state your demands!"

Xin Qing seeing Dai Lin compromise felt happy, she picked her self up from the ground and walked to his front before declaring, "From now on, you are going to be this lady's spark. You will guide me safely out of this place and if you do well, I will not only keep my lips sealed but also grant you a special surprise~!"

Dai Lin frowned for a bit as he heard her words, but after pondering about it for a short while, he smiled and responded, "If it is the young lady's wish, I shall oblige!"

Xin Qing felt happy when she heard Dai Lin's words, but soon she started to frown. She looked towards Dai Lin and hesitated a bit before giving one more command, "Al... Also, I want you to call me by a different name."

Dai Lin hearing hear stutter for a bit smiled as he thought to himself, "Ah, how cute.." He responded, "How shall address the young lady?"

Xin Qing paused for a moment before she gripped her fists tightly and looked him straight into the eyes before speaking in a soft tone, "Call me Qing'er..."

Her voice resounding throughout the narrow passage, soon after fading away by the rushing stream and rumbling thunderbolts...
Dual Sword God

Dual Sword God - Chapter 85: The Scorched Battlefield, Feng Yu's Plan!

The world was scorched black, as a sea of flames had consumed most of this region. Plumes of smoke rising to the air, as a waft of roasted flesh tickled the noses of all beings within its vicinity. Carefully looking at this devasted land, one would see a series of craters shaped in an unusual form, seeming to have been made by giant palms that pressed into the earth and blades that ruptured the land.

A scene that one could describe as 'the end,' resting in each of these craters were parts of odd creatures that had hardly recognizable blue skin. Their bodies burnt mostly to cinders, with the remnants remaining in scorched pieces. Their leggings-like armors mostly ruined along with any good weapons on their persons. Still, a few of the lucky ones had managed to stay intact and were stacked into piles located in remote corners of this ravaged battlefield.

The previous chilliness of the dense smog, replaced by a blazing air that burnt away all hidden beneath its covering. The time of dawn had long passed, moving the day steadily towards its peak. Now, a small group of humans could be seen moving about busily in this dreaded blazing field.

"Heave-Ho!" The group of practitioners yelled in unison, while they pull a massive dual bladed halberd wrapped with large chains from the corpse of a humongous creature. The chains made 'clink-clink' noises as they drew across the ground pulled the halberd at a steady pace towards a new stack of weapons.

A man looking at this scene couldn't help smile and shook his head in a depressed manner, as he spoke, "Sigh, who would have thought that these strange weapons wouldn't compatible with our Storage Ring's? Oh well, that halberd should be the last of these weapons it's time to report to the leaders."

As he finished his words, the man turned around and walked towards a tent located a few dozen meters away. While walking, he couldn't help but look at the ever burning flames and destroyed with a solemn expression as he thought to himself, "Such powerful monsters, these guys are certainly not humans. I thought I'd seen it all at battles against the Soul Eater Ghostfiends, but it seems as though we had only seen the tip of the iceberg."

While the man walked and contemplated, he soon arrived at the entrance of the tent. However, before he could voice his arrival, he was interrupted.

"Enter!" The voice of Xun Yanshan said.

Not wasting any time, the man promptly responded by entering and politely bowing his head to the two forms seated around a small table. He spoke, "Leader Xun and Leader Nei, this one has come to report on the collection of those strange weapons. We have successfully gathered all usable remnants that weren't destroyed by the battle."

As Xun Yanshan heard this, he nodded his head and replied, "Good work! Rally the remainder of our men and prepare, for we shall march towards the Central Regions once again."

"Yes, Leader Xun!" The man replied, as he dismissed himself from the tent and headed towards the groups of practitioners.

Nei Sinian who sat around the table looked towards Xun Yanshan and flicked his index finger. Within moments, a chart or rather a map explaining the battlefield zones in detail appear before their eyes.

He then moved his finger towards a part of the map surround by a large red circle and spoke in a calm voice, "If we keep following this route on the chart, we should arrive at the entrance of the Central Regions the 'Center of All Zones' in about six months. The Ancient Dragon Battlefield Wars usually continues for no more than a year. So, we have to make the best of use of the remaining time to gather as much war points that possibly can."

Xun Yanshan hearing this replied, "Em. Let's hope that we can also find those brats while traveling this route."

Nei Sinian hearing this shook his head silently, he then looked towards an open section of the tent where far in the distance. A silhouette of a floating Fortress could be seen slowly traveling towards the distant parts of the Interior Regions.

Following Nei Sinian's sight, Xun Yanshan also revealed a pensive expression as he spoke once more, "I'm sure those guys already have their plans regarding the disappearances of these kids. It also doesn't look like they are partaking in this Mystic Realm Trial for treasures as they immediately left after destroying these fiends. I wonder, what's their main purpose for coming here?"

Hearing Xun Yanshan's words, Nei Sinian replied, "It is useless to ponder the unknown, let's get moving." As he said this, slowly got up from his chair and walked outside of the tent. Xun Yanshan seeing this shook his head, he waved his hand causing the tent to vanish returning to his Storage Ring and promptly followed along.

At the summits of the sky, a Mansion-like Fortress floated in the air. The emblem of the Pheonix hanging high atop walls which used to be a gate, and its courtyards remaining in the same design as it would on land.

It traveled at a slow and steady pace as it made its way towards the Central Regions, moving as if those on the inside did not feel the need to hurry.

Inside of the main building, within a large hall, were a group of the Feng Clan's core officials and elders. They were seated quietly listening to the discussion of the two men sitting at the principal seats.

"Junling, why did you send did you send Elder Chen along with Elder Duan to search for Yu'er and his friends? We are already short enough on manpower as it is, not to mention the fact that we had to use most of the energy crystals to power this artifact so it could even reach zone!" Feng Yunlong asked with a hint of annoyance in his tone.

"If we didn't use the energy crystals we would have never been able to traverse those two zones in the only a day's time. Now that we have arrived at this Foggy Zone we can be said to have cleared the most pressing issue of distance. Traveling at this speed is enough for us to arrive at the entrance in 6 or so months. There is no need to rush, we can use this extra time to derive more of our bloodline's potential and hastening the recovery of our strengths. The energies here are of a higher grade than those on the outside by two times. Hence, it should make our recovery increase by two-folds." Feng Junling replied in a calm and collected manner, as he played with a small black and white spheroid in his palms.

He then looked towards Feng Yunlong and spoke once again in ambiguous tone, "As for the circumstances regarding Elder Chen, do you really want 'that' Elder Duan alone to go and search for the kids?"

Feng Yunlong hearing him mention 'that' Elder Duan revealed a pensive expression. After some time, he sighed and replied in acceptance,"Sigh, fine then. I suppose sending Elder Chen wasn't a bad idea."

"Good! Now what we should focus on is recovering our strengths to as much as we possibly can while collection points true these zones we pass by. That Variant Heiferfiend wasn't too bad, but It was not good either. Its weapon was useless to use practitioners as we use a different kind of energy in our world and its war points were almost negligible since it was shared." Feng Junling said as he smiled and waved his hand causing the small black and white spheroid to disappear.

Feng Yunlong replied, "Em. Indeed it was..." He then looked towards the core members and officials and spoke once in a solemn tone, "I want you all to do your utmost to gathering points, as we will require many to gather these resources our clan needs. All Crimson-Mask Soldier units will take the frontlines from now on as all core family bloodline members should focus on unraveling more your strengths! Dismiss!"

The clan officials and core elders hearing his words bowed and replied in unison, "Understood!"

They then got up from their seats, and orderly made their way outside of the man hall, leaving behind only the forms of Feng Yunlong and Feng Junling.

Seeing that the room was now empty, Feng Yunlong asked, "How is Xingyu feeling now?"

Feng Junling hearing his question answered with a slightly concerned expression on his face, "She is fine, it's only... she's been having these strange dreams since she arrived in this realm."

"Father had always kept the details about her body's true circumstances unclear. Sigh, I wonder, what could be the problem?" Feng Yunlong said in a concerned tone.

"I don't know, but we have to use any means necessary to find out." Feng Junling replied in a firm tone, as a bright gleam shone at the depths eyes.

"Em." Feng Yunlong said as they both looked towards the garden of roses in a separate courtyard.

Central Regions, Endless Rain Zone, within the Gloomy Forest.

The day was now at its peak, but the gloom of this forest was neverending. The constant down continued to drench the land, washing away all signs of hope.

A group of dark furred wolfmen with gleaming yellow eyes and sharp fangs were cautiously traversing the forest. Their human-like bodies hunched over as they slowly walked through the wild bushes that grew between the trees, as they moved forward they would swiftly and silently break apart the tall grasses that shrouded their sights.

As they moved, they would occasionally use their noses and ears to check the environment for unexpected circumstances. However, today they were doomed no matter how cautiously they scanned the wilds.

Sou! Sou! Sou!

Instantly, a group of Ghoulfiends beamed from out of the underbrushes completely catching the wolfmen off guard. Their sharp claws tore through the chest of the wolfmen causing a fountain of blood to paint a small section of the forest.

"Aroouu!" A few of the wolfmen tried to resist as they called upon their dark powers and charged towards the Ghoulfeinds in a frenzied manner. Their form quickly turning into remnant shades with no accurate direction for their assaults, soon, a few of the Ghoulfiends had succumbed to injuries.

However, before they could gain the upper hand, they were swiftly beheaded by the Elite Ghoulfiend Hunting Squad Leader. The forest now momentarily becoming filled with a bloody flavor.

"Chet! This troublesomeDark Wolfmen Tribe, always sneaking about our territory." The Squad Leader said as he scanned the corpses of the Dark Wolfmen. Behind him, the other Ghoulfiends had started to look around the environment for possible threats due to the previous bloody scene.

However, one odd Ghoulfiend stood to the side silently as if nothing in the world was worth its time. The Squad Leader who had now finished counting the corpses of the wolfmen looked towards his squad members and nodded; he was pleased with their swift and efficient performance. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

He then looked towards the form of the lone Ghoulfiend standing in the corner of the field and commanded with a tone of anger, "You there! What are you doing standing around?! Get to work and gather the corpses! You will drag them back to the camp to aid in the on-going ritual!"

As Feng Yu heard his command, he promptly reacted by waving his hands in a sign of compliance. The Squad Leader didn't pay him any further attention and rallied the remaining squad of Ghoulfiends to head back to the camp.

Feng Yu seeing this scene remained indifferent, he then looked towards the corpses and frowned while thinking to himself, "This isn't going well two days are remaining to complete the mission, and I still haven't found a good plan to sabotage this ritual. What's the best option? There must be a way---"

As Feng Yu was lost in his thoughts, he was soon disturbed by one of the Dark Wolfmen that was bearly still alive.

"Cough! Cough! Da...mn, M...a...t...u...k and his... t...r..i..b..e..." The Dark Wolfman said, as coughed out a large amount of blood shortly after passing away.

Feng Yu hearing his words couldn't help but reveal a thoughtful expression for a moment, but soon, he expression changed to that of excitement as a cunning light shone in his eyes. He muttered softly, "Since I lack the power to change the situation myself, why not use the power of others? I will 'fight fire with fire,' using Fiends against Fiends."

As he was excited in his new chain of thought, he promptly began to collect the corpses from the ground. However, as he was about to finish this task, there was a sudden commotion from the direction the Hunting Squad Leader and the Ghoulfiends went.

"The human was last seen over there! Quickly find and capture it!" A powerful sounding voice said as it echoed throughout the area despite the harsh rain.

As Feng Yu heard this, he became shocked and subconsciously replied, "What?!"

His voice drowned out but the downpour that added to the tense atmosphere that was about to unfold.
Dual Sword God

Dual Sword God - Chapter 84: The Mystical Fortress of Battlefield?!

Ancient Dragon Battlefield, Interior Regions, within the Foggy Zone.

The air was hazy, as a dense fog shrouded the land for as far as the eye could see. It was a pale mist, one that carried a chilling coldness within, seeping through the thickest of cloaks and most versatile of armors.

As dawn's light peered through the thick mist of this environment one would see outlines of structures, that were broken or missing sections. A few larger structures even had strange deformations looking as if they had been grabbed and used as weapons.

A variety of corpses rested on the grounds of these forsaken lands each belonging to both humanity and fiendkind. However, if one looked carefully at these corpses, they would realize that a few of them had recently been added to this field within the mist.

Their blood was mostly faded and frozen below layers of ice and dirt, as their bodies were ruptured and pierced with many different wounds of certain standards. A few of them even had broken weapons plunged deeply into the flesh, with the remaining edges sticking out of their bodies gleaming in a sharp light.

A stifling silence pervaded over this region, as only the sound of a brisk wind could be heard gently blowing across the desolated battlefield. Soon though, there came a change...

It started out low, progressing bit by bit with its volume rising at a constant pace.

Step-step-step-step!

A combination of footsteps could now be heard throughout the area, giving this pale atmosphere a tinge of life. The steps echoes continued to grow louder as their source drew closer and closer with each passing second. It could be inferred that the speed at which these individuals were moving was not slow but similar to an army at full charge.

Soon, their battle cries could be heard along with the noise of their running footsteps.

"Charge!"

"Kill the humans and sever their heads! We must claim victory for our Zone Commander!"

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Instantly, a series of silhouettes could be seen quickly traversing through these foggy lands. They bore different sizes ranging from heights of taller than normal humans and giant-like beings.

Soon, the forms of these individuals charging towards the misty unknown became clearer, as they numbered in the thousands. The dirt from the desolate field formed dust clouds that added further confusion and obscurity to their forms hidden away by these dense mists.

They were creatures with blue skin and muscular bodies with broadheads that had two cow-like horns at both sides of their foreheads; each wore a similar kind of armor being made to cover only their lower bodies leaving their upper parts bear. Their 'legging's' style armors were engraved with tree swirly markings like this '~' each of which was positioned horizontally in a parallel manner.

While charging towards the now vaguely recognizable silhouettes of their enemies, their eyes gleamed in a fiendish light indicating the very essence of their true nature.

Heiferfiends, a low-class fiend race said to possible an incredibly brutal nature as they tend to fight wildly without any regard to friend or foe. Standing proudly behind this large group was a ten-meter tall Heiferfiend, garbed in similar but unique looking armor with large gold chains hanging around its neck and strange golden markings on its upper body.

A Variant Heiferfiend with a battle power no weaker than a middle-class fiend. It raised a dual bladed halbert that was even larger than itself, with fresh blood dripping from both its edges as yelled, "Leave none alive!" Its thick hair swaying wildly behind its back with the rise of the chilly winds.

Four similarly large Hieferfiends stood silently by both of its sides, calmly observing the charging troop of fiends in the foggy battlefield.

As the Hieferfiend Army was closing in on those distant silhouettes, they also started to become visible. A large group of humans could now be seen rushing towards the Heiferfiend Army from the opposing side, with each of their steps drowned out by the massive Hieferfiend army charge.

However, their roars were just as loud as the opposing group of fiends.

"The men of the Imperial Zang Clan fears no danger! Charge forwards and kill these fiends!" A familiar sounding voice said.

"Kill--!" The ground of humans yelled as they charged forwards in unison, each garbed in different styles of robes representing two different kinds of influences.

Looking beyond the thick mist, one would see the figure of a man who wore decorated robes with an emblem of a golden dragon hung around his neck standing beside another individual. He was a silent man whose entire body was mostly covered with various types of cloths, his bald head vaguely visible due to its sheen, and eyes due to their deep luster.

Xun Yanshan stood calmly on the top of a broken structure that towered over the land, his robes flapping with the movement of the wind. After he gave his command to the practitioners from all parties, he looked towards the densely clothed man and spoke in a weary tone, "Sigh, we've been battling these waves for two days now, and our already small troops are dwindling. If we don't find a way to break through this wave of fiends and kill their commander, forget about finding our missing brats we will not even be able to make it the Central Regions."

Nei Sinian squinted his eyes and spoke as he carefully observed the silhouette of the Variant Hieferfiend behind the approaching fiend army, "There is no sense in worrying over the unknown for both Dong child, and your empires geniuses should be capable of handling themselves. What you should be concerned about is that large guy over there, for even if we do clear this wave, we will be in big trouble battling against him."

As Xun Yanshand heard this, his expression grew more severe as he looked towards the figure with a pensive gaze. Soon though, he cleared his thoughts and spoke to Nei Sinian once again, "You're right, it won't be easy getting a handle on that Variant Heiferfiend. It looks as if it will be even more trouble compared to that Fei Tan we fought against."

"Well, that is to be expected for its battle power should be similar to that of an elite middle-class fiendkin," Nei Sinian replied as he his eyes showed a hint of fear.

Fiendkind, they are a dark race said to come from 'outskirts' of the endless void. They are said to have been born as combatants without the need to cultivate, as such upon being born they blessed with powers of average practitioners some being stronger than most. As they age and grow to adulthood, their powers grow accordingly. The older the fiend, the more powerful they are likely to be, as even their spans are several folds that of humanity.

These beings are powerful, but not all of them are born equal, their talents and potentials are gauged by their races which are divided into low, middle, high, and finally top-class fiends. Low-class fiends are generally as powerful as ordinary practitioners, while the others are as follows:

Middle-class fiends are born with First Layer Battle Prestige, with the strongest among them capable of achieving Pseudo-Second Layer Battle Prestige. High-class fiends are born with Second Layer Battle Prestige, with the strongest among them capable of attaining Pseudo-Third Layer Battle Prestige.

Finally, top-class fiends are born with Third Layer Battle Prestige, with the strongest among them capable of achieving Pseudo-Transcended Layer Battle Prestige. These types of fiends are typically referred to as the Chosen Fiends, being geniuses that are if not comparable greater than True Bloodline Successors of Supreme Tier Bloodlines and Supreme Warriors War Saint Heritages.

However, while this is typically used to grade the potential of fiends usually limited by their races. There are a few fiends that are born in defiance of there limited class; they are called Variant Fiends, beings capable of achieving the Battle Prestige of a higher-class solely due to their distinctive natures.

Legend speaks of a class above all these, but that is a story for another time...

Xun Yanshan who heard Nei Sinians reply about Fei Tan couldn't help but frown as he spoke, "Indeed, a troublesome fellow, sigh. It's times like these I don't mind the help of that damn Midnight Temple or rather, Midnight Hall passionate," As he said this, he couldn't help but recall the figure of Yin Shuye.

"No time to complain, the armies are about to clash we need to join in to reduce our small troops casualties," Nei Sinian said in a calm and collected tone, a powerful rush of mental power soon after covered his form created a semi-transparent war giant with a battle mace that rushed towards the opposing side with great strides.

"Chet! Fine, no point complaining now can we!" Xun Yanshan said as he transformed into a golden beam of light the crashed straight into a section of the opposing troops.

Ka-Boom! A devasting explosion soon followed which created a shockwave that only managed to push a few of the fiends back, the remainder of the Heiferfiends continued to rush forwards wildly with utter disregard for their lives.

One warrior realm elite Heiferfiend beside the Variant Heiferfiend quickly rushed forwards as it collided with the form of Xun Yanshan blasting him away from the central section of the troops.

Boom-boom-boom! Their blows creating ripples as they wildly battled on a now distance side of the battlefield. As the slower approaching war giant of Nei Sinian was closing in on the troops, another warrior realm elite at the side of Variant Heiferfiend swiftly charged forwards obstructing his path causing him to be embroiled into a fierce struggle.

It was a bloody battle, as both armies collided with each other instantly creating a string of causalities. While most of the troops dead belong to the Hieferfiends, they were quickly replaced by the vast stream of Heiferfiends causing the pressure and casualties on the side of Golden Dragon Imperial Clan and Southern Revolution Faction's group to increase by the passing of time.

One man broke apart the chest of Heiferfiend with a strike of his palm martial skill. However, before he could rejoice, his skull was smashed to pieces by the same Hieferfiend who used its hands to attack wildly clapping them together as if he was clapping a fly.

With the brain matter falling to the ground from its bloody palms, the Heiferfiend swiftly continued its reckless charge not caring about the hand of the man was plunged deep into its chest, or the weight of his body that was still attached to it, swinging its arms violently towards any who came in its reach.

A few other similar scenarios could be seen occurring to the struggling humans battling against this wild troop.

Xun Yanshan seeing this from a distance as he fought the Warrior realm Hiefterfiend frowned, as he cursed, "Damn! If it weren't for these blasted fiends, the casualties would be lower. How could these seemingly normal wingmen be so strong!"

Nei Sinian seeing this knitted his brows for a moment before passing a mental message to the mind practitioners, "What are you doing?! Quickly use the <Mental Barrier Arms Sutra> to reduce the casualties!"

Quickly heeding their leader's command, the group of mental practitioners rapidly chanted a strange set of words in unison. Soon, a semi-transparent barrier form around all of the humans bodies causing the casualties to stop.

The Variant Heiferfiend seeing this frowned as it spoke, "Oh? Well, they were mental practitioners in the mix. Its been so long since I last saw such rare humanities if I recall correctly, the last Ancient Dragon Battlefield War had no such practitioners within. Good! I will add their bones to my collection."

He then looked towards the two remaining large Heiferfeinds by its side and commanded, "Both of you quickly destroy this troops remainders."

As the two by its side heard its command, they responded promptly responded as they rushed towards the opposing human's side, "As the leader commands!"

The Variant Heiferfiend then looked towards the small armor battling the endless troops with a look of disdain in its eyes as it though to itself, "We have prolonged the battle for an unnecessarily long time, the Zone Commanders of the Central Regions should already be heading to Center of all Zones. These weaklings are certainly not the strongest of the humans gathered here. We must prepare before those---"

As the Variant Heiferfiend was lost in its thoughts, it couldn't help but become distracted as it noticed a strange scene. It said, "Eh?"

Vaguely in the distance, a towering structure could be seen. It floated in the air hovering above the lands of these dense mists; It looked like a mansion or maybe a fortress? None of that matters, for the sight before the Variant Heilfiend eyes, was no different than worm catching sight of an eagle.

"Damn! How could they get here so fast?! Weren't they said to be in Blazing Zone? This rejected Fortress of the---" The Variant Hieferfiend cursed loudly as it recognized the 'Fortress' in-font its eyes, but before it could finish its words of anger there was another change.

Pheww! Pheww! Blaze! Two rays of scarlet-red light beamed towards the two assaulting Warrior realm Heiferfiends. Upon sensing the danger, they quickly tried to act. However, their resistance served only to be futile. It was as if they were made of paper; both instantly turned into flames that soon became as ashes leaving behind blazing flames and the two rays of light that materialized into two separate forms standing proudly on the grounds misty battlefield.

Their red robes dancing in the wind, and red hairs that swayed gently behind their backs. Their eyes were shrouded by a layer of darkness that formed because of the flames before their figures, filling them with a destructive presence like no other in the battlefield.

Xun Yanshan and Nei Sinian seeing these two forms were shocked as they shouted together, "How could they be in this zone?!"

"Chet! So, what if you're that dreadful human group. I've heard about in this two days; I must have a look at how you will get through my blades?!" The Variant Heiferfiends said as its gaze grow colder by several degrees, making his entire being become one with the chilly haze of the environment.

He gripped his dual bladed halberd and slowly stepped towards the central area of the battlefield, causing the chilliness to rise and an even firer wind to blow. The dense mist soon after shrouding all of the battling individual's forms once again...
Dual Sword God

Dual Sword God - Chapter 83: Matuk's Tribe, A Dangerous Mission!

The Gloomy Forest was as a bleak as ever, as the constant downpour carried with it a heaviness that weighted down on the souls of many of the forest's inhabitants. Still, while many would be lost into this dull state of mood, there were a few inhabitants who displayed unusually excited and ferocious traits, as could be seen by the inhabitants of a tribe gathered before us...

It was a vast and loosely fortified tribal ground, with fences made of oak-like wood that enclosed an area spanning no more than 1000 meters. This wooden fence was crudely connected and plunged deeply into the ground; it was connected to a central entryway that had no obstacles with a tower positioned its center elevated a few meters from the ground.

A bundle of sharpened versions of these oak-like woods was bounded together tightly with sturdy looking vines as their pointed tips aimed forwards. They were placed around this wooden enclosure as well as a few meters away from the entryway of the tribe.

Within this tribal ground, was a group of crude buildings made of wood, grass, and stones. A few more ancient and unusually advance buildings could be seen at random locations inside of the tribe, but these buildings only remained as a remnant of their former prestige.

Tum! Tum! Tum-Tum-Tu-Tum! ~

In a wild and archaic style of beat, a group of dark skinny creatures gathered together in the form of a ceremony. They were wearing crudely crafted armor made from the dead wood and grasses collected from the surrounding environment while dancing in a tribe-like manner.

As if they were in-tuned with the beat both of their legs would tap the floor four times before they pointed their claw-like palms towards a large central pillar at the direct center of this tribe.

Upon stretching their palms outwards, they would shout in unison saying, "Ou!" Their voices resounded throughout the area ignoring the by rain. If one looked carefully, they would see a strand of dark energy leave these inhabitants claw-like palms and shoot towards the central pillar.

This pillar was strange, as it was coated in a white tone with its structure made from an unknown source. An arrangement of complex runic patterns was laid out across its plain white surface each of which would be usually dull was now glowing in a myriad of tints.

As the strands of dark energies entered the pillar, the glowing runes on its surface only grew brighter and brighter with each passing moment. Soon, the energies gathered within the pillar reached a point of saturation causing it to send ripples of energies in throughout the sky.

Phew! Quickly, a beam of light shot towards the sky soon after returning to the pillar which then formed a new runic design on its surface. If one observed the pillar once again, they would see that approximately 97% of the pillar was covered with these marking.

Suddenly, the beating of the drums had come to abrupt end. The dancing creatures became silent as a taller and a well-armored elderly looking creature surrounded by a few others walked towards the pillar of the ritual.

The elderly creature then inspected the pillar for a moment before shifting its gaze towards the congregated tribesmen and spoke, "Fellow Tribesmen! In roughly three days the Ascension Pillar will be ready, and our Chieftain will finally be able to ascend to new heights become a High Tier Leader under the wing of our great Zone Commander! If this happens, we will be able to join the direct army and go to battle against the humans on the frontlines earning us points to buy our freedoms!"

"Ouuu! For the glory of the Chieftain!" The group of creatures shouted in unison as they stomped the ground causing the area to shake.

The elderly creature seeing their responses was pleased as it waved its hand causing the creatures to return to silence once again, it then continued to speak, "Good! Therefore, we must do everything within our power to complete the ritual. The hunting squad will patrol the outer regions of the tribe and prevent any other tribes and camps to find out our details, while tomorrow we will commence with the ritual once more at dawn!"

As it finished its statement, waved its hand and shouted, "All Ghoulfiends are dismissed!"

Hearing his words, each of the Ghoulfiends quickly left the ritual area and returned to their posts. A few more powerful looking Ghoulfiends with red markings over their bodies remained at guard around the pillar along with the elderly looking Ghoulfiend who looked at them and spoke, "You elites must remain vigilant at all times, I want the Ascension Pillar to be protected from any forms of danger!"

As the elderly Ghoulfiend said this, he then walked away towards the central hut-like building of the tribe. The surrounding powerful looking Ghoulfiends then promptly responded with a firm tone, "Yes Sir!"

Soon, the atmosphere within the tribe returned to one of solemnness as former liveliness had all but disappeared. Within one of the ancient buildings that did not stand out in any way, was a peculiar Ghoulfiend. It had all the necessary features of features of Ghoulfiends with only its hair carrying a shade of red, but this hair was mostly covered by a rusty helmet that hid its face from the world.

As he it noticed movements of the elderly Ghoulfiend and strong looking Ghoulfiends before its eyes, the strange Ghoulfiend couldn't help but think to itself, "Hmm, so that pillar is the command's main objective. I would have to find a way to either destroy or disrupt that pillars activities to successfully sabotage this tribe. However, those are Elite Class Ghoulfiends along with that Elder Ghoulfiend. While they are worth a lot of points respectively, I will not be able to handle them or easily accomplish this mission with them being on guard."

Feng Yu looked at the extremely vigilant Elite Ghoulfiends and strictness of Matuk's Tribal members with a frown on his face as he pondered. Soon though, there was a disturbance.

"Hey! You over there! What are you doing? Get over here immediately! It is time to patrol the regions outside of the camp!" A powerful voice said.

Hearing this command, Feng Yu quickly reacted by moving towards the group with his head held down. The Elite Ghoulfiend who was the leader of the hunting squad frowned as he saw this, he shouted towards Feng Yu, "What! Is this how you reply to higher command? What is your name brat?!"

Feng Yu hearing this smirked underneath his helmet as he replied with gestures signifying that he couldn't speak. He waved his hand making hand signs soon after pointing towards his throat that had a large slit mark scar on its surface.

The Elite Ghoulfiend seeing this frowned as he said with disgust, "Damn! Why did my group had to have another piece of injured trash?! Sigh..."

The companion Ghoulfiends looked towards Feng Yu with mock in their eyes as they jeered.

"Keke! What's wrong with you? Did Catlin steal your throat?"

"Kekeke! That's most likely the case as I can't even feel his fiend auras he's probably more suitable of being cannon fodder!"

The Elite Ghoulfiend soon quickly recovered from his foul mood and no longer gave any attention to the members of the group. As if they weren't worth his sight, he continued to march towards outskirts of the tribe and commanded, "Let's not waste any more precious time! Hunting squad move out!"

The jeering Ghoulfiends upon hearing his voice quickly reacted by marching forwards and responding in unison, "Yes Squad Leader!"

Feng Yu who saw this scene smiled with a sharp light at the depths of his now oddly red-like eyes. He followed the group at a steady pace soon after vanishing with its members in the depths of forests.

*****

Boom! There was a loud explosion that shook everything within the range of 100 miles, a peerlessly beautiful figure with long white hair was blown across the sky turning into a beam of light that fell into distant dense forests bushes. Her figure continued to roll stacking up wounds all over her body. Soon, she crashed into a rocky wall leaving a deep impression within it.

Pat. Pat. Pat.

A stream of blood flowed down her forehead along with her sweat that fell to the verdant ground. She struggled to keep her eyes that were becoming dull and lifeless open as she looked towards the lights from the explosion in the distant horizon.

Her eyes grew misty as a stream tears fell from the corner of her eyes, soon though, her eyes grow sharp as thick killing intent spread out from her entire being. She spoke in a cold tone, "If it wasn't because my body is facing repercussions, they have never died to likes of that b-tch! I will certainly... certainly... kill you!"

As she finished her statement, she willed for a strange wristband to appear from her storage ring that quickly wrapped its self across her slender wrist. Soon, an odd kind of energy shrouded her form. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

Swoosh! The instant her figure became shrouded by the energy from the wristband, a powerful spiritual sense soon after scanned the area.

The scan was in-depth as if the person behind this spiritual sense was determined to leave no stones unturned, however, after a good while it receded to its source.

A seductive but deep voice soon resounded throughout the area, "Tsk! How could I lose track of such a rare humanity! Hmph! I will find you sooner or later little girl..."

Her voice vanished, as a dark wind slowly began to blow over the depths of the Gloomy Forest...
Dual Sword God

Dual Sword God - Chapter 82: War Command, A Phoenix’s Way

It was what could only be called a dreadful sight, collections of commands listed together in an orderly manner with rankings of a different scale. If one carefully skimmed through these listed commands, they would realize that most of them had a ranking of 'B' and above meaning, that each of the objectives associated to these duties was dangerous beyond the average level.

Naturally, the corresponding war points related to these dangerous war commands are of an entirely different grade as well.

A youth with red hair was currently hidden within some tall shrubberies carefully inspecting a semi-transparent list that was visible only to his eyes, as he browsed through the list his brows would furrow as a dark expression grew on his face.

Feng Yu inspected the [War Commands List] before his eyes in a bad mood, as he frowned and complained in a helpless tone, "Goddamnit! What kind of commands are these? Are they expecting me to be able to accomplish these tasks?!"

He said as the frown on his face grew more noticeable, and expression only became worse. The War Commands are as listed:

"War Commands List – Central Region"

"Sabotage Command"

"Sabotage Matuk's Tribe Rituals - Rank B Command – War Points: 10000."

"Steal the Dark Palace's Sapphire Orb - Rank +A Command – War Points: 250000."

"..."

"Assassination Command"

"Kill the Aqua Nymph Queen - Rank ++A Command – War Points: 500000."

"Kill the Orckusfiend Matuk - Rank ++B Command – War Points: 50000."

"..."

"Hunting Command"

"Hunt a Nymph Fiendkin - Rank +C Command – War Points: 2500."

"Hunt a Ghoulfiend - Rank C Command – War Points: 1000."

"Hunt a Sub Terranean - Rank C Command – War Points: 1000."

"..."

Feng Yu looked at the list, again and again, hoping it would re-update, but soon, he eventually gave up and decided to accept what couldn't be changed. He then gripped his fists tightly as a firm look came on his face while he spoke, "It no longer matters, whether it is an impossibility or no different from utter suicide. Since I cannot escape this region, I will move forward even if I must walk through a sea of fire, and field of needles. The Phoenix doesn't grow without enduring the flames of rebirth!"

He skimmed through the list and spoke once more, "Hmm, the Steal the Dark Palace's Sapphire Orb, the Dark Palace? Where is this place supposed to be?"

Upon saying this, the information before his face changed creating a map screen with its edges mostly covered in darkness and a title saying, 'Map of the Endless Rain Zone.' Towards the central section of this map was an endless sight of trees and mountains that stretched all the way into the darkness, a few faded outlines of constructs could be seen at random locations.

There was an extensive outline of a palace placed on top of a massive mountain surrounded by other mountains at the very center of this map; this palace was highlighted in a bright blue color.

Feng Yu who saw this couldn't help but frown as he thought to himself, "So if this section here is this so-called Dark Palace. Where am I currently placed on this map? Where is the Gloomy Forest?"

As he said this, the map information updated once more.

If one carefully looked at the edges of this map, they would see a forest that occupied a small fraction of the area covered in darkness. A tiny patch of visible regions could be noticed as a small circle was surrounding them, looking closely at this forest's center one would see an even smaller red dot that flickered now and then.

Looking at this red dot at the edge of this massive map, and the distant mountains and trees leading all the way to the glowing blue palace. Feng Yu shook his head and rejected the idea, "I can't even tell if I will be able to safely leave this forest much less travel to steal a precious orb from a place at such a distance. Let's see if there is a better option available to me..."

He once more continued to skim through the listing soon coming across an unusual name, and spoke with a voice of puzzlement, "Matuk? Such a strange name, I wonder who this is... hmm, the Orckusfiend Matuk?"

"What is an Orckusfiend?" Feng Yu asked as he willed to the interface before him, soon, the image of a familiar looking towering humanoid creature with a robust figure appeared before his eyes.

He exclaimed in surprise, "Wait! Isn't that large fiend trying to catch me a type of Orckusfiend?"

Feng Yu quickly looked over the details after willing to select the mission and was stunned. He said, "Well! The Chieftain of Matuk's Tribe which is inside of the Gloomy Forest, that True Foundation realm bastard. Haha! Who would have thought? While I won't be able to kill you, I don't have to since there are plenty of ways to get revenge..."

A fierce light shone in his eyes as he looked at the sabotage mission instead of the killing mission and willed, "I will accept the command - Sabotage the Matuk's Tribe Rituals!"

As Feng Yu said this, a voice quickly responded in mind, "Request granted! You now have 3 Days to accomplish this mission. If you fail this mission, then because you have no points you will lose all rights to participate in the Ancient Dragon Battlefield Wars. The War Command has been Issued!"

Upon finishing its words, a flash of light flickered briefly over Feng Yu's body as he felt himself become restricted to a greater will. A genuinely uncomfortable feeling, however, he quickly recovered his state of being and looked towards the area in the forest where he had escaped from as he thought to himself, "Hmm, now that most of the forests fiendkin have been notified of my presence I will have to find a way to travel back to that camp I first saw I came to this place. What method would be the best means?"

Feng Yu thought to himself as he scratched his chin with his fingers, he then spread his soul force around the environment while carefully keeping himself hidden within the tall bushes. Soon, a few fluctuations of energies could be felt coming from the distance.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

As if a storm was passing through, a group of black rays beamed their way through the bleak forest as they tore through the harsh downpour that fell upon the forests lands. These beams of black lights had trails of red amongst them which if one was capable of perceiving connected to two bright gleaming red eyes within each of these beams of lights.

These creatures radiated a shocking aura as they swiftly swept pass Feng Yu's area beaming there way further into the forest. Their spiritual senses swept about the area covering even including Feng Yu's form, however, unnoticed by even Feng Yu himself, his figure remained hidden to all as an odd bright light flickered for a moment at the depths of his soul.

Feng Yu seeing them pass by let out a sigh of relief as he thought to himself, "Whew! That was close! I was even prepared to tunnel through the earth to escape once more. How on earth did they not find me? No matter, this isn't important right now I have to figure out how to get--"

As he was thinking this, his words were soon interrupted by another change.

Swoosh! Boom! A towering figure dropped from the sky as his feet pressed into grass fields created a massive crater, he then swiftly pushed unto the ground once again and launched himself into air soaring towards the distance. noveltranslationweb.blogspot.com

The voice of the figure echoed throughout the region as it roared in anger, "Damn human! You better not let me find you again!"

As Feng Yu saw the Orckusfiend Matuk vanished towards the depths of the forest, he couldn't help but radiate a tinge of killing intent as he thought to himself, "Ma-tuk!... I hope you're ready, for when I am done with your tribe. You will rue the day you set out to catch this young master!"

Feng Yu was so upset that he didn't even notice he had spoken in third person a way usually expressed by his former or 'their' former bodies main 'resident.' He then picked himself up from the ground and began to swiftly but cautiously make his way towards the tribe's location.

Swoosh-swoosh! As his figure, danced through the trees and tall bushes, a few unusual events couldn't be avoided.

Swish! A thick and dark looking vine that had mouths all over it abruptly shot towards the figure of Feng Yu that was traveling through some bushes. The vine was quick as it moved like a pale green light that instantly surrounded Feng Yu's body, as he sensed the danger his eye was capable of perceiving, he promptly acted by using his instinct.

Like it was second nature, he moved one of his hands that had been continually holding the hilt of Black-lightning instantly drawing the sword from its sheath following up with a blindingly quick assault.

Shing! ~ "Extremity Sword Path: Path of Speed – Thunder Flash Sword!" Feng Yu roared as his blazing, and slightly thunderous aura energy swept towards the thick vine that surrounded his body. His half-step sword intent pushed towards the max as it formed a sharp semi-transparent beam with his aura energies that soon quickly collided with the vine.

BOOM! "Sreeee---!" Following a loud boom, the scream of an unusual creature could be heard within the forest as the vine was burnt and sliced to pieces. The remaining section of the vine had swiftly retreated to a dark part of the gloomy forest as the dense rain fell drowning the remainder of it wails.

Feng Yu who had successfully cut away, the vine did not waste any time as he moved like a streak of red lightning quickly escaping the unknown dangerous plant's territory. Soon, he arrived at the destroyed narrow pathway.

He looked at the scene in front of him with a frown on his face. He spoke, "Tsk! How troublesome? Now I will have to find a new way around, and I still haven't found my way to sneak into the---"

Feng Yu was about to complain some more, but soon, his expression changed. He looked at the hand of a corpse in the rubbles before him and spoke with a strange smile on his face, "Hahaha! There is also that way..."

His eyes gleamed in an odd light, as the reflection of the dark skinny creature shone illuminating his dark mood...
